      half of it is he's probably back on a big cycle and half of it is just that he's peaking again. powerlifters wouldn't hit close to their peak when they're not on a training cycle or just going light

      @@pryme2013 How not? He’s literally about 50-75lbs away on bench and he’s less than 100lbs away on both deadlift and squat. I know those numbers are a lot when you are at that kind of wait but Larry is also improving and increasing his strength at a dramatic pace even when he starts to slow down soon, he is putting on good lean size too not like last time where he couldn’t even breath at 300lbs+

      @MdoubleHB It's not "just" because of drugs. It's because of amazingly hard work over a long period of time with utmost consistency. Drugs definitely help. There's no denying that. But being a lifetime natural weightlifter myself (45 years) I know how much work goes into achieving these goals.

      I would guess he's doing such heavy singles because he's working towards his mock meet and is testing where he's at for that. Of course you have to try and hit higher numbers when getting towards a meet, but it always sucks to get injured trying.

    Spotter on the right in video (left) had no clue on how to spot. If he had his hands like the guy on the left (right) they possibly had a chance to help. Was he planning on curling the weight up?!

      thats why i always try to look for guys how can handle that kind of weight when im lifting, might be even more dangerous than no spotter at all when they dont know what to do

      My thoughts exactly, get closer to the bar, you can't curl 480 pounds bud. Larry is a nice guy and didn't say anything but that injury could have been avoided if he didn't have to sit in the hole that long.

      I don't think most people can hold that kind of weight in that position anyway. And look how empty the gym is, there's most likely not a lot a people qualified to spot a 950lbs squat. If you were asked to spot him, would you say no and let him squat without a spot? Because I sure wouldn't want to be in that guy's shoes.

      Watching him do anything is inspirational. He inspired me to my 100KG OHP I watched his 190kg strict press video and decided I wanted to be at least half as strong as Larry at something I figured the OHP was the only lift I could achieve it in because I am shoulder dominant.

      In his weight class he's the with in the top 2 or 3 strength Champs of all time but if you look at guys of any weight he's probably only 12th or 13th strongest.

    Those squat sub tittles mentioning wrong weights as these had to be 432 kgs not 392 kgs. But that was really heavy stuff just insulting my squats...😄😄😄

      @@Kavriel exactly his point. Two men cannot safely handle 425lbs each in a sudden situation. Safety straps need to be set up properly with that type of weight. Should not be relying on humans for anything except bench.

      They have bands to give resistance for if the weight fails and two spotters. Even then when they dropped the weight the squat rack nearly fell over for which Larry had to catch. I think that’s the best they can do for safety while also making the squat as effective as possible

    This happened to me two weeks ago. Pop. Then controlled weight down. Deadlifted 225 for reps today and will probably be able to do light legs now. You got this man.
