This is the proper way to make a youtube video. Notice how he didn't talk into the camera for the first 5 minutes and then stop to talk every 2 minutes after that. I learned more from just watching him work than some dude trying to expound on his vast knowledge and cleverness. Well done sir!
I didn't make it to any speaking. He seems talented. I would have appreciated more narrative on what and why he is doing what he is. Not sure is proper is the correct ter. Maybe your preferred.
And thank you for sharing your wisdom on these things that can kill us. No need to breathe toxic chemicals because we're "tough" enough to stand it at that moment.
@@billywill903 Not the way Sam did it, but a more basic version could be done in far less of a shop than his. You will find that buying tools is still cheaper than paying someone to do it and you'll pick up a new hobby while you're at it!
@@mastermetalshredder guess it all depends how much your time is worth and if you will get the value out of the tools in the long run. Some things are better to buy, some aren't. You just have to be honest with yourself, building it yourself isn't always cheaper and doesn't always turn out better. You just have to consider all variables.
WELL DONE!!! No talking, no annoying music, great camera angles and lighting and didn’t ask me to subscribe or like! Even though I have all these same skills and was only watching just for new ideas, I did both! Thank you for restoring my faith in RUclipsrs. Cheers!
As a Carpenter and Finish Carpenter great job and love the attention to detail! With this design you could also make another set of drawers to swap for different purposes. Fantastic!
Thanks for your interest! I don't plan on building anything custom to fit any vehicle other than the 2nd/3rd gen Toyota Tacoma with the 6' long bed, and possibly the 5' short bed later. However, it is truly just a box, so if it fits within your wheel wells and length of the bed, it still might work for your truck. The finished dimensions are: 73" x 42" x 9.75" I may expand to other vehicles on later batches, but that would definitely be in the far future. Hey Sam!! I commend you on your precision with the skateboard bearings... For me at least that stuff is a nightmare to line up. Causing me hours of frustration and cursing, lol!! Damn good job sir!!
Loved it, especially using 1/2 inch steel tubing for slides. I wish I thought of what you did before I spent a fortune buying full extention slides myself.
Great job. It seems like many people think the skills will come with buying the tools. You obviously earned the skills and then bought the best tools needed for the job. I appreciate your attention to detail and love of your craft.
Those turned out very nice. One thing I would caution you on is angling the saw blade towards the fence. It's an easy way for a piece of wood to give you a higher pitched voice.
Incredible attention to detail, excellent work! Looking back at the project, what lessons did you learn, and was there something you would do differently now?
Glad I could help. I can't take credit for the skateboard bearings. I hope you checked the link in the description for Pask Makes on the full tutorial!
Hey man. Super clean job you did on that. I've been looking around for ideas for a trailer build, I'll be using some of what you've done here. Thanks heaps for the video.
Thank you for your kind words! I've never been offered lunch for my RUclips videos, and it's a most humbling offer. I'm on the east side of the state, and don't venture to the crowded side of the mountains very often though.
Outstanding vid mate will steal quite a few of your ideas lol. Loved the attention to detail quality build bro. All the best from Perth Western Australia peace man
You should be proud of that build. I am planning on doing something similar but for my carpentry tools rather than a camping rig. Congrats on 1k subscribers too btw!

I am almost at the end of the video and he hasn't stopped to talk yet...
I concur. Its one of the best so far ive seen.
I agree.

It's a shame that RUclips demonetizes videos that include copyrighted music, even snippets like this one has. He deserves to be paid for this.
What, no introduction, no music...Straight to the point. Love it. You are talented man. Great job
Amazing dude, and thank you for modeling 'masking up!' Older guy here that had friends that didn't over the years...and they are not here.
And thank you for sharing your wisdom on these things that can kill us. No need to breathe toxic chemicals because we're "tough" enough to stand it at that moment.
watching these DIY videos, everyone seems to have every tool under the sun..
U think I can do this with a drill and skill saw ?
Generally it takes a lot of tools to be able to do an entire projects yourself! 😉

@@HuntsT I hear that about the time, it is definitely hard to make time when you work too much like so many of us do
Not only are you one skilled designer/craftsman, but...YOUR BIKES!!
I enjoy bikes. :)

I just wanna say You are a Genius!!!
Even a thousand Likes from me are totally NOT enough to show my Love on your Built.

You and I must have the same taste in music. Literally every song that you have is what I play in my shop! Great job!
as a camper i love your work.. and as an Australian i love that you were listening to 12ft ninja 🤘
Love the weight reduction considerations you put into this. Also, the custom metal bar slider on roller wheel bearings is genius!
I first saw the presentation video and thought it was storebought. Then I saw this video and was amazed. Congrats!
That was a sheer joy watching that all take shape. I wish I knew how to do HALF the work you did here.
Very nice workmanship and design. Thanks for sharing.
Dude! You got some mad skills… that build is wicked cool
Fantastic. I want just the kitchen drawer. Make mine to fit my Chev Colorado and send it to Montana please! Love love this!

Wow! Incredible attention to detail.
I like the drawer slides. Seems like everyone else uses the ultra-expensive, super heavy-duty, pre-made ones.
You are a genius. Excellent work!
Love it.
Man, you've got some serious skills. Well done.
This is by far one of the best, to the point, clear videos on making truck camper useful furniture Ive seen. Good job!
Hey Sam!!
I commend you on your precision with the skateboard bearings...
For me at least that stuff is a nightmare to line up. Causing me hours of frustration and cursing, lol!!
Damn good job sir!!

The skills come with practice; it helps to have good tools.
Really nice build. Love the bearing slides!

You are one talented chippy. Great job mate. Very therapeutic to watch, weirdly 🤷🏼♂️😂
Satisfying build, good craftsmanship
Excellent video. No bull shot fluff back story to waste people’s time.
Well done. nice work. Thanks for the inspiration.
Those turned out very nice. One thing I would caution you on is angling the saw blade towards the fence. It's an easy way for a piece of wood to give you a higher pitched voice.
Good to know. I'm also going to invest in a sawstop for my next table saw - way too easy to hurt yourself on table saws.
That's what you call craftsmanship and proper engineering! Great Job Sam!
Very nice Sam!
Wow beautiful craftsmanship. Thanks for the inspiration. Enjoy the fruits of you labour.👍
Great build...You sir are a true craftsman.
I loved every minute of it
Masterful. Nicely done
Well set up man cave!😊
I'd love one of these, I have a 2016 Chevy Colorado Z71.
Incredible attention to detail, excellent work! Looking back at the project, what lessons did you learn, and was there something you would do differently now?
