    Thanks for the review buddy! 🎉. I’ve had my eye on the 2S for some time now cause I like the thought of being able to add on even bigger sealed subs in the future.
    But what I’m really trying to find is a sealed solution that performs at infrasonic levels but still “musical/tight” bass. I’m guessing I’ll have to go with a couple 14”-16” sealed subs and one super sub like an 18”-“24*I wish).
    Any way, I’m curious if 2 of the 2S subs would do the trick or do you think go with the 2V and run sealed if needed?? Kinda seems like best of both worlds if you get the 2V and run them ported until future funds are available? Yeah?
    Ps. The port of these in the back and each sub faces sideways, I noticed in your video, the subs faced front to back? Did you move them for testing? 🎉

    • @SpecOfTech
      @SpecOfTech  6 месяцев назад

      I did move them for testing. I had to have a driver showing so I could film it. I go over that in the video also.
      I would go with 2 of the 2V and run them in sealed mode...cheers.

    • @AT-wl9yq
      @AT-wl9yq 6 месяцев назад

      Infrasonic are frequencies below 20hz. Not sure why you would want something like that. I'm not saying you're wrong, I just don't see why you would want it.
      Either way, for musically tight bass, the most important spec to consider is Q. Low Q is cleaner & faster, and works best for music. Higher Q subs are less controlled and have more of a home theater sound to them. Some subs have adjustable Q. In my opinion, adjustable Q is the best way to go because it gives you the most tuning options.
      I don't like telling people what to do, but I would highly recommend you don't buy based on driver size. There are too many variables involved. The overall design of the sub is far more important.

    • @SpecOfTech
      @SpecOfTech  6 месяцев назад +3

      I'd have to check my room measurements to confirm this, but I'm quite certain the CAP2400 has more output. I can't say there is a noticeable difference in their sound quality. At least nothing that I heard. JTR subwoofers really are the HT kings. Their output is hard to beat for their price.

    • @RobZelinka
      @RobZelinka 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@SpecOfTech I suspect you’re right about JTR having more output. I would submit that what Ascendo is doing will rival what JTR is doing, of course we are talking about different price ranges here and a completely different approach altogether

      JTR being a better sub doesn’t make the Arendal a bad sub. Your logic is seriously flawed.
      Does this mean that nobody should buy a JTR, because Ascendo makes 32”, 50”, and 80” subs that outperform them?

  • @eliashabash7591
    @eliashabash7591 6 месяцев назад +1

    Where was the comparisons to other subs in this price range. I dont need a full blown comparison video but you have to at least mention other subs.
    I expect every sub in this price range to have good performance. But it means nothing really without a reference
    How about conpare it to the Rythmik FV25hp
    If the Rythmik has more output at all frequencies and SQ is better at the same price.. what does this sub have going for it that you say “this is why you buy this sub”
    Think of it like reviewing a 100k sport lexus.
    Yes the lexus is nice. It better be for the price. But it enters more competition and if the lower end Porsches are flat out better then the lexus is no longer “good”
    Thats what i look for in reviews
    Price is everything and we need a comparative reference

    • @brucecarter6205
      @brucecarter6205 6 месяцев назад

      Not fair. The review is solid, even with out mention of price and comparisons to other subs. Maybe that will come in a future video.

      @@shaolin95 You know what is a read flag of a sponsored review? When I mark it as a sponsored review and tell you it's sponsored. This is what I would do if the review was sponsored. You're entitled to your false assumptions though 😉.
      I find it funny that you make that assumption if I don't compare the subwoofer to the subwoofer you wanted me to compare it to.
