      Totally disgaree. Vulture is barely a villain. He never intentionally kills someone. While he's kind of forced into criminal activity by governments taking away his livelihood. He even protects Spidey's identity from Scorpion. He is basically a flawed anti-hero. He's debatably less of a villain than Captain America is in Civil War.
      He's part of why Homecoming is such a total failure of a film (though far from it's biggest problem). He's a big part why the film completely lacks any stakes.

    The interesting thing about Mysterio's return is that they don't even have to undo his death to achieve it. Quentin Beck can stay dead, with any one of his little gang, most likely the scientist from Ironman 1, can use the technology to bring Mysterio back anyway. They have the illusions, they have the resources to do it. Even hiring Jake Gyllenhaal again would make sense because it could just be an illusion of Quentin Beck over top of whoever takes on the role of Mysterio. This lets Marvel sidestep the annoying cliche of the character still being alive, and also means Jake Gyllenhaal would really get to flex his acting as he would need to pretend to be someone pretending to be Quentin Beck, pretending to be Mysterio. So many layers haha.

      They were able to fake the physical appearance and voice of Fury and MJ in a 3d space, in real time. I'm sure his lackeys could have whipped up some 2d footage to "leak" after Beck died. That, or Beck just had that pre-recorded at any point before the final fight scene between them when he realized he needed to fall back on a "plan-B"
      I feel like bringing Beck back from the dead would be a disservice to the version of the Mysterio they created in this film. He's not an adopted alien demi-god, he's not a high level super-secret agent, and he's not really a superhero from an alternate/parallel reality, so bringing him back with yet another faked death in this cinematic universe is just going to be contrived, predictable, and a huge missed opportunity to do something even better...
      Bringing Mysterio back by faking Beck's survival instead.
      It's perfect for the character the way he was set up, he can make a triumphant "heroic/biblical" return in the eyes of the masses or something, maybe divide them, and really torment Peter - being the only one to really know he's dead and forcing him to question everything. The weight of his death isn't lifted so it doesn't take anything away from the story - it only adds, and he band of ex-Stark employees can easily keep carrying Mysterio's torch without Beck.

    Nice to see some appreciation for this movie. When people say that MCU Spidey movies are 'too fun' and don't depress us like a Nolan movie, it evokes two reactions from me:
    1. I totally understand that people might have a problem. But in real world, there are people who make fun of serious stuff like Anthony Jeselnik.
    2. There are 60 years of comic stories and not all of them are emotional tearjerkers.
    But I do hope that the third movie should head to 'mature' territory. I think Marvel is going for that with Spiderman 3

    • @nat15ify

      @amanshukla6122 4 года назад +34

      Yes you can. But what kills me is when people say that 'fun' movies like MCU Spidey movies shouldn't matter. I didn't mind that the everyman perspective of the Snap was shown in a humorous way. That's the reason I brought up Anthony Jeselnik. People forget that the MCU is an ever expanding universe, so Far from Home won't be the only time we hear of the consequences of the Snap. Plus Infinity War and Endgame were emotional roller coasters, Spiderman Far from Home is a high school dramedy so it's not necessary for it to be depressing.

      aman shukla it wouldn’t make sense for a Spider-Man to be like a Batman movie, different tone, I love my dark and serious movies, but I need the lighter ones to balance it out, serious doesn’t always mean better, Batman vs superman tried that and failed

      Water Sheep HiTop always regard Raimi trilogy as the best Spider-man trilogy (even the best superhero trilogy) but there’s 3 plot points that bug me.
      1. Peter relationship with MJ is so toxic. Not to mention in Spider-man 2, HiTop so-called best superhero movie ever (for me it’s the Dark Knight), MJ abandoned her fiance during the wedding to go back to Peter. That’s not how relationship works! MCU version of this relationship is somehow more believable and MJ is not damsel in distress all the time like Raimi’s one,
      2. Peter made a homophobic joke to his opponent during cage fight.
      3. Everyone is awful to Peter in Spider-man 2. You can make a compelling story about a hero at his lowest point without having all supporting characters being terrible people, look at Daredevil season 3.

    • @lordzenkai2004

      @@nont18411 1. Your first point I understand I actually forgot about, but yeah I didn't like that part of the movie it really didn't make sense.
      2. It was a joke, how is it a problem? It also isn't a plot point and it's just meant to be satire so grow a fucking spine.
      3. The point of Spider-Man is that his life is supposed to go downhill, he sacrifices his happiness to keep everyone else happy, that's the point of the movie, it's what the MCU Spider-Man doesn't get.

    • @thedarkfrost2351
      @thedarkfrost2351 4 года назад +4

      Nirawit Karnjanasomwong wait lmao did you just say that “HiTop always refused Raimi trilogy as the best Spider-man trilogy” it’s deadass the ONLY SPIDER-MAN TRILOGY 😂😂. Now to wreck your “plot points”, most of which aren’t even plot points.
      1. Peter doesn’t HAVE a relationship with MJ until around halfway through the second movie, she leaves John at the alter yeah, but that’s not something insane, she comes full circle, she grows as a character. In Spider-Man 1 she’s the damsel in distress, in the second movie she has grown, she is independent, she even try’s to knock Otto out, she yells at him, all that. Spider-Man 3 was supposed to be someone else as the “damsel” but yes, she has no growth. I like MJ in this movie fine, but she’s nowhere near the characters that grows in the first two movies. Hell, if you take MJ from Spider-Man 1 and compare her growth to MJ in the MCU in two movies, MJ from Spider-Man 1 has more growth. If you focus on one thing for a character of course they’ll feel less realistic.
      2. It’s a joke, a throw away line, and I was always interpreted it as Peter saying he looked like a girl since he had long hair but that’s besides the point. How does a throwaway line affect the plot? I’ll answer it for you, it doesn’t, so why do you say it is a plot point? Do you not understand what a plot is?
      3. People are awful to Peter in Spider-Man 2 because it’s the most efficient way to show that Peters life is shit. You cite Daredevil season 3 as something that did this but Spider-Man 2 is less than three hours. That’s 3 episodes of Daredevil season 3, they have time to delve into that and do it well. If they did it differently then it wouldn’t have worked as well and the movie would’ve suffered. Just because there’s more ways to do something doesn’t mean that the way one movie did something is wrong, and thinking that is childish, a lot like your comment.

    That said, I'd buy first half of the movie Mysterio as a hero, too. It might've been so interesting and completely unexpected deperture in a different direction for Marvel, that I was willing to suspend my disbelief for this movie.
    I can even imagine an arc, that would've complete his arc intl a villainy or at least antagonistic role. Powerful, charismatic figure, suffering from loss and burn out, only able to see other people, as worthy to open up to, if they are exceptional in some way. Selfless to destructiveness. Emotionally shut in, burned out crusader, eventually lost to apathy and nihilism. All the power and no desire to take responsibility for his actions... anymore. A Dark Mirror to Spider-man's life and career.
    It never wouldn't have been a faithful interpretation of Mysterio's character and mythos, but it tells you just how much about effort and care they put into his heroic persona.

    My guess for third season of Sherlock was that, Moriarti was playing against him from behind the grave. After the second season and basically turning the show into deduction logic superhero universe, the idea of fighting a complex self-adapting _plan,_ with tons of moving parts and pawns left behind by a genious madman, delievered was not out of the realm of possibility in my mind (I read Asimov's _Foundation_ series at the time). And it would've realized this idea of Moriarty as a cunning mastermind, who creates crimes and plans for others to commit for him and written right into the annals of Villain Pub history... but alas.
    All sprinkled with audio messages, videos and imagjnary conversations with Moriartu in Sherlock's mind. A virus, that makes him doubt his every action and overthink his every action, a tool to solve Moriarty's master plan and show us those two actor's brilliance... but alas.
    Maybe adding a few good top notch villains to works as physical performers of Moriarty's will, obstacles and milestonds for Sherlock to overcome. Maybe also cool actors, people, who'd think they all figured this out, but ending up mere pawns. My assumption going into season 3 was basically that... but alas.

    I haven’t seen Nightcrawler. I must now. Enemy was very trippy and I find Jake GillenHaWll to be one of our best living actors. FFH was so good. Great video Full Fat, no skim here.

    Imagine the possibilities if Jake acting as Mysterio gets his hands on the Reality Stone.

    I can’t see mysterio coming back. I feel like it ruins his win in the end. The fact that he still wins in death is very strong and keeping him alive seems cheap.

    • @kevinw712
      @kevinw712 4 года назад +3

      There's no saying that he can still have lived but is letting the public at large continue to believe he's dead to serve his larger purposes, at least for a good while before he'd decide to reveal himself.
      In fact, I think exactly the opposite could be more powerful. Consider this - Mysterio's whole alpha mantra is "I'm such a genius, and have such command over this technology I'm using, I can make anyone believe precisely what I want them to". The main story ends with Pete believing he rose to his greatest challenge yet and defeated this villain. Then comes the video's release in the stinger outing Pete not just as Spiderman but as a villain. Cut to however much later (whether it's a part of Spiderman 3, or something else) and maybe Beck purposely reveals himself to Pete and only Pete as being alive. He'd probably then want to try and spread that information, but only makes himself look worse and unhinged like some conspiracy theorist. That sounds like Beck surviving and enjoying a hell of a "win" to me.

    I mean, when you really break it down, there's a lot of evidence for why Mysterio isn't really dead. First of all, he makes it clear that he has backup plans upon backup plans for this final showdown in London and can put them into play in an instant. Second, and most important, we never actually SEE a bullet wound on Beck after the drone shoots him. Sure, we see the shot and the impact, but after all the illusions we've seen him create, something like that would be cake. And you'll notice from that moment on, we never see the wound. Initially he (or rather, his illusion) is covering it with his hand, then when we see the real Beck try to shoot Peter, we only see him from behind. So what does he do when that doesn't work? He goes with the fake injury and falls in juuuuuust the right way that completely covers up that part of his body. And here's the real key; when Peter wants to know if he's dead, he asks EDITH "Is this real? Is he...?" to which she replies "No illusions remain." But we've seen previously that EDITH is very particular with how commands need to be phrased, and Peter only fully finished asking one question: Is this real? So, EDITH could run a scan and confirm no illusions remained. But Peter never asked "Is he dead?" so EDITH wouldn't know to run a life signs scan. So, there is no actual REAL confirmation that Beck is dead.
    And last but not least, we have the next movie in the series, No Way Home. So far, it's been pretty well confirmed that we're getting some version of the Sinister Six, and from the trailer, I'm fairly confident in saying that we'll get the following: Lizard, Electro, Sandman, Doctor Octopus, and Green Goblin. But that's only five, so who, oh who, could our mysterious fifth member be? Someone who faked his own death and ruined Peter's life and now is coming back to finish the job with a little help? We'll see...

    I love how every MV in the MCU spider trilogy have a sorta green color scheme. Vulture with the green eyes and suit, Mysterio with the green shirt and pants and the green colors of the triangle effects, and with the new movie with Green Goblin, who is called green in the name and design. Wonder if they’ll do a new color for the next movie, maybe purple.
