Great job. This is exactly what I was looking for..a rectangle granny without big holes. And the reversing is producing absolutely perfect rectangles. Thank you, well done
I'm so glad you put this tutorial out for us. I absolutely love the continuous go on the granny squares but hate having a square blanket. Thank you so much Rebekah!!!
You’re very welcome! 🌸
I love your granny square tutorial and have been making lots of blankets with it so now I am going to love the rectangle version this is definitely different for me.
You are simply the BEST! Thank you for the wonderful videos.
Glad you like them! Thank you so much 🥰🌸
Thanks bunches. I am doing this as a scrap blanket by doing 2 strands together & changing as a strand finishes. It is kind of thick but I figured it might make a mat for an animal shelter or to put on floor for baby. Great way to get rid of those dibs & dabs.
I love this tutorial and have started several projects using this technique. However, I found out it doesn’t work with ombré yarns because the “seamless”part goes out the window since the colors will not mesh and there’s a definite seam when you turn the work. I’ve simply stopped turning it … I’ll see how the project turns out.
Love your tutorials, I've been wanting to do a rectangular granny square blanket, thank you ☺️
You’re so welcome 💕
Beautiful. I started mine. Mixed colors ( pastels) for upcoming spring. I learned from u to do the seamless granny square as well. Excellent teacher. Thank you. Stay safe. 🥰🧶💐
What yarn is the pink you used for the example please? So pretty. Now making this in rainbow colors for my Grandaughter x
This is such a great pattern to help use some of those cake yarns that otherwise aren’t used! Thanks so much for making this rectangle pattern available to us. I AM one of those that ends up with twisted granny’s so totally appreciate a pattern that takes care of that for me. YAY 👏🏻☺️👏🏻
You’re very welcome! Cake yarns are perfect 😍
Hi Bec, just decided to make this using RHSS Stripes in Polo. Haven't used this one before. Hope it suits! Have been diagnosed with cancer so making this for my chemo visits....love Jilly from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
How many multiples would equal a 20x 28 rectangle?
This is awesome Rebekah! I've been looking for a rectangle that I really love. Thank you❤❤🤗🤗
P.S. I think a tutorial for a Solid Granny Rectangle and a Granny Merge Rectangle would be awesome as well😉😉
A rectangular granny merge is in the works 💕🌸
@@BlossomCrochet Awesome😊😊❤❤
Just what I was looking for. Have successfully made three no twist square blankets thanks to you. My last rectangle went skewiff so delighted to find this tutorial. Thanks
That’s so good to hear! 🥰🌸
I just love this granny pattern in a rectangle.
Thank you for sharing with us!
Love that it’s reversible, and that you didn’t chain one after each cluster.
Thanks for this tutorial 🤗.
Hi Rebekah Thanks again for another fantastic tutorial - love this and no twisting - a must have.
Take care and stay safe

I’ve been wanting to make a rectangular granny blanket and didn’t know how to start or do it so thank you very much for this amazingly helpful tutorial! May I ask what brand your hooks are? And where you got them?
My hooks are Clover Soft Touch and they were my Nanna’s before she passed away. You can buy them in lots of places though 🌸
@@BlossomCrochet ahhh thank you, I only have one hook from my granny and it’s a bamboo 8mm
Can you say the lenght of different chains you tried and the final results in dimentions of the pieces?
Hi from Cape Town!! I just wanted to say I love your tutorials and have made many many blankets and shawls using your videos. I had never crocheted before in my life and you taught me!! I've been wanting to write and say thank you so very very much for all your tutorials and your beautiful patient manner with which you explain the stitches. Take care, and stay safe, thanks again, Lily.
Thank you for such a lovely comment, Lily 🌸 it’s always wonderful to hear that my tutorials are helpful for people!
is there a written instruction for this, I love it!
I know this was posted 2 years ago but I have a question. You might not see this but what would happen if your original chain wasn't a multiple of three??? I'm just curious lol
Love this tutorial. I’m half way done with the blanket and I just stated it this afternoon.
Hi I'm crochet pillowcase everything gon well bit side ov my pillowcase gon wider then the middle...tll me y thus happening plz ...thanku ..from uk
Hello Rebekah, thank you so much for this. It’s just what I’ve been waiting for. I have some wonderful wool yarn ready to go.
Can’t wait to create a rectangle Granny blanket following your lovely clear instructions .
Kindest regards from Dianne in Melbourne 💐😘
Thanks so much Dianne! 🌸
Can I do this pattern for king size bed I must do what you doing
Yes absolutely!
Very pretty, thank you for the tutorial.
Glad you like it! 🌸
Thank you Rebecca. I absolutely love the way you started your rectangle. I also love the tight granny stitches and you are a master at making it tight and not twisted. Thanks for your commitment to excellent crochet!
Thank you so much! That’s very kind, I’m glad you enjoyed it 🌸
I have a question. How does turning the work effect the colors of self striping yarn? When you turn, does it make the colors a little "wonky"?
How do I go about in measurement in making a single or a full size blanket in a rectangle shape? Is not the same as doing a square blanket. Right? Any help will be great appreciated.
I have MS on left side 😢 so going to try this😊
Thank you for this tutorial! I’m making this blanket for my granddaughter-in-law for Christmas. Her and my Grandson are from Texas but he is in the Air Force and stationed in Dover, Delaware!! Our new granddaughter is a very cold natured girl, so I’m trying to make warm items for their Christmas gifts this year!! Poor kids, they will either learn to dress in layers, or freeze!! Lol!! We shall see how it goes!!
Thanks again for this lovely pattern,
NORMA COLLINS FROM TEXAS

Thank you for this tutorial!! I’ve been wanting a continuous granny rectangle pattern to follow for gradient yarn cakes. Making my second baby a baby blanket for she/he makes their entrance into the world💕
Sorry but you are going too fast for me. I don't think mine looks right but I'm making it for my new grandson and I don't think he will notice if it's not perfect.
Awesome.... thanks!🥰 Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
Thank you for this lovely change on the granny square Rebekah I look forward to giving it ago 😊Amanda xx💕💖
This is beautiful if often wondered how to make a granny crochet in a rectangle. Thank you for your tutorial.
You’re very welcome ☺️
Love the pattern! Thank you for sharing. I noticed another comment about loops and I have the same question. Are we seeing the wrong thing when you demonstrated the color changes?
Hello, you are very easy to listen to for a person who is just starting out again to crotchet since I was 15 👍 now 61 . How many chains do you think I would need to do my granddaughter a cover for her single bed . Thank you 😊
Are there any written instructions? Do you have anything on Ravelry? Thanks so much for all the help.
Love this video I must have watched it and re-watched it quite a few times and im really pleased with the results of my blanket thank you mind you I bet I will be watching it again when I do my next blanket 😂
Hi Rebekah please get back to me possible today I’m trying to do this pattern why when I turn I and slip stitch it’s always in the same corner
Thank you for sharing this pattern! One quick question- when you slip stitch at the end of the round, do you slip stitch through both loops and then turn or do you only do the back loop and then turn? On the first color it appeared to be the back loop only, but on the color change when you closed the end, before the turn, you said both loops. Just want to make sure that I get it right from the start. Thank you!
Beautiful! I live for your tutorials and your extra channel! 😊
Thanks so much! 🌸
Hi love the rectangle blanket would you put a border on and if so which one? Thank you
Again, very nice, and thank you, again. Love your videos...always learning.

Can you please reply does that mean if I do a chain of 18 I gave to add 2 or 3
I would enjoy a written description
How many chains for a lap blaknet
I must mumpital 3 for king size bed
Thanks so much. Love the granny rectangle but didn't know how to start it. 🙂❤❤❤❤😍
You’re very welcome 🌸
Thank you for another great tutorial, I needed to learn the rectangle granny for when I make a new throw for my sofa xx
Great tutorial but I was curious of what to do with the loop after the slip stitch when the gray color ended. I thought she was going to take the pink yarn through the gray loop and then continue that way. I have crocheted over strings to have them but that loop is there and it was just a loop from a slip stitch, it wasn’t tighten or tied off. Just curious.
I would normally tie off and sew in my end and then continue with the new colour, but for the tutorial I just left the loop so that I didn’t have to cut my yarn (as I reused this yarn for another project ☺️) Hope that makes sense! 🌸
Great job ,thank you 🌹
Can I turn your pattern into a shrug?
This is really neat. I have never seen a rectangle granny before.
Love this great teacher and dedign
