Dietary fiber is your key to beating food cravings. It balances blood sugar, keeping you full longer and reducing the urge to snack. Fiber nourishes your body and gives you control over your appetite, helping you stay focused on what matters.
I have covered the reasons why we should limit grains in a 1 minute video, which would be complement to the information covered in the video, what this: ruclips.net/video/tq9K02xBc0w/видео.html
Fiber also causes diverticulitis. IBS, etc. It might be useful if you eat carbs. If you eat a carnivore diet, fat is what controls stool consistency. I haven't had any fiber for 10 months and my poo is just fine and doesn't have an unpleasant odor anymore. Poop is just waste products your body can't use so it is getting rid of it. I only poop 2 or 3 times a week and it is very little. On carnivore, my body absorbs the vast majority of anything I eat. But, you do you, boo.
There are two types of fiber in food. One is soluble fiber and it is in complex carbs. The other is insoluble fiber and it is what we call roughage which can’t be digested as it is plant cell walls but it does add water and bulk to stools so they can move properly as the video showed. The video did not discuss soluble fiber but it is very important. Humans can’t digest soluble fiber directly with the enzymes in our small intestines but those soluble fibers do break down into a gel like substance that moves through our gut and helps remove cholesterol and also prevents an insulin spike when we eat complex carbs (unlike simple sugars). This is why whole food carbs are so much more healthy than refined carbs. As soluble fiber gets to the large intestine there are trillions of bacteria there and they love to eat that soluble fiber. There are so many bacteria in our gut that they outnumber human cells in our bodies 10 to 1. All these gut bacteria are super hungry for soluble fiber and they produce short chain fatty acids (SCFA’s) as a byproduct when they eat the soluble fiber. These SCFA’s we can use as energy. In fact the USDA estimates that we get 2 calories from every one gram of soluble fiber we eat and this energy comes directly from the bacteria in our guts. It’s really quite amazing!
@@TheInterestingInformer Maybe, but that's not the point. The point is that you can't call it the most important nutrient when the nutritional requirement is 0. If you didn't eat fiber for a year you would still be alive, if you didn't eat protein, certain fatty acids, vitamins or minerals you would most likely be dead after a year. It also depends if were talking soluble fiber or insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber is probably healthy but insoluble fiber is basically just sawdust and serves no purpose in the human digestive system.
@@RickyVis no one in this thread said it was the most necessary nutrient. Just that it was. I was just refuting your statement that you don’t need it. You don’t need a lot of things, but without those things you’ll take years of more off your life. Just because you can go years without vitamin b12 for example, does that also mean it’s not a nutrient?

Yeah I should listen to an overweight dude telling me about diet and my gut health, acne cleared up after taking in large amounts of fiber.

they say fiber cannot digest by the human tract, then why do u need plant fiber?make no sense!

you are 100% right!! it blocks your digestion to the point where u can get diverticulosis-
Complete nonsense! Like trying to fix a traffic jam by adding more cars. Remove fiber all together and add fat instead.
Dietary fibres are also known as roughage😌
Nice video but fiber is not a nutrient.
Why can’t fast food chains dump a some fiber powder in there foods we wouldn’t even taste it

Dietary fibre is not considered as nutritient
It is a carbohydrate and is a nutrient.
@@rerun3283 It is an undigestible carbohydrate and the minimum requirement for the human body is 0.
