I have been searching for OEM-type side rails for a naked RDX roof. The link provided does not seem to work any longer. Any other suggestions on where to find similar rails. The video was very helpful. Thank you.
Hi David. Yes that eBay store doesn’t seem to sell that rack anymore. Searched the web and found one on Amazon. www.amazon.com/HONDA-Acura-2012-2017-Baggage-luggage/dp/B01HHYXQXO Just verify that it fits your car. Fyi, I am not a reseller - just helped my friend install that rack on his car.

When you installed the second side did you find the proper way to remove the rear piece of plastic that is in the channel and goes under the tailgate - that is, the one you broke in the video?
Yes, and I didn't even break the first one :) There is a clip that you push to the side with a long screwdriver. That will free-up the plastic cover and allow it to slide back. Good luck!

How did you remove the purple piece off of the rail clip?
They just snap on, so carefully pry it off with a screwdriver

Yes, as far as I know you would always need to cut the bars to install the roof rack. Good luck!

Unfortunately the Piper doesn't have the instructions anymore. We covered all the steps in a pretty good detail. Try to follow our directions.
