  • Healthy diets remain a mystery to many people, and we all wan to know what is "Good" to eat. In my experience as a surgeon there is simply not enough fiber in the average North American's diet. Here Dr. Hilsden discusses how much fiber to get in your diet and some surprising sources of fiber.

    The bread is 27g of fibre per 1000 cals, the oats is also 27g of fibre per 1000 cals and the popcorn is 29g of fibre per 1000 cals.
    In conclusion, they are all roughly the same amount of fibre per 1000 cals, so you can choose whichever you fancy and you've doing just fine.
    The thing about the bread though, is you're likely to pair it with something else... so if you do so, be sure to pair it with something healthy. Other than that, have at it!

    Iceberg lettuce is amazing fpr water and bulk, so what ypu said is misleading. Its the only lettuce i eat

      That's the point of fiber. You don't digest it and so it pushes everything through, helping you to not be constipated (poop getting stuck/not moving)
