if people regularly prolonged fasted 50% of doctors would be out of a job. that's a fact and it's why medical schools and industry have censored any discussion on the topic
I haven't yet watched this video but I'd like to say: after a year of sometimes excruciating pain - just unbearable at times - I got 6 weeks complete relief by fasting for just 4 days. Now, it's back so I think I'm going to try a longer fast. Horrible but necessary.
@@yasar2mohd259 I did a straight four day and I broke the fast with some bone broth in the morning, and ate a normal, light meal later in the day. All was fine. No poop for four days, which was a real help!
You know what man. The world is lucky to have people like you taking the time to do this. Keep doing this stuff it will definitely help people beyond what you do in your day to day treatment of patients. And also your video content editing etc etc will get so good over time. I honestly found this the least scary video on the subject and I’ve got a chronic anal fissure or so I’m told that’s what is most likely. They want to do proctoscopy in UK on me. I’m too scared but watching videos like this and your channel is the first step to breaking down the fear barrier. So thank you so much. I will be watching your other fissure content shortly.
I would say that from my experience Yes fasting is great for hemorrhoids Passing stool causes the bleeding and wound When you fast, you also don't poop Poop is food from 24-36 hours ago So if you stop eating you will also stop pooping Caffeine is also really bad for hemorrhoids and I would highly recommend to not drink any 24 hours of fasting won't do much You need to do a minimum of a 48 hour fast to see relief Not only that, when you fast the body enables autophagy This is where cells recycle waste or non-essential material and your body can self heal cancers and all sorts of issues If you research and study autophagy it's actually insane how powerful it is and healthy it is for the body So autophagy really only starts after 24 full hours of a water fast and it peaks around 48 hours I would challenge anyone who is suffering to try a 48 hour water only fast and I pretty much guarantee you would see major relief Nothing else has ever worked or helped me Creams, ointments, suppositories are all useless in my experience The hemorrhoid can heal and retract if you stop eating
I wish we had more doctors like you really listening the patient and probably loving their job. Not only doing for money but to help people. Thank you so much doctor ❤
Fasting creates stem cells and activates autophagy, two things which will greatly help the healing process. Fasting for 36-42 hours then going back onto a liquid focused diet, soups and broth and the like, to give your gut a break and your bum a break, while taking a probiotic once a week to keep your gut bacteria health up. Doing 2/5 like that, 2 days of fasting 5 days of a liquid diet, taking pain meds to manage your symptoms and keeping yourself clean is the only way to heal an anal fissure that won't go away on its own. But this would be a lifestyle change, after the fissue has healed you'd need to change your diet completely and stick to it.
Did you manage to heal a fissure this way? And if yes, was it a chronic fisssure, did you also had a skin tag? I fasted for 4 days with vegetable juice and was feeling better, than I eat and after the 3rd day of eating I had again pain form the fisure. I getting discouraged by this... Maybe I should have fasted longer and eat soups after.
The medical community doesn’t help, I’ve got a drawer full of ointments, suffering 3 years with this. It’s really beside the point how it got that way. Day 7 of 10 day fast. No pain for 6 days.
I think that the notion of fasting to heal all manner of physical problems is magical thinking, hell might as well try to pray away my hemorrhoids @@mirianadimitrova2112
My fissurectomy was still spasming 4 months post op, then Ramadan came and I fasted the Holy month and now I don't have those violent spasms anymore , I think it's a good idea.
@SamEltahan yes it did work, I'm one year post op and it took 10 months for the spasm to calm down. My advice to you as a person who developed a fistula after lis, and then had to undergo fissurectomy and fistulectomy, is be very patient and opt out of surgery, these things take time to heal, but they do eventually.
Thank you, I know they botched me from the first surgery. So, although I'm in constant pain 3 months post surgery, ill wait. This time if I choose another surgery, they'd probably damage my intestines that I'd require a stoma.
It's the middle of Jan 2024 and for the first ever, at age 68, I developed grade 4 prolapsed hemorrhoids. I never had any visual signs of hemorrhoids prior to this, and did it to myself with pure ignorance. I had heard about the carnivore diet and decided to try it. Meat, eggs, salt, maybe a glass or less of milk, that's about it. Some days I didn't even have any water to go with this. After 7 days, my body's need for water had sucked every drop of moisture from my stool, and I had a LOT of rock-hard poop blocked at the anus. Out of panic/extreme pain/desperation I sat on the commode for 5 hours straight using my fingernail to slowly scrap away at the seemingly never-ending brick. Afterwards, using my phone camera I compared what I saw, with shock, to be obvious grade 4 prolapsed hemorrhoids. I can't believe the damage I've done to myself with the constant strain on the toilet for 5 hours! For 4 days straight now I've been in constant pain, almost entirely unable to get out of bed, and no visual change of my now monkey-butt. I've water-fasted before without issues, so I am now on my 1st day of water-fasting, to try to give these angry big foreign devils time to heal. I hope, I really really hope that this all works out, somehow.
Yes, for me the 3 day water fast helped significantly. 2 and a half to 3 liters of water, plus pink salt for electrolytes, plus multivitamins and b vitamins. Much easier to do than I thought, plus giving time to heal, ( 3 days plus another 2 days before I needed to poop again). Very, very important to start eating again SLOWLY, with small meals for several days, things shrank up enough that I had no problems and still continue to improve. For anyone interested in a 3 day fast, make sure to watch dr. Berg videos on fasting and re-feeding.
@@archonofvoidabsolutely…we need water. Dr Chaffee explained his energy comes from 2 gallons! But he also explains about upping your fat to even 80% of needed. I noticed it works. I think we can all get where we are going in more ways than one…but I do enjoy the NO gas at ALL life on carni.
I think your such an understanding and amazing, lovely Doctor/consultant/colorectal surgeon…..I wish I was under your care instead of being in England but we do have great Colorectal surgeons here though
11 days ago I had a hemorrhoidectomy which removed seven type three and type four Hemorrhoids. I stopped eating two days before the surgery and I took two doses of laxatives up to the night before surgery . Then I did three enemas as requested by the nurse the day of the surgery! I felt I was very trim and cleared out! But when I woke up from the surgery I realized there was clearly no way I was going to be eating for the next several days or even longer because of the extreme level of pain post surgery! I was on pain medication around the clock, also constantly in the scalding bath (the only non-drug remedy for the pain!) and I didn’t eat again until day six post-op. I was just starting to feel a little better when I thought it was safe to eat but that was my mistake! I had my first bowel movement DAY6 and now I’m back on a fast and this time with high motivation because the pain isn’t just unbelievable, it’s in the realm of agony. I honestly believed that 11 days after my surgery I could be functioning normally but I am very shocked and surprised to say that ain’t so! If you happen to work or have a life you can forget about it for a few weeks after the surgery! I’m glad I did it because it was necessary but I pray to God I will never have to undergo this ordeal again. Also I must say people - friends and family- , will say ‘well you should be over it by now!’ However, the extremity of the pain just getting started right when you think it should be over! People don’t understand. How could they? Pain is personal, no one feels it with you. I’m glad I did it but I have to say, I thought it would be behind me by now (no pun intended!) but there’s still a lot of pain and disruption to my life ahead of me the next few weeks! Just a fact.
@@tinavieira9012 hi Tina!! I’m at 14 days now and improving a little every day! But I still need to treat the pain with something strong or it’s three hours of pain after a bathroom break, and then straight into bed! I’m still in the bath ten times throughout he day. The pain wakes me up in the nighttime and I have to get up twice in the night for a hot bath. The fluid from the wounds really burns and also makes a mess. Good luck and here’s to solidarity! No one could possibly understand who hasn’t gone through this ! I understand now that recovery is a very serious business indeed!
Hey Dr Albert, I would really LOVE to see alot more videos on this particular subject. I am very familiar with this topic personally😒. My problem wasn't hemorrhoids or fissures, it was Pelvic Organ Prolapse. I had surgery 2 years ago to repair some of it but need more surgery to repair the bladder. But during the period I have suffered with this, I became like opposite of 'Pavlov's dog', I guess, where I 'learned' that eating nothing would make dealing with this problem much easier. So here I am 2 years post op but I still have issues and a tremendous amount of fear about food because of what happened in 2020. I started out that year overweight at 252 lbs and today I weigh 148. Yes you read that correctly. To most people who see me for the first time since all of this happened, they think I look good but the truth is I am so anemic and nutritionally deficient that I'm now losing muscle mass and hair. I literally live on vitamins and bone broth and this is no way to live, let me tell ya. I hope to get to where I can eat a real meal again but I think this has morphed into being about fear now than the actual problems going to the potty. The surgery caused alot of problems afterwards that haven't helped me, psychologically. I now suffer from pelvic floor dyssynergia and I never had any of these issues before surgery. Anyway, just letting people know that developing a fear of food bc of bowel problems (or anus problems, bc I have trouble there too)can be extremely dangerous if it goes on for a long time without being addressed. Thank you for your videos. Up to now, I really had no one to listen to that made me feel a little better about all of this. I actually have begun to eat a little bit more and maybe with time, I won't be so afraid. There are other 'digestive system' issues at play that certainly added to this problem so it wasn't ALL about the p.o.p. but it certainly was the 'end' result of not taking good care of my colon, no pun intended...lol
I fasted 2 days before my hemorrhoidectomy, the day of my surgery, and the day after my surgery. I have had pretty much no pain, but I have been taking pain killers just in case. I don't plan to resume eating solid foods until my weight reaches my goal weight, which should be in about 5 more days. After that, I will start with bone broth and foods like avocados, eggs, and pork fat. I'm loving the no pain!
My discipline 1 nu. a day, and once in while fasting with a day no nu 2. Really helps. Big problem is a week or two when you think you are healed. Fissure keeps coming back. I’m so exhausted. Dont want the surgery. Friendly tip keep it DRY.
Glad you covered this, Doctor! I have fasted, not by choice, when I had influenza and rectal bleeding; I couldn't keep food down anyway. Fasted for 2 weeks. I found out, though, that going back to eating is a delicate process. You can end up with a lot of diarrhea and/or constipation if you don't do it right. Fasting made many improvements in my health and made me aware of the poor choices I was making. A year later I decided to repeat the fast, but only for 8 days. I had the same health improvements as after the illness. In many cultures fasting is a part of religious observances, and people navigate these periods quite well. Physicians in other countries also prescribe fasting at clinics to improve chronic conditions. This may be something we see in medicine here in the future. You are so wonderfully open-minded in your comments! People are always looking for The Answer, but individuals are so complex. Some people lose hope because the Miracle Cure they tried doesn't work for them. Just hearing you say that everyone's different may encourage them to keep trying and keep hoping for a solution.
I got constipated after fasting and yeah.. I`m at square one again.. even worse than the beginning actually. However, I do intend to try again, because I believe autophagy caused by fasting could help this wound heal.
@@SuperFriday much better. Since then I started using collagen and I accidentally found out it really makes the stool nice and loose. Plus helps you fast for longer and strengthens the connective tissue as a bonus.
@@maoanzu4759 Hi :) I`m using Collagen Peptides by NaturesPlus, but I don`t know it it`s available outside EU. From what I`ve researched it`s better to use hydrolysed collagen containing all collagen types 1 through 6. Also drink lots of water to have a looser stool, because collagen has a hydroscopic molecule. Good luck!
It's not as much about pooping less as it is about triggering the regenerative effects while apatosis cleans up dead cells, deep ketosis brings on amazing effects after 7 to 40 days of water ONLY fasting from what I've seen. The key is also in the re-feeding process which needs to be approached the right way.
@@SPGRAMPA1 Doctor Goldhamer is a great resource to learn some stuff about fasting and its benefits, he's been running a facility called True North medical in California for years and has successfully helped thousands of people get over diseases deemed incurable.

The power of naturally self produced stremcells and aptosis is amazing, the take dedication to activate though.
Dr, I love you but you can do BOTH….You can both recommend it with a caveat of your explaining they must change behavior and diet. You are a true blessing and an absolute joy to be “around.” 🎉❤ We can do the pelvic floor exercises to help our muscles too. 😊 Carnivore saves me from being gassy too and it is a great relief until I learn how much and what kinds of fiber work best for me without putting myself through that trauma of it! 😂❤
Great video. I’ve got from insane and very long pain because of fissure with fasting and fiber diet. But the fissure came back again with revenge. Exactly as you described feeling so defeated. I guess as soon as I’m better I slightly and start to eat half normal and fissure gets back. Somehow I have to engrave in my brain 3 months of very strict diet and gradual normalization to 6-9 months. It’s amazing how fast I forget all those hundreds of hours of pain and suffer!
Hi ! Currently I am suffering from chronic anal fissure. But I am taking homeopathy medicines and sitz bath. It's really working good. Within 4 days, pain is reduced to a lower extend. In homeopathy, reoccurance of the disease is completely prohibited. It will naturally heal your body. If you have a hope in homeopathy, plz try it. Then you will feel the difference. (I am talking from my own experience)
@@sreelathavk4450 No, it gets complicated. I could write for days. Anyhow, Metamucil and MiraLex/Clearlex helped. Discipline, and routine helps. Fasting helps a lot. I can function, I can manage it, but still have bad periods, even though I havent really did anything stupid. It’s been long year, I think, and I hope I can make it symptoms free by the summer.
@@SuperFridayit’s been a while. Fasting is not a solution. It works to the some point. I would recommend only when you are in flare. You have to have a playbook and pretty much adopt your lifestyle to fissure treatment. I did not cure my fissure, it keeps coming back. It’s been almost two years, and for a year it was extremely bad. Now I keep it under control. It’s always there. As soon as I eat inappropriately, I’ve get into problems. Difference now is that I can control it. It is what iit is, and it seems it’ll never heal, but I can live along. What I eat and toilet discipline(no pushing) are 95% of my work. All other products are in my garage(oils, creams..) make no sense to me. Other 5% is Advil. As soon as I feel more pain I start taking Advil after stool. That starting pain is bearable i easy to handle, but the brain starts to narrow and squeeze the exit, and that is a red flag. Be strong, I know when you are in the storm it’s hard, but educate yourself and you can keep it under control. As I said in my case it seems it’ll always be there and wait in ambush. Good luck
Diltiazem Cream helps also suppositories with oxycodone. Then Metamucil two times a day. Stool softeners I’ve gotten away from since I tend to get diarrhea from it with all the fiber I intake. If I eat spicy stuff it makes it worse.
Hi Dr. Chung, What you said makes a lot of sense. Part of living with hemorrhoidal symptoms is becoming obsessed with BM...even dreading it. I can see how fasting makes the problem even worse when one eventually has a BM. I have a lot of questions re: using stool softener (PEG 3350) and fiber/bulk agent (psyllium). How do they work differently? Any harm in long-term use of either or both...? Can they be used together or alternately? etc. Can you do a presentation on this matter? Thank you very much!
Also, ever since my Proctologist recommended I consume A LOT more fiber (which definitely increases my food intake) I am now having 3 or more bowel movements a day which by the 3rd one definitely leaves me in more pain than before Docs orders. Miralax or any stool softener/laxatives ALONE has been a significant help.
I didn’t take my stool softener for two days and didn’t poop and my hemorrhoids stopped bleeding and were less painful. I ate yesterday and I am in so much pain today and bleeding again.
Why is it that pretty much every provider I have seen does not have this same thing where they want to get to the root cause it seems like they just want to slap a Band-Aid on it metaphorically
Fight or flight. I got so afraid that I was barely eating and I was losing weight so fast I still kind of am but I’ve been eating more. I was just thinking about fasting but I’m going to finish watching this video first. I’m already rarely getting 1000 cal a day 2:08
I've had internal hemorrhoids for the last 12 years. It takes me all day to empty myself. It used to only take about 3 to 4 hours when i first got them 12 years ago. But then last year after i came home from my friend's 4th of July barbque, I took a full cap of Miralax and poured it into my fruit-flavored water then drank it, in order to pre-soften the stool because I knew that i'd have trouble getting it out later. But little did i Know that i was taking that Miralax-laced fruit water on an empty stomach, because the food i had eaten earlier at the barbque had already been digested. When I woke up the next morning, my belly had swollen up big time. My clothes went from fitting me, to not fitting me overnight. Now the internal hemorrhoids that i had are made 100 times worse because of this huge bubble or whatever it is in my belly. Now it sometimes takes me 2-3 days to get all the stool out. I try to starve myself, thinking that will help make my belly go down like it used to, but it doesn't. So now i can no longer enjoy eating full meals. Because this ulcer, or tumor or gas bubble or whatever it is takes up almost all the room in my belly, so that i can fit very little food in there. Now all i can do is pick, and snack, and nibble and taste food. i cannot eat full meals anymore. So now i subsist on single slices of lunchmeat and cheese, handfuls of chips, candy, crackers, cookies...just snacks now that's all. I can no longer enjoy eating cheesesteaks, or speghetti and meatballs, or Pizza, or meatloaf and mash potatos, or chicken and rice, or Chinese meals or any of those other delicious meals i used to love eating so much before this bubble formed in my belly. I have had all kinds of tests and procedures done but no doctors can figure out what it is. I've tried taking probiotics for the longest time, but nothing yet. I have to starve myself to try and keep my belly from swelling up. But starving myself no longer does any good hardly. All it really does now is makes my teeth and joints hurt because they get weak from lack of food. I am now living in the 9th circle of hell. I can no longer enjoy holidays because of these two problems i have; my hemorrhoids and this bubble in my belly. And i cannot subject myself to banding, i just cannot do it. And yes, I did watch the video you did about the banding, but it kinda scared me a little. So, I do not know what do it. Sometimes i feel like i wanna hurt myself, because i am so frustrated with the miserable hell my life has become. I take lots of laxatives but have limited success with them. I am never able to fully get all the stool out of myself, so because of that, and this bubble i am dealing with, my belly stays swollen. Still, if i did not have those laxatives then i would be totally lost and not be able to eat anything at all. Got any ideas on what this huge bubble might be doctor? I got a friend that told me you can get ulcers from taking too much Miralax. Because she told me a friend of hers told her this cause she went thru it. But all the tests they have done at the hospital have discovered nothing. And you know what's crazy, it seems sometimes that when i do not eat, my belly swells up even more. So then i will eat something and my belly goes back down a little...for only about 5 minutes or so. Then it swells right back up again. So here i sit in my apartment. I cannot order out for food, i have over $150 in food stamps that i can no longer use to get the things i really want or need anymore. So you know what i do? I buy tons of candy bars, because candy mostly turns to sugar anyway and takes up little to no room in my belly. So thank god i have candy, because if i did not, then i probably would kill myself. And i buy tons of bags of chips, and packs of lunchmeat and cheese. And other little snacks, slim jims...lot of those. Combos, pretezels, little Reese's cups, MnM's, Reese's Pieces. Stuff like that. And these doctors that i go to do not seem to believe me. They check me out, then say, "Oh yes you do have hemorrhoids young man. But that should not keep you from getting the stool out" But i try explaining to them a million times that it does, and what they do not seem to understand, is that the dynamic of what's going on down there totally changes once my bowels are full and are pressing down, then my hemorrhoids naturally become swollen and enlarged cause i have stuff present in my ass that needs to come out...lol. This is something i read on the internet. It's this little write-up i read about internal hemorrhoids- "People with internal hemorrhoids always complain of never having a complete bowel movement. And this is because the anal canal is already narrowed because of the presence of the hemorrhoids. But it is made even worse when they go to defecate and when the person is straining, because the hemorrhoids that are there, are actually pushing outwards, and they push up against the sphincter muscles and form a wall that very little is able to get through." And so i said to myself, that's it! That must be why no matter how much I try to clean myself out with the syringe, ( i give myself dozens of little home-made enemas throughout the day where i fill a syringe up with warm water and squirt it up my rectum to soften the stool from the outside, because i simply cannot get it out any other way) That is what these doctors are not able to figure out. Because they do the digital test first, then put their little scopes in there, and once they feel the hemorrhoids are loose and flimsy, they automatically assume they are not a problem. But what they do not realize is that the hemorrhoids are only that way because I spent all night trying to clean myself out, so the canal will be unobstructed. Plus, my belly and bowels are empty at that point. But naturally whenever i eat, the hemorrhoids swell up because whatever stool is already there, is pushing against those hemorrhoids now, but it strikes me as totally ridiculous that they are not able to figure out this simple fact on their own. And so when they go to give me these tests to try and detect what going on down there, i have tried explaining to every single one of them, to please take a good, long deep look because something is not right in my tummy, or my bowels or my intestines or whatever they are looking at. And i am hoping when they do perform these tests that they try to find little anomalies, or you know...just little things out of place. Or just little signs down there that something is not right. But oh no, they will not do that. They take one look down there, see that everything is perfectly fine, then give me a clean bill of health and send me on my way...lol Pathetic, i swear. Then just recently, whatever is in my belly has grown more because now i can feel something stuck in my esophagus that was never there before. Plus i can no longer squirt as much water up myself as i used to with the syringe, because when i try, the water just come leaking out of me before it's had a chance to stay in there and do anything. So again that means that this thing in my belly is getting bigger and bigger. But the barium swallow did not turn up anything. I tried again to tell the examining doctor to please look down there extra carefully for any little tiny sign of things not being the way they should, because i tried to tell him that the problem is not with my esophagus, but with my bowels. That is where the problem is originating. But he could not get out of there fast enough. Just smiling at me and nodding his head, pretending to care. I had to practically follow him out the door in order to finish telling him what i wanted to say. But he did not care of course, no one does. Please for the love of God, help me if you can. Thanks so much in advance for any advice you can give me doctor. Dwayne Pagnotto

You can start with 30ml and very slowly and gradually increase upto 120ml like 30,60,90,120... Just try this for a week and I hope this works for you... May God heal you soon... Take care
I - fasted seven days total. One days prior and six days after. I’m a ex- fashion model and have experience with fasting.. I was on pain medication (much Hemorrhoid ectomyneeded, make no mistake!) around the clock until day six. I figured six days would be long enough to heal my interiors. Well, I had used used my pain prescriptions by day seven, and having to go to the bathroom was a whole new level of pain, as in AGONY. Three hours of absolute writhing along in bed and trips to scalding hot bath to neutralize the pain. Definitely would fast again and even longer because of the actual pain from surgery. Wait AS LONG AS HUMANELY POSSIBLY TRUST ME. It’s whole new level of torture once you try to get regular. Trying to cope, but forget about your life- you’re bed and bath bound a few weeks afterwards. Also, I self manage with rectal massage and sort of external help to pass the stool when I have a flare up so I do not strain. I cannot seem to find any research published about this. Do you know about this, is it called something or have I made it up? Thanks a lot!
The issue with fasting is next: 1. After 24 the body starts to make much more stem cells and can send them to problematic areas much easier. 2. Getting a break to the digestive system, because when this system is working, most of it's energy goes to digestion and it's a ton of energy. The fasting need to be long of two-three days with a lot of water, but after such a fasting you need to eat, a lot of water and fibers.
@@keyonnasims7935 it continues to do the same process but you starting loosing muscle tissues. If you do it like once a year, it's fine. But not every month. 3 days water fasting once in a month or two it is more than enough I think.
Fasting made me constipated and therefore created more haemorrhoids to come back - it ended up going thrombosed. So painful for over a year and now is semi prolapsed. I do NOT recommend fasting if you have haemorrhoids.

Well guys it’s almost March 3rd and I had a theory and I decided to do it which eat only DATES and drink water and juices for 7 days. I had anal fissure before 3 years and I did a surgery which was 100% successful. But now I had anal fissure again due to my bad habits like drinking almost 1 glass of water a day and eating lots of carbs and proteins with almost no fibers so it relapse. But it again plateaued and stayed at that level/frequency, so now i am eating mostly just yogurt and canned pineapple, my stools have little to no form now and zero blood so far the past five days.

Now again it appeared and I am again in the suffering stage. unable to stand for more than 5 mins unable to stand up from sitting position, unable to cough, sneeze freely. what should I do

I have question. Had surgerie 2 months ago, recovering was normal. I got a fisure and now I’m in pain again. Dr prescribed and oitment, but if feel like my problem is I can’t not relax and have a lot of spams. Any recomendation???
Thank you for sharing your story. The best next step would be seeing a specialist to find out why you are in pain. I do understand your question and can make a video on this topic. But I'm unable to make recommendations as I cannot examine you. I wish you the best.
i feel like it would make a ton of sense by not eating/pooping for a day or so it can definitely give more time to heal in-between. Therefore fasting for at least 24 hours once or twice a week should significantly help the fissure healing time! so in short, by giving your anus a full day (or potentially more) of rest and time to heal is way better to heal it than having a bowel movement (or more) every single day which in turn takes your anal tear a fraction of a step back each time you do so.
Is Ramadan fasting recommended? As a Muslim it is mendatory to fast in Ramadan. And we are not allowed to eat and drink. Please suggest if it would detoriarate the anal fissure or not?

But I usually do have to go every day I’m actually more regular than I ever was it’s just hard to get out because all of this fear etc. made me have extremely tight anal muscles and dyssengernic defecation.
I have a fissure and now I've emptied my bowels, I'm going to fast for a few days and then slowly move back to higher fibre foods and plenty of water. I'd say long term, it's not a good idea, but your fissure needs to heal and pooing won't help.
I intermittent fast in general, but not specifically to manage hemarroids. This is was useful thanks. I wondered what your thoughts of 'Hemorr-ice' the long white cryotherapy device as treatment? My friend in the US says it has managed her hemarroids instantly and effectively without pain, but it isn't available in the UK. Not sure why as it just looks like a piece of plastic you can freeze and insert but I wonder if you know about it's efficacy?
There are no studies on this specific device. Be sure to use a lot of lubrication and be very slow when using it. Also, I don't recommend doing daily tasks with this in your bottom end, either...Be safe!
Just putting a quatruplet folded toiletpaper with COLD water on it gives you relief instantly. Great if you can reach the cold water tap whilst sitting on the throne! Otherwise take a container to the bathroom. Don't squeeze the toiletpaper, keep it flat and hold it to your anus for 10-20 seconds it will sting for a second. After that it just feels good. Repeat with another load of cold water. Just hold, don't rub! I feel like it shrinks the inflammed tissues and therefore helps with pooping. Also great for cleaning, Important aswell!
I suffered from hemorrhoids lately especially after I undergo my internal hemorrhoid banding. It’s a 3 separate procedure like 3 weeks interval. With my 1st procedure my experience was not that good. I automatically had the feeling of urge to urinate but sometimes having hard time urinating or feeling that I haven’t finished urinating yet but there is no more coming out. Frequent bowel movement and constipated the stool is difficult to come out. The pain and discomfort is in highest level. I’ve been suffering and feel hopeless how to relieve the pain I’ve been experiencing. I’ve been searching the internet on how to manage my hemorrhoid. First the food we eat is important. Eat foods with high fiber. Don’t eat meat, frozen foods, instant food. fried foods, junk foods etc. Eat more vegetables and fruits. For the protein supplement eat beans, lentils as the alternative. Eat fish. Eat more leafy vegetables spinach etc. Drink lots of water. When constipated I take herbal tea with senna. I eat yogurt with berries for good digestion. For my supplements I take citrus bioflavanoids. To reduce inflammation of my hemorrhoids I take Hem Rid Max. I used essential oils like witch hazel. I also used vitamin E 400 iu in a soft gel. I cut the gel capsule and used the oil and put it on my hemorrhoids. This reduces the inflammation significantly. Now Im getting better less pain and discomfort. Hope this will help others who are experiencing what I’ve been through.
I literally consider doing this but then I was like Yeah I’m not adding insult to injury and starving myself so I just eat really super clean and no gluten and all whole foods plant-based/vegan
if people regularly prolonged fasted 50% of doctors would be out of a job. that's a fact and it's why medical schools and industry have censored any discussion on the topic
It’s actually highly recommended to fast two weeks before surgery and two weeks afterwards.

Hello how are you doing now?
I would say that from my experience
Yes fasting is great for hemorrhoids
Passing stool causes the bleeding and wound
When you fast, you also don't poop
Poop is food from 24-36 hours ago
So if you stop eating you will also stop pooping
Caffeine is also really bad for hemorrhoids and I would highly recommend to not drink any
24 hours of fasting won't do much
You need to do a minimum of a 48 hour fast to see relief
Not only that, when you fast the body enables autophagy
This is where cells recycle waste or non-essential material and your body can self heal cancers and all sorts of issues
If you research and study autophagy it's actually insane how powerful it is and healthy it is for the body
So autophagy really only starts after 24 full hours of a water fast and it peaks around 48 hours
I would challenge anyone who is suffering to try a 48 hour water only fast and I pretty much guarantee you would see major relief
Nothing else has ever worked or helped me
Creams, ointments, suppositories are all useless in my experience
The hemorrhoid can heal and retract if you stop eating
Hey hi i just wanted to know whether you got rid of hemorrhoids permanently now
@@erick.j8508he probably passed away from fasting, which is why you haven’t heard from him

Your videos hit the nail on the head all the time
It's the middle of Jan 2024 and for the first ever, at age 68, I developed grade 4 prolapsed hemorrhoids.
Did you improve ?
Yes, for me the 3 day water fast helped significantly.
2 and a half to 3 liters of water, plus pink salt for electrolytes, plus multivitamins and b vitamins.
Much easier to do than I thought, plus giving time to heal, ( 3 days plus another 2 days before I needed to poop again).
Very, very important to start eating again SLOWLY, with small meals for several days, things shrank up enough that I had no problems and still continue to improve.
For anyone interested in a 3 day fast, make sure to watch dr. Berg videos on fasting and re-feeding.
yeah that's not how you do carnivore mate, you need fat.
And the milk complicates things, test it only 2 months in
@@archonofvoidabsolutely…we need water. Dr Chaffee explained his energy comes from 2 gallons! But he also explains about upping your fat to even 80% of needed. I noticed it works. I think we can all get where we are going in more ways than one…but I do enjoy the NO gas at ALL life on carni.

Over the years, as I have experimenting there are many things to tell you from my side, and also want to know from your side as well.
Wasn’t hemorrhoidectomy extremely painful?

Other 5% is Advil. As soon as I feel more pain I start taking Advil after stool. That starting pain is bearable i easy to handle, but the brain starts to narrow and squeeze the exit, and that is a red flag.

How do they work differently? Any harm in long-term use of either or both...? Can they be used together or alternately? etc.
Can you do a presentation on this matter?

Hello. I am really praying you still use this RUclips account. Every single thing you have said has been my exact experience for 4 weeks now. Every time my bowel fills up my whole stomach and abdomen expand to huge huge amounts and this presses on my internal haemorrhoids and the hemorroids act like a huge BLOCK and then nothing can come out. I relate to everything you’ve said 100%
Hi... Have you tried drinking ghee(clarified butter) empty stomach early morning followed with sipping hot water... You can start with 30ml and very slowly and gradually increase upto 120ml like 30,60,90,120... Make sure you drink this early morning during sunrise and keep sipping warm water whole day and just consume some warm soup when hungry... Soup should be a little grainy and let spicy...

Yes I said WEEKS.
Same, after WC on day 3 post op, I was destroyed for like 4-5 hours, the doctor refused to give me good pain Medication because it make you dependent, what a bullshit, better to be dependent for 2 weeks than suffer this agony...post op surgery
The pain meds makes your fissure hurt so bad !!! Lmao you don't understand
So are saying after surgery the pain was worst?
@@machinegunhippyI think i also worsened my fissure pain and spasming by taking ibuprofen and diazepam, thinking that it would relax my muscles in the pelvic area.

Can you talk about surgery for a fissure? Recommend or no? Pros and cons.
I did a 4-day water-only fast and on the 4th day I got the worst hemorrhoid of my life. It was internal, external, and thrombosed. Do you know why that happened?
Also, I self manage with rectal massage and sort of external help to pass the stool when I have a flare up so I do not strain. I cannot seem to find any research published about this. Do you know about this, is it called something or have I made it up? Thanks a lot!
I have not read on this topic, but massage and pelvic manipulation is a very real thing. I wish you the best.
The issue with fasting is next:
Ok what if I do it for 5days?
@@keyonnasims7935 it continues to do the same process but you starting loosing muscle tissues.
If you do it like once a year, it's fine. But not every month. 3 days water fasting once in a month or two it is more than enough I think.

Fasting made me constipated and therefore created more haemorrhoids to come back - it ended up going thrombosed. So painful for over a year and now is semi prolapsed. I do NOT recommend fasting if you have haemorrhoids.

Hi Doctor Chung,
I just sent you an email with multiple questions. I now realize my first questions on fasting and liquid dieting have already been answered by you here! Please disregard that section. I am still making my way thru your channel, but would appreciate a reply nonetheless. Thank you ever so much.
I will share my experience after 7 days if I got better or worse. A surgery is a choice for me and I will do it within a month if nothing is changed. Note: I suffered from anal fissure 8 days ago so I’m still in acute phase which rise my success rate.
hello, how are you doing now?
@@baebiesakusa3463 update I stopped eating dates on March 6th. Now I’m only drinking water and pure juice. I did that to stop defecation and give time for fissure to be healed. Today is March 10th and I’m planning to continue till March 13rd.

Im on day 20 of a 1 pureed (nutrition dense) meal a day, vitamins, fiber, tonnes of water. and im under around a quarter of the amount of blood i used to when i have my morning bowel movement. Im going to stop at 30 days and see where im at then. So far so good.
How.is going with the diet and did you have hemoroids or a fissure?
@@bibliotecaluigabriel3265 fissure. At the start i was passing blood on its own without stool and it was pretty bad, id wake up in the morning and pass a shotglass size glob of blood by itself and things like that. Id have to run to the washroom to pass pure blood frequently every day. The diet was very intensive and took a lot of energy out of me but it did get it down from its alarming and extremely agitatable state. Didnt clear it up completely, though. I ate some regular food after 28 days for a couple weeks to just get my digestion back to regular nutrition and habits, then went to eating mostly canned chickpeas, canned lentil, cooked zucchini, yogurt. That worked well and got the blood down to roughly the surface area of 1-2 thumbnails of blood covering my stool 2/3rds of the time, 1/3rd of the time no blood at all. i was hitting 2 day streaks of no blood with that throughout too. But it again plateaued and stayed at that level/frequency, so now i am eating mostly just yogurt and canned pineapple, my stools have little to no form now and zero blood so far the past five days.

How long should the diet be good for till you can eat bad once in a while ?
I used to poop once every 3-4 days, since menopause it is 2-4 times a day, never had the hemorrhoids until recently.
Thanks Doctor

i feel like it would make a ton of sense by not eating/pooping for a day or so it can definitely give more time to heal in-between.
Your anus only likes soft stools so I would do the best I could to achieve this.
When I started using resistance bands on my legs is when I had this problem.

Hello I’m have same situation what can it be please answer me
I have problem in stomach since last 4 months and that's become the reason of my anal fissure BCS of hard stool I have pain in left right and the central pain in stomach can you tell me what is the exactly problem is BCS I go for a doctor 4 doctors checked me but no one detect the problem.
can not eating cause constipation or hardpoop after the day you finally
Nope it don’t!!!
I’m on a juice fast for other reasons. But I’m in day 70 today and my juices sometimes make me pop but even after 70 days of no solids ..my ass still hurts when I have to poo
After fasting will skin tag go away
1 tea sppon of metamucil 3-1 after every meal it makes the poop like jelly it my hemrhoids
Are used to only poop like once every three days. Now since I’ve developed hemmerhoids and fissures other anorectal issues I’m almost obsessed that I have to go every day.
Thanks
What you're waiting for 4:00
I suffered from hemorrhoids lately especially after I undergo my internal hemorrhoid banding.
Did it help?
thanks
