- This is a small montage of various continuity alterations i have made to the MCU over the years. Its Mainly focussed on The Netflix Shows and Mainly adding Avengers Tower, but i have also tinkered with a few Movie deleted scenes and added a couple other Continuity Nods to the Shows aswell.
If you guys like what i have produced, then i will put together a second montage soon of other altered scenes, so if there are any suggestions for specific shots or scenes you want to see Avengers Tower inserted into, or want to recommend any other continuity adjustments then feel free to let me know below
Honestly, having the tower in a bunch of scenes, especially Jessica Jones, would give SO much more weight to them. The whole "I'm not a hero" conflict
I can imagine that - her looking up at the Tower contemplating the whole "Hero" thing
That's the only scene where it really adds anything. In all the rest, I felt more like I was just playing Where's Waldo.

@@kellogscornflakes2430 it's the Metlife building in real life which is actually on the east side while Hell's Kitchen is on the west side but that doesn't even matter because from afar at some of these angles you can still see it in the skyline
This is now my headcanon. This was actually in the shows as I remember and nobody tell me otherwise.

Well, it has to be, actually. Marvel Studios also do it now. Canonically we have to imagine the Tower is there.
I just hate that legal reasons and money are LITERALLY the only reason these crossovers haven't happened yet. The studio owns the rights, and if something like a Sony and Marvel Studios deal can happen, why can't Marvel Television, something OWNED by Marvel Studios, work out a deal? The audiences want it to happen. Everyone wants it to happen. Everyone.
FielAlManga well then someday All of Marvel need to merge together under one banner, this disconnectedness with each other is stupid. Right or wrong it's still fucking retarded and many people want to see these cameos and crossovers happen. It needs to happen more than ever now that Spider-Man is in the same universe.
But the characters are still marvels studios property.
Same with Disney daredevil is still part of marvel studios, shows as well are under Disney such as agents of shield on ABC.
Blame Pearlmutter. The guy’s got a grudge against Marvel Studios now that Feige reports to Bob Iger instead of him. The Netflix shows started out well in terms of connecting to the films, but this corporate BS has slowly made it so we get far fewer references to the films. I mean Defenders only had 1 or 2 references ffs...

Mega Man I know I'm late but I'm pretty sure they haven't done it for BS legal or political reasons. Feige and the biggest shareholder at Marvel don't like each other so little connections like this don't happen. I mean I know CG is expensive and that's why Ghost Rider won't appear on Netflix but placing a stand in tower is pretty damn simple

Even though its marvel tv making the netflix shows the tower is marvel studios property so they can't just put it in there. Thats why none of the references are directed toward the MCU. The building is blurred in the distance and that paper only said "the incident" instead of "invasion" or "aliens." Sorry but unless Marvel studios meets them half way the two will never crossover or have any direct references to the MCU.

@@emmet_schmidt They just went back and edited a Ms Marvel episode which featured the Statue of Liberty and turned it from green to copper (since that's the color it is now since SM: No Way Home) so if they can do that, I hope they can do the same for the former-Netflix-now-D+ shows (actually same thing with Multiverse of Madness and Hawkeye since they also feature the MetLife buiding)

Proving just how possible it was to add the Tower and put to rest our concerns about connectivity...
It’s the little details like this, that make investing in the MCU worthwhile.
Now that the shows formerly run on Netflix have been recanonized as they should be since they were created to be set in the MCU to begin with I think they should add an edit like this to add the tower.

Curious about how the deleted cafe scene from Avengers 1 was done. That's actually a shot that was going to include the tower in the first place. Nice to see it sort of finished here.
0:52, why does it look so far downtown there? The Avengers Tower is the Metlife building which is relatively close to the Empire State Building.
Maybe that's where it is I guess
the video isn't perfect, they put it in the financial district for some reason. It's also facing the wrong direction sometimes

It's already quite obvious that the Netflix shows do take place in the MCU, but it would be nice if we could see Avengers tower in scenes like those.

@@SlimKim3 Yes and all these series( defenders) can easily be rebooted aka new series IMHO better. I would rather watch 6-9 episodes of these shows like WandaVision than 13 episodes per season.

It’s honestly a very simple composite. It wouldn’t cost much at all in relative to most of the FX work that goes into these shows. So I just can’t see why we haven’t gotten it yet..

I haven't watched any of the shows, but damn, just the fact that the MetLife building is prominent in the background of so many of these shots makes it seem like the producers had intended to have the Avengers Tower there but the people in post couldn't/didn't follow up.

The production team wants to spend every ounce on the show itself. Not fan service. Though I wish someone from Marvel Studios would step in and front the cash for it.
It isn't really. Marvel think they can get away with a one way street. The movies are unaffected by the TV shows and it will stay that way. Marvel still needs to explain who characters are from other movies when they show up in a crossover. Imagine trying to explain TV characters to those who only watch the movies.
JezzupWuzzup Yes but if it’s a one way street, then the lack of Stark Tower is a plothole. We know that the battle for NYC happened, therefore stark tower exists in this universe. Whilst the films can get away without acknowledging the shows, the shows need to stay true to every aspect of the films.

Thank god I'm not the only one who's been wanting to do this. I knew it was possible but damn I didn't think it'd look that good. The only one that seemed noticeable was the Sokovia newspaper but even then it was pretty cool. GREAT JOB!

I'd love to see high quality edits fixing small plot holes in the mcu. Another easy one would be the spiderman time stamp screen.
@@sgtpepper9001 fixing the timestamp doesn't make the plot hole go away, because it's mentioned in dialogue several times and is integral to the story

Remember kids. Marvel TV isn’t run by Marvel Studios. See it’s kind of like that movie Kangaroo Jack you saw as a kid. Remember how they promised that it’d be a fun talking kangaroo movie? It was a lie. Just like them saying these shows take place in the MCU. Enjoy them for what they are! They aren’t bad because of that! But the “It’s all connected” is an absolute lie.

For whatever reason the Netflix shows that now have moved to Disney+ are only in 1080p currently, but it's confirmed by Disney that 4K versions are coming. I doubt it, but wouldn't it be great if they finally added Avengers Tower in the background? I mean, there has to be a reason why they didn't drop the UHD versions with the HD versions, right? Right?!

Could I possibly get a copy of the Cap cafe scene? I'm putting together a collection of the MCU for a reactor friend of mine and I want to give her the most complete, immersive experience possible so I am looking for extended fan edits, etc and when necessary doing my own edits.
