If you were to take a guage cluster from the F80 M3, could you retrofit it in an E46 M3. I seems like they are the same guage clusters.

how do the gauge motors not brake, I thought they were extremely fragile?
You need to pry off the needles very carefully! Make sure you lay the cluster on a towel very gently or even a piece of cushion. Then once needles are all removed (assuming you’ve installed the overlays) you put the needles back on but not fully. You need to leave a gap (2mm like the video said) and place them like you had them when you took them off (take a picture before removing the needles). Once you place them exactly how you had them before you took them off, then and ONLY THEN should you push the needles all the way down and DO NOT AND I MEAN IT. DO NOT SPIN THE NEEDLES OR MOVE THE NEEDLES. The motor for each needles has a small plastic pieces that will easily pop off and now you have a busted STEPPER MOTOR. Do your self the favor and take your time with this.

Why does bimmian sell red needles whose instructions show to simply plop them on, but here he is constantly talking about "bottoming out the motors"?

@@christophermcdonough3466 I mean there are speedometers with lights that light up sometimes example handbrake light or engine check or aigbag if you put a cover on them you won't get to see them lit...
