    I don’t know if this is everyone’s experience, but this treatment combo has been amazing for my bleached type 4 hair. I pretty much only wear wash n goes and I used to be VERY prone to fairy knots. Once I bleached my hair/started using Olaplex...I have barely any fairy knots even though my routine hasn’t changed at all. My hair is more manageable, shinier, and I experience less shedding, breakage, and dryness since using the treatment every other week, even though I’ve bleached my hair twice. And you’re so right the slip is really nice. I’m a believer lol. Thanks for sharing your experience ☺️

    I used this combo a month ago and I agree that’s it’s definitely an excellent strengthening treatment. I used the two because my hair I felt was suffering from some form of heat damage but not severe enough that my curl pattern was visibly changed or altered. I was trying to do the moisture-protein balance but felt it wasn’t working and my ends were breaking off rapidly every wash day. After using the treatment my hair was very strong and needed more hydration so I stopped using butters and heavy oils and my hair was able to retain more of the moisture it was getting as a result. Also I have had less breakage, smoother cuticles, easier manageability and tighter more defined coils. The increased elasticity in my hair really allowed for my hair to be stretched and not snap as easily as before.

      I loooovvveeeee reading these detailed comments. It just further validates the results that I’m seeing from continued use. And you’re right, I’m noticing that the butters and oils are beginning to be too much. And my hair is retaining moisture for longer. Thanks so much for sharing!!!

      @@HeyKnottyGirl Of course! I’ve been learning a lot from these professional stylists called Black Girl Curls. They pioneered the 30 day hair detox I figure it might be worth a try and could be cool to document it to on your channel even to see if what they say is true.

    I love this video!
    I recently bleached my hair and don't have any real damage but I know using this treatment every once in a while will help keep my curls moisturized and healthy.

      Yes! I use it twice a month since I’ve bleached my hair and my coils are still here!

    That Olaplex No 3 is everything and I'm mad it took me so long to try it out. I might try the curlsmith dupe but I was looking at the ingredients and it honestly looks like what I would find on a bottle of conditioner so we'll see. The brand living proof has a night cap treatment that acts as a sort of pre-shampoo treatment and I've used it once a long time ago but I wanted to try it again since my hair is longer. I think it could be a nice to either use as a prepoo or use before styling to give my hair a lil something extra.
    Btw, Fred is looking really good! Maybe I should name my hair lol

      I was just checking out Living Proof products yesterday in Ulta! But I am loving this Olaplex combo.
      And I highly recommend naming your hair! Like seriously. Fred has a personality of his own and I treat him better 😉

    Hey 👋🏾 do you use it on clean hair or dirty hair? Does your hair need to be damped because you mentioned it on the directions but your hair looked dry not damped?

    • @HeyKnottyGirl
      @HeyKnottyGirl  2 года назад +1

      I’ve honestly tried it all ways lol. If my hair has a lot of product from the previous style, I’ll shampoo once and apply it. If not I’ll just use my spray bottle to dampen each section before I go in with 0. And just a couple weeks ago, I tried it on completely dry hair and I didn’t really like doing it that way.

    What if you have products like oils or gels on your hair? Should I wash it out before starting with 0, 3 etc?

    • @HeyKnottyGirl
      @HeyKnottyGirl  2 года назад

      I do. If I used a lot of gel or heavy products I’ll usually shampoo once to get rid of the product. If I have time, I’ll shampoo it the night before or early in the morning so my hair can somewhat dry.

    Do you shampoo conditioner and deep conditioner or do a protein treatment after ?

    • @HeyKnottyGirl
      @HeyKnottyGirl  2 года назад +1

      I definitely shampoo afterwards, either with the Olaplex 4 or a clarifying shampoo. Then I follow up with whichever conditioner/deep conditioner I pick that day. I’ve used it before moisturizing and protein treatments without any problems

    Hey there . Are we really supposed to use them both ? Can I only use number 3 ? Thank you ❤️

    • @HeyKnottyGirl
      @HeyKnottyGirl  2 года назад

      No, you don’t have to use both of them. I know a lot of people who only use number 3 and love the results.
      I’m just a lil extra sometimes 😉💛
