Imagine 5 snipers camping next to an amplifier, it would be a bodyshot fest.
When I was about 12 I taught myself how to use photoshop so I could trick people into thinking that there was a secret upcoming spy update based on some kind of subtle background element that I had photoshopped in to the background of some asset from one of the other updates (it was definitely originally a picture of demoman, so probably it was an early teaser image for WAR!). I remember thinking that it was pretty convincing and was proud of myself for keeping it subtle and realistic but I made like 5 different versions across 5 different forums and every time the first comment was someone debunking it so eventually I gave up.

My favorite TF2 Hoax was when I saw somewhere in 2012 that we'd be going to Russia to fight the robots in MVM because of the snowy winter map from the trailer
Hei there ! ITS ME ! hahaa ! Thank you for putting me in your video , i died of laughter xDDDD . so back in that day i was 12 and i loved to edit videos and make montages. Also that was my epic Sony Vegas 7 (Cracked) video editing skillz ! i too fell for that fake spy update thing . and that link in the video was from our SSMP ( Spy sapping my patience ) clan forum . Good old TF2 memories when the game was about fun and clan matches and not about hats and skins .

i really want to see a version of tf2 where all of the hoaxes were real. imagine being an engineer with like a dozen different mechs getting harassed with a spy throwing sappers, and then the spy just gets turned to gold after being slapped by heavy

Honestly a Heavy weapon that turns killed players into Gold isn't a bad idea, even if it's just a reskin of the stock fist
