Thank you so much from this Canadian gal. I've fallen in love with this beanie. I am crocheting for the NICUs for hospitals in the Province of Alberta in western Canada. There are 1300 crocheters & knitters belong to an organization & we are making blanket sets with matching beanies for the preemie babies. I definitely will be making lots of these to go with my blankets plus I'll be making extras for the NICUs.....thank again
Best video. Perfect yarn to see stitches, perfect view of stitches and nothing was blocked. No dialog making the video 50 times longer and complete with a written pattern. Very pretty and warm hat which newborns need!! Thank you.
Thank you so very much! What a beautiful tutorial! I followed along so easily. This is my new favourite pattern! Does it come in adult sizes? 🥰 This was perfect! Thank you again!
Probably not. This size will work for newborns for their coming home outfit or newborn photos, but baby will outgrow it quickly. You could use a bigger hook or add another round of increases to make it bigger.
I did row 4 over & over again because I was coming up with too many stitches. So I slowed the video down & no wonder I was adding too many stitches & now mine is perfect
If there are 20 stitches in round 2 and you add 1 single and 2 dc around the 20 stitches shouldn't you end up with 50 stitches in the round 3? The video says round 3 stitch count 30 but I can't figure out how that is possible.

Thank you so much I just made this in an hour!!! I hate hats but this one was simple and fast
Made this today. Great video, very easy to follow. Thank you!
Nice pattern! I changed to start Row 1 with 12DC; so I end up with 48 stitches. This just works well for project I'm working on now.
Very Pretty hat thank you 🙏 ❤️
Thank you for this nice lesson . Very easy and clear . May god bless you .
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial 🤗 I just finished making this in between my finals ☺️

This was perfect! Thank you again!
do i need to add stitches by the pattern?
Thank you for the tutorial!!
I am getting 50 plus stiches in round 4. Pls help
Thank you!
Beautiful ❤️
Is this an alpine stitch you use in this tutorial?
Almost. Alpine stitch has rows of single crochet stitches in between the rows of texture.
Is there a chance of baby mittens to go with this hat?
I don't have a pattern for baby mittens. :(
Is this good for 0-3 months? I want it to last a bit
Probably not. This size will work for newborns for their coming home outfit or newborn photos, but baby will outgrow it quickly. You could use a bigger hook or add another round of increases to make it bigger.
Rows 7-11, do you do a Ch 2 at beginning of each round like the other rounds?
Yes!
Actually in RND 11 I do a CH 1 instead because the HDC are smaller.
I do not understand how you get 40 stitches on Round 4. Can you explain it for me? Thanks!!!
I did row 4 over & over again because I was coming up with too many stitches. So I slowed the video down & no wonder I was adding too many stitches & now mine is perfect
I did row 4 over and over … I can only get 39 st 🤷🏻♀️😅
Me too I quit because I am not getting it

On Round 3 you increase every other stitch. You end up adding 10 more from Round 2. Hope that helps!
I failed this in round 4 am ending up with 50 instead of 40 stitches
i just stop my project. 😑
Me too
