@@myrlaparungao7344 hey man, it's kind of similar. Removing the two trims, 2 covers on the rears and reuse it for installation. The two long trims need to be cut front portion and reused for installation about 17" or 27", not exactly which one on top my mind, but it's easy to figure, you can kind of pre-measure before cutting when having the rails on temporarily. Measure the trim, so it tuck under the rail slightly, so the rail cover over the trim. Hope that helps man.
Love it. Where did you buy them and how much for both sides? Thank you so much. I just got 2017 mdx but its top looks little weird so.....need like your.
It’s a OEM accessory parts. You can get it from a local Acura dealer or go online look for this part# 08L02-TZ5-201 which is roof rails for 2017-2020 Acura MDX
I appreciate you showing us how to install but you have no respect for others people property you just threw the rails on top of the roof without even being worried about scratching I would be pissed. Also you’re tossing around the rails they are very expensive for you to just scratch them
I like how easy you make this installation to look like. It is easy, so easy I'm going to buy the racks and DIM. That's right, I'm going to do it myself. By the way, what is the name of the rail that goes across over the roof? Also, can I buy all the racks as one package or did u purchased them individually?
Hi Ron; it is slightly different; the one on the MDX,; after remove the roof trim. You have to cut and retain part of the trim- the front part, like 17.5in or so; then the installation is similar, bolt on and clip on
Thanks for posting, it sure help, i have been thinking for my 2021 RDX, so, no cutting needed, is it fit just right in. Question, do you bought the OEM from Acura? Overall, thanks for sharing.
Hello Simon! I dint have access to get the accurate specs at the moment. It is Somewhere between 9-12 lb-ft acura.bernardiparts.com/Images/Install/2019_RDX_RoofRails_BII07802-06.pdf
Nuj Alli Hi Nuj. You’re right, I didn’t get the crossbar install part. It is very straight forward after the rail installed. Pull off the rubber plugs on the rails, back out the crossbar bolts, line up with the holes and torque the bolts down. Pretty much it
Wow the way you guys lay your tools all over the roof of that RDX, will be sure to never get anywhere near your shop/garage 🤣😂🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the video! Dealer asked $400 for the installation!!!! Just gonna do it myself
Thanks Tolga for a kind comment. I’m glad the video is helpful. It’s pretty straight forward to do it. You can do it. Great to connect with you 🙌👍
Mine wanted $900! I'm so glad I found this video to do it myself also!
Appreciate the video. Might be worth putting some towels down the way your throwing the tools on the glass moon roof.
Thank you for your advise brotha! I’ll take note of that . Great to connect with you 🙌🙌💪
I was going to make the same comment 👍🏼
Me too. Suggest to have towel on car keeping hard tools. Please don’t throw you should return to client in good conditions. Good information.

I installed my roof rail and super easy, anybody can do it. Just had to buy a t30 TORX bit for $4 at home depot .
However..the cost of the rail is just insanely overpriced lol. Didn't want ugly Thule clamps to use a crossbar tho
Congratulations doing it yourself. Good to connect with you idubbz 🙌
I bought Bosch 2 pack on Amazon for $3.99
What is the recommended FT/LBS on the T30 screws?
Hi Justin. The one I did was 9 lb-ft (12N-m). It should be similar. Good to see and connect with you here brother👍🙌

Yes,. it is easy to install it. You can get the rood rail and crossbar as a package.
Would the 2019 MDX aspec model be the same installation?

@@huunwheels7378 awesome! Thank you so much. I will go ahead and purchase the rails and cross bars.
Maybe use something to protect the customers roof from your tools? Other than that good job! lol
Thanks brother. I’ll take note of that 😀👍🙌
Are these all plastic? How sturdy are they?
Hi DK, The roof trims are not plastic. It’s bent easily

Sorry, but I only got sea sick. Could hardly her what you said. Why not just put the camera away on something and then talk and show what you do.
Thanks for your advise, Bosis! I’ll take note of that. Great to connect with you 🙌🙌
Oh man. Please don't work on my car. You scratching the roof paint 🤦♂️. Thanks for the guidance tho. But be careful with the paint and sunroof glass.
