At the end manual enthusiasts won. Good on Hyundai for finally offering a manual for the 1.5 turbo. This even made VW give a manual to the Virtus GT. This is why competition is important because it ultimately benefits us consumers.
I recently bought Verna Turbo MT. IMHO Slavia is better when it comes to sheer driving pleasure(test drove the 1.5tsi) but I chose Verna because it felt more practical and comfortable. Soft suspension, silent cabin & great interiors makes for a plush and luxurious ride. Added to that Hyundai has a better service network and experience. Verna is like a all rounder and Slavia is the specialist. I hope both cars do well in sales though as both are amazing machines. Last but not the least thanks to you guys for showing fair game. Kudos.
actually they did neutral dropping on their virtus dsg in that case verna has no chance . But even if Verna is quicker 0-130 after that virtus will gap verna easily . and yea handling of Verna is pathetic after 120-130kmph whereas virtus remains rock solid even at 200 so what’s the point of those 10 extra bhp when u can’t handle them

Keeping aside others specification, The kerb Weight difference for these two varients are 1251 kg (verna) and 1258 kg (slavia). Happy to see the verna win 😊. And not some VW toxic fangirls doing some rigged races, and hating on the verna just because the internet said them to. As a car guy myself would not tell anyone to hate on any cars except a certain kind of automobiles. But out of these my pick would be Slavia, cause its just better overall 😊
Driveability, Ground clearance, Better customer service(Just walk down to both showroom and customer service desk, you get the difference), Lesser waiting time in terms of delivery for skoda cars.

Verna is a car for family man who drives 60% of the time sanely and occasionally (30%) wants to be a enthusiast. Virtus is a pure performance oriented package, which is fast and agile, with precise steering feedback. Overall, it all depends on personal preference and perspective, bcz a man with RED glasses cannot see GREEN.
I think salavia safety features is not make wheel spins on wet roads, salavia comes with tons of electronic safety features regarding traction that make sure car not spins wheels especially when the grip is not there on road even traction control off.

Nope definitely the Verna. It has a much softer suspension so it’s easier to drive over bad roads and speed breakers. The advantage Slavia has is of Ground Clearance, but unless you’re going where there are really bad roads, Verna is a better option
But when it comes to mid range and top end Virtus/Slavia 1.5 TSi demolishes the Verna 1.5 Turbo anyday And tuning potential of this TSi are just mind blowing No doubt Hyundai is improving day by day when it comes to driving dynamics but still they can't match upto German twins level But i love the Fluidic and NextGen Verna 1.6 CRDi compare to new one ❤️
The Verna has a top speed of 215 and slavia has a top speed of 203. Overdrive and autocar have confirmed that the Verna is quicker till 160 and the fact is the verna has a higher top speed. I don’t know what your uniformed brain is talking about
Its not Verna is faster from 0-210 , Slavia and Virtus are locked at 203 , I have seen Verna goin past 210. So, 1.5 TGDI is any day better in performance and refinement, Tuning potential wise TSI will beat but thats 0.2 percent of audience will do.
Yes you are right dude. it is heavier but only slightly it's not that big of a difference(18kg) i feel like better stock tyres on the Verna and 160hp helped .
Both these cars are fantastic. There’s no case of one being better than the other, the Verna has more features, higher top speed, quicker acceleration till 160(vbox tested and confirmed by autocar), better interior (subjective), a more connected service network, smoother dual clutch (confirmed by both autocar and overdrive)and better low speed ride. The VAG cars have the better steering feedback, better suspension at higher speeds and safety (though the verna is not tested). What’s unfortunate is that both these cars have a lot of body roll for a sedan which is unfortunate. Outside of that it’s horses for courses and both the manufacturers should be appreciated for their effort.

0 to 100 acceleration is not only criteria for a driver's sedan .it has to be stable enough in high speeds..which Verna lacks..it has to be confident inspiring which Verna lacks..it has to be tunable like German engines which it lacks..it's tuned to its max limit.. Germans can be tuned above 200 bhp without any engine hardware issue..and last but not the least Verna lacks safety..it's chassis is not as rigid as a German car...we can't expect much of a driver's focused car from Hyundai india

Please do a rolling race from 90 kmph which is a practical highway speed to 200kmph .. you may choose Indore Circuit which is quite safe and Verna will not feel much nervous at high speed. It's true every drag race I've ever seen of Slavia, it can never pull off aggresively from the start. It takes away the fun of the manual control one wishes to have. Not sure if anyone who has got their Slavia/Virtus coded was able to find anything on this & disable it. The Slavia is only behind by a small margin which again is nothing wrong to expect considering the lesser horses it has compared to the Verna.
Finally someone have the eyes and mind on manual...others kept focusing on automatic.... if u call urself true car guy are critisize cars then u r not a car guy....and it always about manuals❤
Well i own Slavia 1.5 Dsg and i have job in nodia and hometown in dehradun In Noida i get city mileage of around 14-15 kmpl and in dehradun 9-10 kmpl.. so if your city has good roads then slavia has good mileage I tried verna but handling and front looks were the downside.. if people live in city with more traffic and less roads then an EV or Hybrid is always better option..

Verna gearbox is designed for good initial to mid range and Slavia’s for well balance till top end. On highways cars are mostly in motion so practically Slavia will win. Also Slavia has top end 150ps range from 5000-6000 RPM however Verna 160ps peaks at 5500RPM. Slavia will definitely win beyond 160 kmph speeds and in any rolling speed at 80kmph onwards which is a practical highway speed. Also beyond 170 , Verna will be very nervous and slavia touches 200 easily . Every Tom Dick and Harry touching 200 in Slavia easily. To be fair your next video should be rolling at 90 kmph onwards till 200kmph and let both be automatic in sports mode. You have many good roads now, you may try Indore circuit, it is very safe. Happy motoring. Also very simple fundamental.. shorter the gears faster the pickup but poor top end. Moreover Verna does not require top end performance as it’s chassis , suspension and steering are not compatible with 200kmph speeds.

Nope definitely the Verna. It has a much softer suspension so it’s easier to drive over bad roads and speed breakers. The advantage Slavia has is of Ground Clearance, but unless you’re going where there are really bad roads, Verna is a better option

Its not Verna is faster from 0-210 , Slavia and Virtus are locked at 203 , I have seen Verna goin past 210. So, 1.5 TGDI is any day better in performance and refinement, Tuning potential wise TSI will beat but thats 0.2 percent of audience will do.

Yes you are right dude. it is heavier but only slightly it's not that big of a difference(18kg) i feel like better stock tyres on the Verna and 160hp helped .

Both these cars are fantastic. There’s no case of one being better than the other, the Verna has more features, higher top speed, quicker acceleration till 160(vbox tested and confirmed by autocar), better interior (subjective), a more connected service network, smoother dual clutch (confirmed by both autocar and overdrive)and better low speed ride. The VAG cars have the better steering feedback, better suspension at higher speeds and safety (though the verna is not tested). What’s unfortunate is that both these cars have a lot of body roll for a sedan which is unfortunate. Outside of that it’s horses for courses and both the manufacturers should be appreciated for their effort.

0 to 100 acceleration is not only criteria for a driver's sedan .it has to be stable enough in high speeds..which Verna lacks..it has to be confident inspiring which Verna lacks..it has to be tunable like German engines which it lacks..it's tuned to its max limit.. Germans can be tuned above 200 bhp without any engine hardware issue..and last but not the least Verna lacks safety..it's chassis is not as rigid as a German car...we can't expect much of a driver's focused car from Hyundai india

Please do a rolling race from 90 kmph which is a practical highway speed to 200kmph .. you may choose Indore Circuit which is quite safe and Verna will not feel much nervous at high speed. It's true every drag race I've ever seen of Slavia, it can never pull off aggresively from the start. It takes away the fun of the manual control one wishes to have. Not sure if anyone who has got their Slavia/Virtus coded was able to find anything on this & disable it. The Slavia is only behind by a small margin which again is nothing wrong to expect considering the lesser horses it has compared to the Verna.

Well i own Slavia 1.5 Dsg and i have job in nodia and hometown in dehradun
In Noida i get city mileage of around 14-15 kmpl and in dehradun 9-10 kmpl.. so if your city has good roads then slavia has good mileage
I tried verna but handling and front looks were the downside.. if people live in city with more traffic and less roads then an EV or Hybrid is always better option..

In VW/Skoda the TPMS need to be reset so that it’s calibrated to the new/updated tyre pressure. It’s not automated.

In 0 to 100 timings verna launched around 5000 rpm and slavia just launched like normal launch seems to be youtubers are biased against hyundai cars
Verna gearbox is designed for good initial to mid range and Slavia’s for well balance till top end. On highways cars are mostly in motion so practically Slavia will win. Also Slavia has top end 150ps range from 5000-6000 RPM however Verna 160ps peaks at 5500RPM. Slavia will definitely win beyond 160 kmph speeds and in any rolling speed at 80kmph onwards which is a practical highway speed. Also beyond 170 , Verna will be very nervous and slavia touches 200 easily . Every Tom Dick and Harry touching 200 in Slavia easily. To be fair your next video should be rolling at 90 kmph onwards till 200kmph and let both be automatic in sports mode. You have many good roads now, you may try Indore circuit, it is very safe. Happy motoring. Also very simple fundamental.. shorter the gears faster the pickup but poor top end. Moreover Verna does not require top end performance as it’s chassis , suspension and steering are not compatible with 200kmph speeds.
