Thank you so much for this one year review! We appreciate all of your feedback! Just a note -- We did repackage No.0 with a new nozzle, but it is a stream instead of a mist! Although Olaplex is completely safe and non toxic it is not intended to be airborne as the fine mist particles can get into the nasal passages and could induce coughing. Therefore it is not recommended to place in a misting sprayer! 🥰
Doing the review after a year is absolutely what I was looking for - thank you. I would love to see pictures of your hair from day one, to now. Picture thousand words 🤗
Started using Olaplex because my hair was shedding and breaking off like crazy from heat damage and over-processing. I'm on week two of the routine. I can definitely feel the difference in my hair. I still need to get my ends trimmed but these products reduced my shedding and breakage. Forever grateful. I use the entire system with the exception of the products you need to have a license to purchase. I will be braiding my hair and using this treatment in between to help my hair grow back. Thanks for your review.
Very informative and thorough. Also thank you for your suggestion in alternating the use of No. 0+3 and No. 8 on wash days as oppose to using them all in one day. I think that’s a great idea!!!!!
Lord!!!! Loved your video it was great and very informative I didn't even realize how long it was I didn't care I'm going to listen to it again and take notes so I appreciate you you did a great job absolutely love it so I'm going to try it because of you I've seen many videos and yours is the best so far, and I'm going to hear it again and probably try that new product you're going to be going into thank you and God bless you
Nice video, I am a new subscriber. When using the Olaplex conditioner, it is recommended that we use either Olaplex #5 or #8 deep cobditioner on wash day. Hopefully, your hair won't feel so iverprocessed. 😊
I used no 3 alone on damp hair. Left it on for one hour/ shower cap. Then shampoo then used a hydrating protein mask. Could see a difference in my thick, chemically, colour treated, damaged hair. After mask rinse, then used a leave in conditioner, then blow-dry lotion no. 6 / spray and styled. My opinion no 0 waste money. Olaplex is for thick, chemically, colour treated damaged hair. I do not use Olaplex shampoo, use the Redken colour shampoo. I think k18 is for fine hair. Olaplex no protein. So if you have very dry hair, you must use a good, hydrating, protein mask
I've heard a licensed cosmotologist agree that No 0 is a waste of money but 3 is the bomb They also spoke highly about Redken. I suspect we watched the same video(s). Learnt some great tips there regarding Olaplex. I have the whole range but will be leaving out 0 when it runs out. My plan is to visit a salon to get Olaplex 1 + 2, then maintain with 3. Love 6, 8. Using 9 but they say 6 is great for blow drying and 9 not necessary. Advised to use a thermal heat protectant for flat ironing etc. I love DE's Agave and Lavender Cream as it gives me a silkier feel.
can't remember if I heard this on your channel but basically what I'm doing this year is using more factory-made products and less homemade organics that people sell
Do you still use these products?.. these are my most desired products..my hair is dry bleached colored breakage pron short wavy.. should I try to get healthy long hair?? Pl reply 😊
Olaplex is a unique bond system because of their Patent ingredient. Curlsmith Bond Salve, isn't a "Bond" treatment, it acts more like a protein. It isn't even a comparison because of Olaplex's "Patent" ingredient. Curlsmith and the other products which markets their treatment as a Bond Product, is not, simply because they do not have the "Patent" ingredient.
This isn’t completely true. There is more than one way to encourage re-bonding in the hair strand and there are many types of bonds in your hair - mostly keratin sulfur bonds, but also hydrogen bonds I think in the fatty acids and water particles. So some bonding products target the other types of bonds and it’s not about the ingredients it’s more about the pH.
This is my first video I am watching of yours so take this with a grain of salt if you have been to the exspensive curl places but they love olaplex for DAMAGED hair simply because it’s great for bonding. I only started using olaplex again because I used bleach and want to make sure my curly 4c hair stays healthy. Now MOISTURIZATION on the other hand is NOT olaplex and 4c hair NEEDS amazing products that MOISTURIZE in order to keep the shine, bounce, and beauty that comes along with our hair. And WATER honey water is essential and a curly girl taught me how to use water and utilize in ways I never knew. Like my mom is Jamaican but she just never had time and hated dealing with hair so she did to me what she did with her hair which was relaxer and that was the best way to help me during my transition
I'm in love with their clarifier 4C! Amazing for removing everything eithout feeling overly squeaky. You can feel your hair is clean! Follow up with 8!
I use all the Olaplex products once a week and my hair is ok lol but I gotta agree that no.8 isn't giving what it's suppose to give. I think I rather invest my money on the no.9 hair serum they just came out with, I really like using it before the no.6 with a couple drops of 7! Do you think you will ever use Olaplex again?
I am so glad you said what you did abt not using the whole line in one wash bc the company does not tell us this! This product is great quality , makes my hair strong and eliminated breakage but i noticed my hair felt over processed after use with no curl definition. I thought it was due to heat damage i will try to use 2 products per wash day and see if that makes a difference. Also it will make the product stretch longer too 😊. That shampoo is no joke it tho i love it! Thank you very much for the tip
My hair has absolutely changed since starting olaplex and I keep adding more and more products and they never disappoint. The only thing is the shampoo that causes dandruff. I use a shampoo with sulfate with the routine and it’s fine
I’m on a similar journey but using Nutree Hair Botox. I am trying to use it for a whole year…once every two months, and flat iron my hair, and see how it helps with the overall smoothness and frizz level of my hair. I love when people do this.
I loved this video! I just bought and used no 0+3 for the 1st time cuz I have been feeling so discouraged sisss. So the crown of my head is perpetually drier/frizzier/rougher/elongated than the rest of my hair and wasn't always this way. I haven't figured out how to fix it still. You think olaplex will help me too?
From the sound of the current state of your hair, I think OLAPLEX would be a nice try for you. Give it a chance and see how your hair reacts! Let me know!
So i just tried it for the first time, i thought they meant the hair should only be dampened with number 0 not damp your hair with water then add 0. Lol it still came out good because i followed up with the shampoo conditioner and mask but that’s nice to know the actual instructions
I'm not a hairstylist, but when I used the entire line all in one day on my wash day, my hair felt over processed. If it were me, I would do 0,3 one week (without 8), and 8 another week (without 0,3). Hope that helps!
@@tiffyshs I washed it out. So what I did was: Week 1: 0,3 (30 min) then wash my hair with 4,5, and follow up with 6/7 (All in one day). Week 3: Wash my hair with 4,5, follow up with 8, wash 8 out, then apply 6/7 (all in one day). This was a time where I was washing my hair once every 3 to 4 weeks so I can't say how my hair would have reacted if I used OLAPLEX treatments (0/3/8) weekly back to back. Hope this helps! Lmk if you have any more questions!
Hi, JOHN 3:16 “For God so loved the world, he gave his one and only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” God loves you all so so much! Please repent! ❤️❤️ please repent!❤️
Wow, I appreciate your video. I used all the products in one day and hair felt dry for some reason (the day of and over the course of the time I wore it straight) as a result I took it back, I just didn't think it worked for my hair.
@@ioannamaria5969 you know you're probably right! I didn't think of that. I moisturize my hair quite a bit and always deep condition but maybe the product just had too much protein for my hair.
The first time I used their products I used all of them and my hair felt so dry and brittle. A week later I decided to try them again and I realized it will not work if your hair is full of product (gel, oil, etc). Make sure to rinse EXTREMELY well between each stage. Use a deep conditioner that will reintroduce moisture into your hair instead of No. 8. You do not need a ton of product, a little truly does go a long way.
You def look like kerry Washington but I would say dont tell ppl to not use the entire system in the way its meant, maybe say you would recommend not using the entire system every wash day based on …. Insert your opinion. But you could have been feeling over moisturizered or over proteined. You know whats best for you❤
🤩🤩This was a good and informative video I use a spray bottle of my own because the spray bottle they offer sprays like a water 💦 hose 😂😂😂 Awesome products I will say

yes! the shampoo, but love all of their products. I can’t wait to try no. 9

Curlsmith bondbuilder is a protein treatment, so if your hair is sensitive to protein olaplex might be better.

So what did you switch to after using olaplex
Hiiiii girrrrlll, have you tried the new Olaplex serum #9? Mine is on the way!

Hello 😊
So did you shampoo your hair before using 0 &3 ?
Or did you apply 0 on dirty hair?
I always washed, or at least rinsed my hair before using 0&3 depending on the dirty level lol
Olaplex says you don't have to wash your hair first (just dampen). But that you can do a light shampoo if you want to.
