- Today, day 130 of my video diary "A Year in the Life of a Miniaturist" was spent thinking about how to transfer my idea for a miniature Tudor Merchant's House from the concept to reality. I have drafted up a set of architectural drawings in 1:12 scale to guide the construction. Let me know what you think of the idea and design? Was Sunday today. Roger was off at the Canine Good Citizen trials with Saffi. Saffi is an Airedale Terrier - you hear her barking sometimes in the background of my videos :)
I thought, I'm not staying home alone! So, I took mum out for lunch at Aroma India - a nearby Indian restaurant. Lovely meal, lovely staff. Ideal! Happy miniatures everyone!! Regards, Jill.
Wow, just Wow❤❤
Thanks Susan.
Love your plan! And the great drawings! Woof! from my dogs in southern Arizona to yours!❤
Thank you. Woofs been passed on. Saffy is in a funk right now. Dad has gone for a couple of days. She is sulking by the door.
Your drawing look like a work of art Jill. Two days in the studio sounds like paradise although you might have to enter Roger’s kitchen for a meal or two.
Yep, I get to play in the kitchen. Ha ha. Even when he's not here though, I can hear him following me around telling me what not to do. I left the dishes in the sink last night. A small rebellion.
You are incredibly detailed in process and “products!” I so joy watching! Thanks much! Kathleen❤
Probably will be diagnosed with OCD soon Kathleen!!!!!
You simply must give Saffy all our love from your followers, poor baby. Our last little dog was a miniature long hair Dachshund whom we miss terribly. He was the sweetest dog we ever had. Your plans are marvelous, and I can't wait to see it's progress. Hope Roger has a safe trip and is back with you soon. Thanks for sharing!
Saffi knows I'm 'second dog' and I don't cut it like Roger. I am working on the side rendition today to show the shape of the front projections. Roger just rang. He is the oldest person at the IT convention. He has a chance to become an IT guru if that is the case.
You've put so much into the research and drawings for the Tudor merchants house just know it is going to be fantastic and we will all love following you creating it.People from those times were of course smaller anyway and the poor maids were probably undernourished and stooped as well so will fit in the attic rooms! We have Summer back for a few days here with gorgeous warm sunshine which has been very rare this year so far!Best wishes from Yorkshire Dales England and from our two noisy Westies to your barking assistant.
We are sort of mid winter. Snow is forecast down south today and that makes it chilly for us a bit further North. Complete opposite of the UK. I love Westies. My nephew has one. I love dogs per see. We have had mainly Airedales and Jack Russels or Sh Itzu. With the Tudor house, it is such a project I have to make it properly and make it worthwhile. No shortcuts but plenty of finishing ideas I think, that will interest you.
The new house is truly beautiful...the Tudor times have always been fascinating to me and I live down the road from Hampton Court Palace 😮
What a lovely area to live in. I hope I can do justice to my plans!!
Evening from the UK..your plans and drawings are amazing.. we are in a heatwave here soooo 🔥...7.20pm Tuesday.. Nice to relax and watch your videos..❤❤❤
Hi there, thank you. Keep cool. We are in a dry region of New Zealand and we had a drought last summer. All or nothing these days isn't it.
Wow
Thank you Susan. I can do wow!
This made me miss drafting. Can't wait to see the progress.
I used to love the way my life size house plans came to life when the job was finished. It is a special process isn't it?
@@miniaturetimetraveller Yes!
Love the new plans. It’s going to be a beautiful house! I received my magazine it is beautiful!!! Thank you. Wishing Roger a safe trip.😊
It will keep me busy for sure Irene! And, I'm thrilled you received the first issue in your subscription. Enjoy the reading! Warm regards, Jill.
Thank you so much Jill.
This is going to be amazing! Even your drawings and blueprints are spectacular! What was your dog competing for? Canine citizen of the year?😂 That would have been a very grand honor indeed. Maybe next year!
I always get the giggles when I think of Saffi being a good canine citizen. She is a typical Airedale. Self assured, does things in her time not yours, often rebels. Roger tries so hard to train her up without breaking her spirit. She doesn't bite, loves licking little kids in strollers, friends with every other dog on the block, but.... gets distracted by food. She failed the test where she had to sit quietly by Rogers chair in a cafe. She kept popping up to see what was on the table!!
@@miniaturetimetraveller that is adorable! ❤️❤️❤️
Hello Jill, your plans look great, will each floor jetty out or just the first floor, the front aspect drawing looks wonderful, I'm looking forward to watching the building process. Have a great week ahead.
Best Wishes from Yorkshire, England 🇬🇧 😊
Hi Diane. Yes, the levels will jut out as they rise. I am about to post todays diary entry and you will see that on the side view I have drawn up. All the best from down under! Jill.
Thank goodness you posted when you did…I needed to be rescued from the American political scene on RUclips 😳 This blueprint is impressive. As always I’m 100% in for the Jill Journey😊 All the best from Pennsylvania ❤
Pennsylvanis! You have been in the thick of it then. Best to stick to minis. The problems are smaller! Best wishes.
@@miniaturetimetraveller Ha ha, I love that "the problems are smaller".
