These subs from Arendale are great. I have the 1723 2S in a 12'x12' room and it shakes the entire room and some, can't be happier. Thanks for sharing 👍 👍.
Great review as always! Please do make a video comparing the Arendal to the Tonewinner. I think it would be a great comparison. Keep up the good work buddy!
Looking forward to your comparison video between 2V and D6000. Really curious if 2V is a lot more cleaner sounding of the two and by how much, distortion wise.
I will never put that concert captivator speaker in a room , it’s look’s ugly. Arendal looks very sharp and clean . The base is cleaner , it’s not boomy like those eBay subwoofers .
I usually don't listen at excessive volumes, I value my hearing too much. On my AVM90 I'm usually somewhere around -24 db, but it really depends on how hot the source signal is.
@@SpecOfTech okay I'm usually between - 35 to - 25 on my Onkyo RZ-50... And that deoends on the time of day and quality of content. I can't understand how folks listen at reference 😮
I'd have to check my room measurements to confirm this, but I'm quite certain the CAP2400 has more output. I can't say there is a noticeable difference in their sound quality. At least nothing that I heard. JTR subwoofers really are the HT kings. Their output is hard to beat for their price.
@@SpecOfTech I suspect you’re right about JTR having more output. I would submit that what Ascendo is doing will rival what JTR is doing, of course we are talking about different price ranges here and a completely different approach altogether
Reiterating my earlier note about data down to 5hz. Thank you sir. It's way more useful than any Cea burst test that is done outside, by other reviewers... Way better to see in room infrasonic data with interaction of room gain.
Greetings from Spain, I have been impressed with your legacy audio. I have Arenal 1723. You could review them and if I wanted to get a much better system, would I notice a big difference if I switched to legacy audio? and invest the big price difference?
There is a noticeable difference in sound quality and clarity between the 1723 and Legacy speakers. So, yes, you would notice an improvement. I can't answer whether or not that difference would be worth it for you personally though, everyone is different.

Thanks for the review buddy! 🎉. I’ve had my eye on the 2S for some time now cause I like the thought of being able to add on even bigger sealed subs in the future. But what I’m really trying to find is a sealed solution that performs at infrasonic levels but still “musical/tight” bass. I’m guessing I’ll have to go with a couple 14”-16” sealed subs and one super sub like an 18”-“24*I wish). Any way, I’m curious if 2 of the 2S subs would do the trick or do you think go with the 2V and run sealed if needed?? Kinda seems like best of both worlds if you get the 2V and run them ported until future funds are available? Yeah? Ps. The port of these in the back and each sub faces sideways, I noticed in your video, the subs faced front to back? Did you move them for testing? 🎉
I did move them for testing. I had to have a driver showing so I could film it. I go over that in the video also. I would go with 2 of the 2V and run them in sealed mode...cheers.
Infrasonic are frequencies below 20hz. Not sure why you would want something like that. I'm not saying you're wrong, I just don't see why you would want it. Either way, for musically tight bass, the most important spec to consider is Q. Low Q is cleaner & faster, and works best for music. Higher Q subs are less controlled and have more of a home theater sound to them. Some subs have adjustable Q. In my opinion, adjustable Q is the best way to go because it gives you the most tuning options. I don't like telling people what to do, but I would highly recommend you don't buy based on driver size. There are too many variables involved. The overall design of the sub is far more important.
I would have liked to review the PSA subwoofers, but Tom doesn't like having his products reviewed. As a matter of fact, given my past interactions with him, he hates reviewers. I wish he would change it outlook, because his customers would love to see more reviews of his products.
Great video! Looks like a killer sub! watching, and you're description makes me want to get 2 in in my new 580 sq ft apartment! But, I don't need the SWAT team showing up at my door. Maybe 4 bass shakers attached to my Lazy Boy recliner would be a better option!🤣😂 keep up the great content!!
Haha, yeah I think a smaller sub with some bass shakers on the chair would be the best option for you in your space. One day when you have the space, we'll get you some huge subs 😉.

JTR being a better sub doesn’t make the Arendal a bad sub. Your logic is seriously flawed. Does this mean that nobody should buy a JTR, because Ascendo makes 32”, 50”, and 80” subs that outperform them?
