Hi Rachel thanks for giving your honest review! We want to give you some tips to improve your experience. Try using no.8 on hair that is a little more damp than what yours in in the video. No.8 is different than traditional moisture masks in that it will not leave a white mask ( or coating) on the top of the hair so if you see that chances are you are using too much and wont get the desired effect. Less truly is more even with your thick hair 6 pumps should do the trick! Also unlike traditional masks you wont get the weight that is associated often times with moisture. One other hot tip Olaplex repairs disulfide bonds in the hair those bonds are broken in various ways through chemical damage ( like color hilights and relaxers) Thermal damage ( using hot tools) and Mechanical damage ( brushing the hair too hard, tight pony tails etc) because these bonds are broken in various ways daily Olaplex can not be over used. We hope this helps and are here to answer any questions you may have.
Olaplex … the number 8 and salon version 4 in 1 both have “Dimethicone” as a main ingredient top of the list please can you tell me that this Dinethicone you use is definitely one of the water soluble ones. It would be good if you could specify exactly which Dimethicone you use on the ingredients label ??? Hope you answer
@@helenalovelock1030 Hi there! The silicones we use in OLAPLEX, Divinyldimethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer, are water-soluble. It is lightweight and doesn't build up like a traditional, back in the day silicone. We added it to our formula for shine, softness and moisture retention. Hope this helps! ⭐️
Hey Rachel, the number 8 works great if you keep your hair a bit wet. I find we forget our hair porosity when it comes to Olaplex. My hair loves water so I keep my hair wet when using # 8 the product is the best detangling product I’ve ever used. I found once the product dries on my hair or if I use it on dampened hair it just sits on my hair and I can’t get a comb through it. This is my hair in general with any kind of mask or conditioners. I never comb through my hair when a product get dry I’ll always wet the hair. Furthermore, section your hair and apply the product in between sections not just at the top. This will help a lot and make your process easier. I’m on my second month of using Olaplex and use it only once a month. My first time, wasn’t the greatest as I did not use the products as instructed. But the products work.
I loooooove #8 my hair had never felt so soft and moisturized. Last was was day I lost two strands compared to soooo many prior to using this product. I will use that for the rest of my life I’m certain.
Ordered the whole system after watching your videos! My first time using No. 8 was this past wash day and thought my hair felt more moisturized after drying with my RevAir compared to my last wash day with Olaplex. I only use the system about once a month to prep for a braid down though 🤷🏾♀️
I liked the number 8. I do believe you might have do a clarifying wash and then do the system again and then put the mask on while your hair is soaking wet. You are still cute even with puffy hair!
Hey your have beautiful hair, I think that the olaplex line is made to allow customers to choose what they need. For exemple you may have to shoose between the conditioner and the mask depending how your hair feels.
The beautiful singing at the end 😍. I love the hair perfectly no3 and I have tried it together with the 0, I used it about 3 times til I was happy my hair had improved then I stopped. I'm not sure these products are for regular use for us curlies. Use when needed and that all, in my opinion
I would try it IF they made this without coconut oil. So the No. 8 needs another curly friendly no protein companion. Very descriptive video, much appreciated 💕
I tried Olaplex #8 on my high porosity hair, medium texture, two days ago. I pre-pooed, clarified and then applied the Olaplex #3 for 15 minutes, with no heat and then I applied #8 for 20 minutes, put on a plastic cap and sat under my hairdryer (sorry I don't have a steamer cap yet) and rinsed in warm water and then with cold water and I Didn't feel any difference. No extra moisture at all :( . I wonder if it's a fail for my hair type.
I used it again a few times and I love it! My hair was overly treated at that time but the 8 is amazing on dripping wet hair my hair was wet in the video but not wet enough.
I used it on wet hair.. and I felt like I got the same result as she did. It made me think the same in regards of maybe it's too much. I'll either calm down on the frequency or just stick to 0 and 3.
I just tried the 0,3, and 8. I know for sure I do not like the number 8. My hair felt dry and had no moisture. I don't have heat damage but I have areas that are dry. I may be returning them all. Thanks for the review
My hair was damp when I applied it. it didn't come across that way on the camera I used it exactly as directed. Next time I will try it on sopping wet hair after giving my hair a break and giving it a good clarifying wash.
Most definitely, I needed to try the 8 out a few times before i was able to really experience what it can do! I love it, its the top two Olaplex products I recommend now (the 3 and the 8!)
I too had heat damage on my natural hair and I do love Olaplex . However, it did not help my heat damaged hair. The only thing that worked was to trim trim off those heat damaged ends. Olaplex did not repair my damaged ends. I had to cut them off and continue on with growth.
@@5pctLowBattery your length isn’t worth $200? Ok, bye. If someone’s hair is flourishing even though yours may not have let us be happy for them. However, if a person’s hair is short then of course that may be different.
@@5pctLowBattery Yeeeesssss!! Girl,Thank you!! That's all I was saying is cut/ trim the damaged ends instead. All they are going to do is keep breaking. Olaplex did nothing to repair my damaged ends so I just trimmed them bad boys off. Lol lol 🤣😂😅 Olaplex is expensive and was a waste of my money.
My thoughts a thick mask and on thick coarse basically dry hair not distributing it through with a wide tooth comb and maybe some steam or under a dryer.. also these videos are just to hear the persons thoughts on a product but everybody is different in this case hair what doesn’t work for one person may be great for you…my thoughts and opinions….
You're absolutely right, these are just my thoughts and experiences on it! Some people love Olaplex No.8. I tried it a second time and found that its just not for me!
You said your link gives free shipping is there a code or do you have to purchase the usual 50 dollars because I have the entire system I just wanted to try #8
Hi Kathy, I just got in touch with my Olaplex person and they said shipping is free on Orders over $50. 😞 I’m sorry love I wish it could still apply to your order.
@@RachelAdina Thanks, Rachel I appreciate it I just purchased the 0 thru 7 a couple of days ago I didn't even receive it yet, but I'll order #8 at another time 💕
My hair was dry and life lessons 👀 I have been using Olaplex for a month and I noticed a great chance ❤️❤️ BUT I LIKE U... It started feeling funny.. after my last treatment I went behind it with L'oreal 8 second Wonder water and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind doing a review my hair has never been so curly and shiny in my life please and thank you. 💯
You review was good but incorrect use of the product. You applied the product to dry hair that wasn’t shampooed first. When reading the directions it says apply to damp hair. Please make sure to read the directions before creating misleading content.
My hair was wet and freshly washed. I mentioned in the video that my hair had product overload from various ingredients and has a tendency to look and feel super dry; although my hair was not super dripping wet and actively air drying it was in fact wet.

Interesting response. Rachel are you going to re-try if you do please update with your findings following the new instructions. Thanks x

I saw the number 8 just melted into the skin on someone's hand. It appeared to be a lightweight moisturizer.
Can be because of product buildup or you needed to use it on wet/damp hair
I'm confused, what were the instructions... I didn't see that. Was your hair freshly washed? Was your hair wet or damp?

Came on...with the Quickness! Let's watch, cause I just bought this one!😬😬

The No.8 was wayyyyyyy to much for my hair. I adore 🥰 the system and how it has helped my hair alot.
When you say too much to you mean too heavy ?
@@helenalovelock1030 it left my hair frizzy and unmanageable.
Yess what I've been waiting for!
This was helpful. Maybe you should try 8 after a clarifier (Redken Detox) and see how that works.
It really Needs to be damp hair.
Your hair is AMAZING very pretty lady

Based on my research, hairdressers are recommending 0, 3 then 8. I wouldn't think it'll work on dry hair.
No.8 is awesome after the shampoo really. And the shampoo is the best. Bigger oil bottle snd bigger 3 6 too for same price please 🙏🏾
I used it again a few times and I love it! My hair was overly treated at that time but the 8 is amazing on dripping wet hair my hair was wet in the video but not wet enough.
i don't understand why you did not put the mask on wet hair...i think this is why it did not work, and also try to use less products maybe

Yes I think it should be used once or twice a month not for everything 💕
I just tried the 0,3, and 8. I know for sure I do not like the number 8. My hair felt dry and had no moisture. I don't have heat damage but I have areas that are dry. I may be returning them all. Thanks for the review
Your hair may be too healthy for these bonding products
Great video but why didn’t you apply it on wet hair ?

Well I had no idea olaplex even had silicones in it.... Chile
Not number 3 if I’m correct but yes i realized the conditioner number 5 did
Dang girl your skin glowing ! :O
