ABOUT ME I grew up in a cabinet shop and was born to be a woodworker. In the past few years when work slowed in the custom cabinet industry, I converted a few friend's Vans and SUV's so they had more storage for adventuring, work, or just the weekend beach getaway. Before I knew it I had my own business making people's ideas come to life. I design and build all kinds of custom woodwork and vehicles here at my shop in Huntington Beach, California!
killah! i'm all about the 60% seat delete! you got me thinking of my best camp kitchen / drawer system!
I think this is your best build yet. I really like kitchen set up. It’s very realistic and seems functionality perfect.
Your builds keep getting better and better. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
I've got an 8 ft. bed slide in my Tundra and use a 48" Dewalt clamp (reversed to be a spreader) for a single support leg when I have the platform completely extended and fully loaded. Being fully adjustable, the clamp adjusts to any height and takes the load off my bed slide hardware. The portion of the clamp that extends up above my platform comes in handy for hanging my hat or towel. Ez pz. Nice work on your set-ups. For your system, I'm imagining a single leg that pivots down from a routed channel in the bottom of your drawer bottom with a telescoping leg similar to my Bosch tripod for my laser level. Simple, but stong enough to keep the drawer from sagging any.
Brian, all your builds are clean and modern.
Damn it, Brian!! This makes me want to redo my setup!! LOL! Great job!
Awesome design. Hoping to build a single drawer in my 2nd gen Tacoma with my shoddy wood working skills. Your videos have really helped me narrow down what I want in a minimalist build. Thank you!
Cool build awesome craftsmanship as always Brian
Great work. I would paint it black to blend in with the interior
Really like this setup, going to try to retrofit to my 3rd gen
You cannot beat this build, going to try it out 🏔🚐💨
Very nice as always Brian.
Currently saving up money to order one from you! Can’t wait.
Brian you do some great work. Cleans, simple and fully functional builds. Love to see your new designs
Great design. Thank you.
Add a support leg for the sink. That collapses like the folding bed extension?
Great set-up. You keep making improvements.
Always amazed at your work!
Another design and build! Thanks for sharing
Love your work, very clean and great looking... Still looking forward to a Jeep wrangler one though !!!
Cutouts doors in the platform for access to the slide out drawers from the top when your in the vehicle would be cool. Also, smaller hole cutouts strategically placed on the whole unit for weight reduction and air circulation to prevent potential mildew issues that can be created when sleeping in the space. Design a shelf above your feet area when using to sleep to store refrig/cooler, Jackery, water, food, etc. Cheeper Jeeper TV RUclips channel has a great mod build on a sleeping platform & shelf design. With this drawer system and the Cheeper Jeeper mods, plus your own tweeking, I believe a great setup can be achieved. Then, add a net attic system for additional overhead storage.
@@grizzbuck Thanks for the info, I do follow Dino and his channel, I just love the aspect of the small/fine details that make the difference. I know that the platform Dino made has been "updated" by another person. Honestly I have already made my system already, just love the way Solid Wood Worx shows his production and all the helpful ideas and tips !!!
He's back!
Really great build. I like it. Simple but very useful space.
This is a great idea now the question is can I try and copy it! Lol
Excellente build!🤘🏼
Awesome build! Weren't you doing one for a 200 series landcruiser? I'd love to see a sleeping platform build for that.
You are a bad ass! Keep up all the great work.
Nice build . is there a cooler area
how do attached that box to the car?
Wonderful!
Bro excellent work
Great work!
Where do you put the fridge or cooler?
Yayyyy finally!!!! Good work
What drawer slides did you use for the aluminum topped table?
Love your builds, How much weight are these drawers typically able to hold? Especially the far end of the long drawer slide out piece
We use 250lb locking slides but we expect them to hold 100lbs at the end
Could you possibly go into detail on how you secure these down/ where you choose to depending on the vehicle?

you do sweet work
I like this alot
Excellent! 👍
How much for that drawer slide ?
Diggin' it!
Awesome!
Wonder how much this sent up cost. That's bad ass.
What weight slides did you use? I am planning a double extension with a fridge draw on the other side. I am curious how the 72” draws setup is working out? I am worried that boiling a pot of spaghetti out the end might be precarious.
It does slant a bit. The customer uses a monopod leg if he has to cooking anything heavy on the end.
Does that pump work just like that? As in, take it out the drawer, sit it in place and it is ready? Amazing if so!
Yes, you have to connect the water line but ya it is battery operated.
So awesomeness
Any idea if/when this will be available as a kit to purchase from your website?
Probably not till next year
wow!
What’s the bottle in the back left.
Compressed air for airing up the tires.
Do you plan to do a lay out for the new Baby Bronco aka: The Bronco Sport?
I have not seen the inside of one yet
I have not seen the inside of one yet
Cost please?
how does the sink drain and is the box storage unit you made waterproofed? also did you account for the sitting water in the sink if the drawer is fully extended and what weight capacity it might hold with the drawer slides. its a good design and im very interested in doing the same for my trd pro.
The sink has a little plug on the bottom its mostly to wash dishes then you dump the water when your done. I saw the customer yesterday and he says the whole setup works great. Yes everything was coasted with polyurathane.
nice!!!
where are you located?
Huntington Beach, Ca
Do you sell the plans for this?
No plans for the custom drawers yet
Do you sell the basic drawer and sleeper plans?
Any side to side or up and down play with such long drawers? Is it pretty usable to cook on or does it require additional stability?
Yes there is play but it is able to hold the stoves and cooking pans
In case he wants to bring his son😂😂😂. Come on dad!😢
Where are you located? What’s the cost on a build like this?
Where you get that pump?

I love every project you do! Just curious about one thing: when you do dual drawers like this, what thickness of lumber are you using for the center support between the drawers and what thickness of plywood do you use for the frame of the drawer? I built out my truck (F150) using 3/4” for vertical and top support (I’m a bit heavy) and 1/2” for other things but it is really heavy so I’m thinking I could have used a different size.
Also (rookie question) is there such thing as a bottom mounted drawer slide (I’ve see it done like on pantry cabinets) or do you just mount them sideways? I want to make a sliding counter top that reveals a hidden cooktop so you can keep the counter top usable, just scooted over.
I use it just how you explained
SUGGESTION-An additional amount of weight reduction can be achieved by cutting or drilling areas of the plywood that would not be seen on the completed build. Also, the additional holes and cutouts would allow for airflow to eliminate the possibility of mold from the condensation of sleeping in the vehicle.
I have a Toyota 4Runner (4th Gen) and I wanted to remove the interior plastic panels along with the seatbelts in the back (rear seats already removed).
I feel as though there could be a lot of wasted space between the plastic and the body of the car... Is it worth removing it? I've never seen anyone take them out.
Especially because I want to build storage units on the side of my bed, instead of it being just underneath the bed - So I would in a way build over the plastic segments anyways
I personally wouldn't know I have net removed many plastic pieces on a 4runner yet!
Do you take Canadian customers?
I do not ship any systems this large
Nice work but I dont understand why anyone wants to cook on their drawers. Seems like a good way to trap food particles and smell in your vehicle.
No body has ever told me that that has happened to them. just saw this customer yesterday and the drawers dont smell after 1 year of use.
Where does he store his food?
In the right drawer
Juist a little out of my price range from this youtuber
