LOVE you energy. Keep knitting!!!!!!!!!
Aww thank you ☺️🫶
so easy
Bless your kind heart.
Thank you for this very basic pattern. I’m knitting hats for homeless men, and this pattern is excellent. I’ve knitted 21 so far, all in #4 yarn,. And I’m just thrilled. Who says an 82 year old takes forever to learn. God Bless you Darlin. ❤️🇨🇦🙏
Wow that’s great 😃 so glad you like it 😊
@@knittingforbaby ❤️❤️
This is such an amazing thing you’re doing, you’ve restored my faith in humanity ♥️ Sending you love and good vibes♥️
I'm actually doing the same, only for women and men!
Wonderful thing that you do! I want to start knitting for the homeless too, you use #4 yarn do you have a favourite for this pattern, red heart , lion brand?
There is something very important that you did here and I am really happy to see what you did, even though you did not really stress it. Pulling the extra cord so that the stitches could fit around to the other needle when using a longer circular needle FIXED my problem! I was not able to figure this out until you casually mentioned it. WOW! Thanks. You might might to stress that in your next video.
I've been knitting for 20+ years and I have learned 2 new things. Thank you. Love your hats
You’re very welcome 😉

Knit easy hato
I use the exact same continental knitting method that you are using. You are the FIRST person I have seen that does the purl correctly, with the least amount of effort. Excellent.
I too do this method of continental. I thought I made it up cause I couldn’t do the pearling the way others taught it 😂
Great way of learning something new... You make it so easy to follow, thsnks
thanks to your easy to follow and simple tutorial, I have now knitted my first hat in just about 6 hours 😃
THANK YOU……………You made finishing a ribbed hst easy… Finally…a method I can follow.. Amazing.
I’ve seen this particular “finish” made in much more complicated way…
I want to do the baby version.. in fact, I have one on the needles now….just waiting to be finished…
You pulled the extra cord through (on the right needle) to stitch in the round. This is another problem I was having as I just started learning how to knit in the round. Again, thanks, very helpful. Do I sound excited? YES!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Even if I don't speak English I could understand exactly what to do. I'm new in knitting, hope to learn more with your tutorials!!!
You’re very welcome ☺️
BEAUTIFUL hat, thank you so much for sharing!!❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you so much I've crocheted a long time. Now practicing knitting.
You’re very welcome 😉
I Have Just Knitted This Hat For A Relation Your Tutorial Makes It Easy To Follow Becauce I Can Read It Comfortably And You Explain Everything Perfect I Have Just Come Across This Tutorial So I Will Try Ans and Make More Of Your Beautiful Things As I Only Use Two Straight Needles I Am Comfortable With Them And Just Start To Knit During The Start Of The Covid Lockdown At 77 Years But Throughly Enjoy It Thankyou So Much 😀
Thank you so much :-)) Your step by step instructions were easy to follow and enjoyable to knit. I made mine in navy to match my coat. Looking forward to more projects with you.
You’re very welcome 😉 thanks for your support.
Hi could you pls tell me the finished total length of the hat pls
Thank you! Great instruction and very nice finished product.
You’re very welcome 😊
Thank you so much!! Your method is great!!
Ooo... first time I've seen this style of knitting! Odd to me...newbie knitter....but so cool. Reminds me of crotcheting.
I BADLY NEEDED THIS TUTORIAL . THANKS LOADS
Love your video ,I knit the same . Lot of video dont work for me because of it. Make hundreds of hats for charity .didn't know how to do it on round needles . Hate sewing them after ,this will save me a lot of time . Thank you .
I am knitting these to give to the shelters and for the homeless I hope that is ok with you because I have knitting a hole lot so far. Thank you for the easy tutorial to follow. I had two surgeries this year so I have been off work since Feb, so knitting these hats has been a blessing it took away boredom
Sounds great! Thank you for your support 😊
You are a WONDERFUL teacher. Thank you very much for making my first project easy. Appreciate your tutorial.
You are so welcome! 🤗
You are the best! Thank you so much! Can knit the exact same hat for my brother!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! So easy to understand. I was following a different pattern that was taught to me, but needed help with the last stages of reducing and your tutorial worked perfectly!
You are so welcome!
You are a great teacher. I can’t wait to give it a try!
Thank you 😊
I've been looking for this kind of pattern for so long, I thought I'd never find it. It is so simple yet so pretty, thank you for showing us!
You’re welcome 😊
That was the easiest hat I have knitted, thanks for that xx
You’re very welcome xx
I am more of a crochet person but for hats I feel knitting works much better - thank you for this super nice tutorial, great for knitting begginers like me :)
You’re very welcome 😉 I have a crochet channel too it’s called Crochet for Baby 😉
Thanks for teaching so nicely....u r good teacher.
You’re welcome 😉
That is great instruction. So glad i found your tutorial. You are very clear, efficient and easy to follow.💖👍🌻chris
Thank you 😊
I just love your video. You explain things so thoroughly. I had been using the long cast method. But after trying your method I will continue to use this method . I do not have to cut the yarn with your method. Still going to do your pattern but on straight needled instead. Flat instead of in the round.
Very well explained and demonstrated. Thankyou.
You’re very welcome 😊
By far, the best hat knitting tutorial for the beginners like me, who just started their journey. I was getting so overwhelmed watching other hat tutorials. Your calming voice in video really helped me overcome my fear to try this hat pattern. Thank you so much, dear❤. God bless you.😊
Thank you for your videos , love them, nice and easy to follow. Could you please tell me the total length of the hat when finished please. Thank you
Just finished my hat! 🙈 Loving it and so proud of myself for actually finishing it 😊 Thank you so much for tutorial! 🥰
You’re very welcome ☺️
@@knittingforbaby when you were knitting this hat did you turn your work every time you finished a row or not ?
@@janeaacosta9075 You don't turn your work because you knit in the round; you knit non stop (2 knit, 2 purl).
Love it!!
The best instructions ever!!
Thank you 😊
Thank you! I watched so many hat videos. Yours the easiest to follow. I can't wait to get started.
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for this tutorial. Is there a difference in the way you joined in the round versus just knitting the first stitch?
Lovely!!! I am going to knit this for a young boy.
Great tutorial. Learned a couple new ideas. Only thing, I had to purchase a second skein of yarn. I used #5, 125 g. It wasn’t enough!
Thank you 😊
Great video! well explained and showed keep it up!
Thank you 😊
I'm a very New beginner. I would recommend doing your stitches a little bit slower, at least for the first few stitches. With that said, it is a beautiful hat and I will try to follow your directions once I get the hang of knit and purl. Thank you for your time.
You can slow the speed of the video down to catch it.
@@sykotikmommy good idea!!
Clear direction’s thank you
Thank you so much easy to follow 💐
Brilliant tutorial..I've already started..Will you please how long should I knit before reducing the stitches..I'll be obliged if you let me know the length in inches. Thanks
Luv the way u explained step by step n made it easy for beginners thk u so much
You’re very welcome 😉
Excellent tutorial. My first time using circular knitting needle. Love the way you held the yarn, it was new to me and intrigued. Thanks.
Excellent teaching 👍🤝
Thankyou thanakyou thankyou i learned from you you are the best teacher .
Very well made video and your explanation is easy to follow ... thank you

Love it you are a great teacher i learn so much from you ....what brand of knitting needles u use.? u made my day ..thanks
I use Chiagoo knitting needles. They are the best 👍👍 thanks for watching 😊
👏👏👏
Love 💕 it.
Very easy instructions
Excellent video 🙌❣️🧶
Thank you 😊
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you so much🙏
Nice hat thank u for sharing hope to see more videos I would like to knit the same with thick yarn but I don't want to fold it so till what length should I knit before decreasing
I’d say until it measures about 7 3/4 of an in and then reduce in the same way. If it’s for you try it on so that you can start reducing when you have about 1-2 in left from total height. Good luck and thanks for watching ☺️
I really love this, thank you! How man centimeters did you knit before you start decreasing?
I believe I heard her say 60 rows before decreasing

I did it ! Thank you very much. 😄🙏
Very pretty
Thank you 😊
Thank you so much
Thank you Sara very good beautiful
You’re very welcome 😊
Nice 👍
Thank you👌🏽
just some feedback. I loved your seed stitch hat and in fact made 2 for my wife since learning it.
This one though you need to slow just a little the first time doing something as the first row was easy to understand K-K-P-P but when you got to row 2 you were like K-K -P through the back - P through the back.......On that I am totally confused and a little slower motion for the first few stitches would be great on future patterns. I know in my case I just started knitting in November 2021 so am still new to all this and some stitches still a little confusing.
Otherwise thanks my wife loved the first two hats I did using your seed stitch video!!!
Well done Very nice
So if my husband has a 23” Charlie Brown head 80 stitches will be enough? Your directions are so clear I’m looking forward to making him a hat.
Lol 😆 yes but if you want you can add 4 more stitches. Good luck.
Thanks sis and so nice work
You’re very welcome 😊
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks again🌷
You’re very welcome ☺️
Hi and thank you for your easy to follow tutorial
Could you please explain why you knit into the back of the knit stitch on the first round but not on the subsequent rounds. And why do you purl through the back of the stitch? Thank you smuch
I’m a combination continental knitter
Such a great video!! :) So easy to follow for a befinner like me. I am from sweden so I have to see which yarn i should use. Can i use merino wool? Or is acrylic better? Many thanks Looking forward trying to knit this :)
Thank you and you can use any yarn that’s similar in weight with a thickness of about 4-5mm.
Thank You :) Always hard finding the right yarn for new knitting projects!
I'm having trouble (due to the Pandemic) finding knitting Needles for your projects. Grrr. Love your channel. Thanks so much for your easy/awesome instructions.
Would you mind sharing what you do for a job? Are you a school teacher perhaps? Just curious you don't (of course) have to answer! )
Lol how did you guess 😉 since the pandemic due to medical reasons I’m currently unemployed with a full time job as a homemaker and carpool mommy lol 😅
Excellent video thank you ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you beautiful
Couple of questions
What is the length of the hat in inch’s please
Also how many inches was it before you started to decrease the stitch
Many thanks x
This is excellent, thank you 😊
How many stitches would I need to cast on for a man's hat? Would 80 be enough or would you go for a bit more? Many thanks x
This fits perfect on adult men with head circumference of about 23in but if you want to add more stitches, then you can add 4 or 8 more.
Simple and easy
Beautiful hat! I'm a new knitter and was wondering why you cast on to two needles. Was this to keep your cast on fairly loose so its easier to knit the first row?
That is exactly why 😃 thanks for watching.
@@knittingforbaby Thank you! I'll be making this for my husband.
You’re very welcome 😉 I’m sure he will love it. I made several for my brothers and husband in neon orange for hunting season here and they were a hit lol 😆
Hi, I'm a beginner and I was wondering are you knitting from the back loop and pearling from the front in the first row?
Yes she is Viyana. When people knit continental I also noted that they knit into back of stitch, and purl in front as we all do. Hope this helps. ❤️🇨🇦
Yes that is correct 👍
@@christinacruden886 thank you!!!
Or should i double my medium weight 4 yarn as two strands?
I know everyone knits differently - but the you purled is new to me. Does the way you purled makes the hats more stretching?? .
No I don’t think so. You can knit and purl however way you know how and the end result will be the same 😉
why did you double the needles when you were figuring out the amount of tail you needed? I have seen this method but usually only the one needle size was used. And how did you come up with the amount of 20 to rotate on the needle?
Like the video and pattern. Just a like confused do we have to cast on with two needle?? Or can I use a larger size t cast on??
You can cast on which ever way you like 👍
Just wondering if you have this hat with a straight needle
I love this hat; is there a way to download the instructions so that I can print them? I want to knit hats for all my family members and like to knit while I watch TV? thank you.
Hi 👋 yes the pattern is available in my Etsy shop. Here’s the link etsy.me/2Z0ZmKG
Hi do unable this on straight needles and double knit wool please
Thanks
Hello! Getting ready to try to knit your lovely hat! What is the reason you purl from the back, bottom up? You also seem to scoop your stitches. The result is beautiful, but how will mine look if I just do a basic purl? Thank you for your tutorial. Your voice is so soothing!
Hi! Glad you like it 😀 so I’m a combination knitter I’ve been told lol it’s just the way I was taught. Luckily you can knit and purl however way you know and the end result will be the same 😉
Amen
my besty/bff
Where does it say on the packet the size of yearn ? I am not sure about the size of mine. I know it DK and they suggest needles 4 on the packet ... not sure if I need to do in two threads or use single thread and cast on more stitches ?
This is the equivalent to chunky yarn. In the US the yarn is numbered. You can use two strands of DK.
Can I use yarn #3,
4.5mm needles?
I really like this design!
Yes but it’s going to come out smaller.
You have an interesting way of purling.
I’m a combination continental knitter
Hi! Is it possible to use 6.5mm needles for this pattern instead of 5mm? I’m using weight 5 yarn.
Yes you can but you will have to cast on less stitches. The multiples to this stitch is 4. I’d probably cast on 12 -16 less stitches to make up the bigger needle size. Good luck 👍
why did you cast on both needles? I am getting very confused as I have never seen this done
Wait so if i have regular needles (not round) do i still do the last “doesn’t count” cast on stitch?
No just slip the first stitch.
I did the baby hat…can I do this with straight needles if so what size..4mm or 5mm
Yes you can. Just use the same size and seam it at the end.
Hi, I only have a 4mm circular needle and number 4 yarn, is that ok or should I add up the number of cast on stitches?
Yes add 4 or 8 more stitches to make up needle size.
@@knittingforbaby ok thank you
Hi l would like to do this using 4 or 4.5 mm needles using dk wool, do you no hos msny stitches l woukd meed cast on please, thanks U K xx
