    My hair: 4c, super dry, kinky, hard, and thin, but I have a gazillion strands (thank Gawddd). I feel like I got the most difficult texture of hair that exists. I’ve NEVER had a remotely chill experience washing/detangling/styling. As a child, I got my hair done EVERY 5 weeks w/a new set of braids for easy protective styling/manageability. Never maintained length past my shoulders.
    This product right hereeeeee..... n I’ve tried dozens (all the popular ones RUclipsrs have suggested), is a God send. That plus my shampoo & deep conditioner 🙌🏿. My wash/detangle process takes only 45 min (from nearly 2+hrs)!! ... the Olaplex strengthens these thin strands enough to actuallyyyyy retain length.
    I can’t wait to see a years’ worth of results from my new regimen. I am beyond grateful. Can’t believe how much hair I retain now. Who knew.
    It’s worth the $$ cuz now I don’t have to buy all the bs. In fact, I gave away over $500 worth of products. No longer needed, amen!

      @marleyhill34 3 года назад +2

      Same story. High porosity, high density, ultra-fine, ultra-dry 4c hair. never grew past my shoulders. In 4 months there's been little to no split ends, single strand knots or broken ends. I've been using Olaplex #4,5,6,7 and 8 every week. I bought them in a kit for 145 and it will last the entire year. I still do my moisture and protein regime. Olaplex is a bond builder not a moisturiser or a protein.

      I have high porosity and have been using #4-#8. shampoo, conditioner, leave-in, oil and mask every week from June 2021- October 2021. My hair usually breaks easily due to being ultra-fine. It's got few to little, split ends, single strand knots and broken ends. If you have strong healthy hair, you don't need it. But my hair is weak and fragile and it's made a huge difference in length retention and healthy ends.

    My stylist uses this on my hair, but I can't afford to see her every week. When she's used it on my hair I've felt a HUGE difference so I'm hoping once I start using it at home I get the same results.
    Also, I went to the salon with dirty hair after taking out 2.5-month-old braids and she started with No.0 without doing a prewash. Just FYI if people are skeptical about applying No. 0 on dirty hair.

    So I know I'm late to this video but I just discovered your channel. You could do an update video. I bought a discounted Olaplex kit with #0, #3-8 in June 2021. So I've been used #0 and #3 once and I've been using #4-#8 once a week. I've had #1 and #2 applied twice at Edward James Putney London Aveda Salon. My hair has few to no split ends. My hair is high porosity, ultra-fine,ultra-dry high-density 4c pen spring coils. It always has terrible split ends, single strand knots and broken ends. My hair has been trimmed/dusted 3 times since June 2021 and there has been nothing to trim/dust! The only thing different I've done is the Olaplex. I normally do moisture and protein treatments but the Olaplex has taken things to another level. I'm honestly shook. I would say if you have high-density hair you are only going to get 3 uses out of the #3 bottle. If you hair is past your shoulders in length probably even less.

    I love using it but a little goes a long way, I found no need to be heavy handed. I have used 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8. I found 3 and 8 works best for my fine 4 a hair but I definitely recommend.

    When I read the instructions on the bottles, No.0 is to be applied to clean dry hair, followed by No. 3. No.0 is the primer for No. 3. I found that when I didn't follow the instruction, I didn't get the results I wanted.

    Can I do a protein treatment after?

    • @nucchi
      @nucchi  3 года назад

      I believe olaplex has a minimal amount of protein it, so would give a mild protein intake. If you want to incorporate real protein treatments in your routine, I'd do it in between your olaplex ones. You wouldn't need to do it straight after xx

    • @marleyhill34
      @marleyhill34 3 года назад

      It depends on how much protein your hair needs. I have high porosity, ultra-fine hair. I do a strong hard protein (Aphogee 2-step) before I do the Olaplex #0 and #3. I use #4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 weekly with my moisture and medium protein treatment ( Aphogee 2-minute). I use a mild protein spray daily (Aphogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer). I have had no adverse effects in 4 months. Olaplex is not a protein treatment. It is a bond builder, bond reconstructor and bond multiplier which targets the di-sulphide bonds in the hair strand molecular structure. I think the di-sulphide bonds are smaller than the protein molecule. The disulphide bonds hold the protein together.

      the 250ml bottle should last you a year if your hair is medium density and shoulder length. If your hair is healthy and strong, you do not need it. My hair is weak, easily damaged and fragile due to genetic conditions, a sensitive allergic scalp, hormones and environment so it's worth it for me. I only go to the salon once every 12-16 weeks.
