It's a thing of wonder. And I am not exaggerating. AoS was a trailblazer of a show. Without it we wouldn't have Wandavision, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, and all of the other Disney+ MCU shows.

Probably wouldn't have had the Netflix shows, Runaways, Agent Carter, or Cloak and Dagger. We owe alot to this show.

@@Unversed333 Indeed. All of them too. AoS was proof of concept that the MCU could work on the small screen. And that you could expand the narrative beyond theatrical releases. Of course, it's different now, as the people making the TV shows are the same people making the movies; but the sheer effort that must have gone into coordinating events between the old Marvel Television people and the ABC network AND the people working at Marvel Studios only makes AoS's feats (in the early years before Marvel Studios broke away) even more impressive.

Nioce!... But forgot Ep 16 - End of the Beginning: Victoria Hand tells the team that Sitwell will not be part of the missions to find the Clairvoyant as he has to leave for the Lemurian Star, the same ship we first see him on in CA: The Winter Soldier.

Ep. 2- Last 084 was a hammer, which was Mjolnir in Thor
Ep. 2: Coulson bringing Skye as a consultant, like Fury did with Tony in Iron Man 2
Ep. 2 and beyond: dangers of gamma radiation as mentioned in The Incredible Hulk and The Avengers.
Ep. 3: Coulson is still salty about his trading cards being ruined in The Avengers.
Ep. 7: Simmons mentioning the Triskelion before its appearance in The Winter Soldier.
Ep. 13: Emil Blonsky is in SHIELD custody as revealed in The Consultant One-Shot.'
Ep.15: Coulson recounting how he met Sif and the Asgardians in Thor. (Bonus for Simmons name dropping Jane Foster and Erik Selvig). Sif also calling Coulson "Son of Coul" like Thor did.
Ep. 17: Coulson's cellist girlfriend finally appears.
Ep. 19: Mentions of Alexander Pierce and Project Insight from the Winter Soldier.
Ep. 19 and 21: Howling Commandos are mentioned by Trip.
Ep. 22: Fury brings Coulson the Destroyer Gun from The Avengers.
Unsorted: Coulson's death at the hands of Loki, Battle of New York, Project Pegasus, Chitauri, etc.

As much as I love Captain America Winter Soldier, I can’t help but blame it for the turn agents of shield took. Season 1 was everything I expected AoS to be, picking up the pieces from the main movies, handling the less obvious stuff, high tech gadgets and gear, occasional appearances from other mcu stars. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying the following seasons were bad, but after the big hydra reveal, I feel like a lot of that stuff went away when they were forced to operate in the shadows.

@@mr.dystopian5554 No problem. I remember it because of the betrayal, Maria Hill giving up one of Fury's secret bases, leading the US military into (and under) Canadian soil (Is that even legal? In another country?), just to save her own skin (I think she got a write-off by the government for giving secrets). And then she only helps Coulson when he tells her about Ward.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher, Agent Carter, Inhumans, Runaways and Cloak & Dagger are all canon to the MCU. Period.
Edit: Brad Winderbaum confirms that Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders and The Punisher are all canon in the MCU after the release of ECHO with each show added to the Main Timeline on Disney Plus.
