I got my first vita in 2015 loved it. Bought a 2000 to install cfw and it is just amazing.
Can you do it with 1000
@@cemjgamer7388 yes, I believe it is the same process. I kept my 1000 incase I screwed up.
@@cemjgamer7388yes, any vita can be exploited
Great video -- I'm thinking of picking one up soon😊
Thank you ! Don't forget to pick up SD2Vita adapter
I 💙💕my vita
Same, i have the slim model, its too amazing to be real, have all my psp, and ps1 childhood games on it 😊
@@KikoBG12same i missed playing the old god of war games
i just bought a ps vita recently and i cant wait to play the older persona games
your video is amazing, at the end of the video, I was shocked when you saied you had only 100 subs, you really deserve more :D
Thank you !
Still got my blue vita, still worth keeping. Some emulators aren't performing well but as a whole it's all good
Keep it safe man, blue vita looks amazing !
what emulators you got that don't work great???
Bro I thought you had over 400K subs... your video quality is really good and informative. I wouldn't have noticed that this is a small channel... until you mentioned it xD But hey good job on the content. Never give up, chase your dreams, and keep it up!!
Also after a lot of research, I have decided to get a Vita... since it's a really good device to play PSP, PS1, and the 3rd party ports on the go. It's also not too shabby with other emulations... The battery is pretty good asw and it's just a cool handheld to own. Definitely recommend getting a Vita in 2023 since the homebrew scene is coolio the community is nice and over all it plays all the retro games I grew up with and love.
Thank you a lot ! Trying my best to give as much info as possible.
Vita is a great console for sure and congrats on your purchase !
Great video. I started gaming and hacking back in 90s and early 2000s. I’m feeling the need to get back into it. I have two psp’s but I think im gonna get a Vita. Thanks for the info
Thank you !
PSP is an amazing device! For sure Vita will be a great addition to your collection
I just got a PS Vita ☺ I honestly love it so much! I wish it didn't have proprietary storage and that weird charger that is also proprietary but I love the screen, and the controls. It is a tiny bit small but honestly holding the device is fine. I'm not huge on that touchpad on the back but I love the dpad and the analog sticks they're super responsive and I like the audio. The OLED screen is really nice though! I would love to see another Vita iteration from Sony though. I've only had mine for a couple days now but I really like the bubbles and themes. The cameras are terrible though lol I actually really like the PS Vita 1000 I love the weight and design. I been playing Bit Trip Runner so far but I'm not sure what else to play. I've never played any of the Sony games so I'm not sure what to play first lol
Congrats on the purchase !
I do recommend getting Wipeout 2048 if you like futuristic racing games and of course Gravity Rush! Uncharted for vita is also good. Those three games should be a good starting point
@@ilya_played Thankl you!! I'm loving it! :D Wipeout 2048, got it! Ooh Gravity Rush looks cool and I haven't played any of the Uncharted games! Thank you for the recommendation :D
If you haven't already, I highly recommend looking into installing custom firmware, and maybe replacing expensive memory cards with an "sd2vita", which, after cfw, you can use a micro sd card in the game card slot as storage instead. I have a 512gb micro sd card in mine.
@@TXFDA 😮 You can do that? I'm not the most tech savvy but that sounds pretty straight-forward. Thank you :D I'll look into that :D
great video, I'm subscribing. I hope your channel got bigger..
Thank you !!
Jus hacked my Vita last weekend and I haven’t put it down since!
I got mines late 2013 for 80$ from a cousin’s brother in law barely used, thy only played madden on it and never went online with it and I still bring it with me everywhere along with the 3ds and switch but Sundays is when play on them the most it’s what I call chill gaming day
very excited that PS vita emualtjon is finally happening.
Yes !! It's sad that the console was not loved and didn't succeed, but it had some great titles through the years
I love Sony and the vita. Recently i've completed the playstation handheld evolution from the pocket station to the ps Vita slim
My vita getting fixed rn. Emulation got me hyped
Hope you get it back soon !
Great video dude, easy to watch you've got a great style of delivery.
I really appreciate it, thank you !
will be great to keep as collection.
For sure !
great video 🙌🏻
Thank you !
After 12 years of resisting, I finally purchase a preowned PS Vita OLED 1000 right in Akihabara Tokyo Japan as my memorable prized trophy buy! Awesome device I feel it can still holds these days.
Great video, I got the vita a little over a year ago, and it is a really great little device, especially if you enjoy playing psp and ps1 games!
Thank you ! Couldn't agree more
Ps vita fan here 👍 love my sony playstation products 💙
PS Vita is awesome!
Ps vita 4 life its a neat handheld system ❤
What’s the game name at 11:46 ?
It is One Piece Pirate Warriors 3
Just got a black and red 2000 recently from Japan
Congrats !
Which one do you recommend? 1000 or 2000? Thanks!
Hey, so I personally recommend the 2000. Here are the reasons.
- The device is newer so the battery will be better
- Micro SD cards instead of proprietary
- Internal Memory
- Micro USB Cable instead of proprietary Sony
The things you will be missing from the 1000 are
- OLED Panel on the 1000
- Some people say 1000 is more "premium" feel.
I would go with 2000
You may be the first person to say that the LCD screen is superior to the OLED. The LCD does look good, but if you put it next to an OLED, there is no discussion... the OLED is a nicer screen.
I think it is a preference really. Unfortunately Sony didn't put a great OLED in Vita. Some of the games look oversaturated, but generally of course OLED is a way to go
Thanks to the community the Sawny Vitta finally reached some of it‘s potential.
do you recommend getting the oled or the slim version?
For sure the slim. It has internal memory and a micro usb cable for charger
i've had both and would say the oled screen blows the lcd one away
I have to find a vita with an LCD to check, but logically it should lol. I just can't justify spending extra 30 bucks on a memory card, if I had to buy an OLED now
@@ilya_played Just get the cheapest ps vita memory card you can find, and then get a sd2vita adapter so that way you can use standard micro sd cards. I put a 128gb sd card in mine for really cheap and still get to enjoy the screen
That's true !
I guess I'm just too caught with the colors and micro usb 😅
I am considering buying a PS Vita but I am not much of a gamer. I would like to get a hold of some of the old Digimon titles for the Vita but they are not localized so all subtitles are in Japanese. So I am not sure if it is worth getting or if I could find some RPG games to my liking.
I know that there was even a petition for English localization for one of the Digimon games.
On your place I would search the best RPGs for Vita and see if you will like them on the description. Even if you don't like it, I don't think you will have a hard time re-selling your console
@@ilya_played i appreciate your input. I’m also trying to save some money to move to either Quebec or France so I’m debating on when to buy, if now or when I move in 2024.
@@ilya_played I did buy a Vita 2000 aqua blue version about a month ago and a friend of mine jailbroke it for me. I enjoy playing Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth on it which does have English subtitles. I decided to get Digimon World: Next Order on the PS4. I do have it on the Vita but it is not localized.
@@logenvestfold4143 Congrats !!! I'm so happy to see that you got it! Enjoy it and I do recommend trying Persona as it is a good RPG
@@ilya_played thanks! I did download Persona the other day. I plan to play it once I get caught up on my assignments.
I ordered a PS Vita especially for modding. At first I wanted a PSP but now I have more knowledge of modding because of my 3ds and now i want to have this modding beast.
It is a beast of a device for modding. Especially that it is veeeery simple now
Honestly, I think a big part of why the Vita failed, is due to Sony's poor marketing. You had a mix of weird ads, and ads that didn't even try to explain what the Vita was. Back in the day, I just assumed the Vita was yet another PSP redesign, like the PSP GO was. Even nowadays, half the people I mention the Vita to, don't realize it's it's own console.
For sure. It was very poorly advertised. I don't remember many commercials. I personally was a geek pack in the day and managed to ask my family to get me one in Asia by saying "I will re-sell it back at home" which I didn't do. It's sad that it flopped, but looking at the Project Q it looks like Sony don't learn on their mistakes
Got one today🎉🎉
Congrats!
@@ilya_played tyy
I need one so bad
Dnt understand how somebody messed up jak and Daxter collection on vita
Some Vita games/ports are a big mystery how they managed to make them run so bad
The thing about portables is precisely that. The switch have a ton of good pc games that run just fine
I much prefer the Vita rather than a switch.
That is a hard one, if Vita was loved by Sony and we had more games, it would dominate the market, IMHO. I do like Vita more than switch too, but the age shows on Vita unfortunately
Thanks for posting this video… I’m going to buy a blue modded ps vita 😁
Lucky you !! Hope you enjoy it !
If they released the PS Vita slim with 64gb and/or 128gb trying to redeem the utter sin making the original memory cards proprietary, charging ridicelous prices they would have sold considerable units
They did that with the PSP Go so I don't why they couldnt come up that
I think instead of that horrendous looking PS5 Remote console, the better way would be exactly a PS Vita with better screen battery + storage plus make it more powerful. I would get that console for sure.
Yeah I’m loving my vita.
I thought all Vita connoisseurs, aficionados and collectors knew the Vita 1000 OLED crushes the slim's LED.
LOL. To be fair OLED is better than LED but not by much (From what I can see), plus the SD card and charger makes a big difference to some as well as housing colors
intresting that Sony always allowed us to swap Sata drives in there PS3, PS4 and PS5 but had Stupid special Memorycards for Vita. During the PSP era they had the own memorysick dus system that was shared with there Sony Ericsson Phones competing with Nokia and SD cards. (before SD cards became the golden standard)
Yes, that's true ! I remember that even some of the early cameras from Sony had the Memory sticks (hated it)

😂
Psvita had so much potential , sony just didn't realize it 😢.
That's true. Vita was abandoned too early
Vita is so underrated. I’ve used mine regularly since 2014
Yesss
The Vita had so much potential. The memory card and back touch panel killed the Vita. The back touch panel was more of a gimmick than being practical. I'm sure developers had an annoying time trying to make games to support it. The Vita could have been the PS Portal of it's day. They remote play back then sucked, especially with the lack of the trigger buttons.
Cards for sure were a pain, back panel could've been good if it wasn't the main selling point from marketing perspective. I feel like Sony just tried to make a PSP with some extra whistles without thinking much of games unfortunately.
i realise when i can mod my ps vita is great but there some thing to consider. the psp games are nicee and play at 100% but there other non official retro handheld that play them at better resolution whit like 3x more pixel and it sharper image. now some of ps1 game are outdate like FF series that are upgrade exp ff9 on android got better visual and improvement on the games. but ps vita is great if you want to play ps vita games that did not come to the west. whit the mod i can repatch and play it in english. exp trails series and other jrpg
That is a big discussion that a lot of people have. On one hand someone wants to have an all rounder console to play everything, some people want to have that "authentic" experience. I do play some games on my android phone and they run great, but sometimes I want to play on the Vita. The emulation handhelds are good for some people. It is a hard question
I’m getting a vita tomorrow
That's great ! Hope you enjoy it !
Vita 4 life 🤘😎
❤ PSVita I have a bunch of games very close to 40 they have good games is because the lack of the memory and the memory card suspensive kill the system but the PS Vita is good is your play arena games or is you emulated is good for PS 1PSPOPS vita games
Unavailable in my city. If available, super expensive
That's unfortunate. In this case I look for friends of friends who travel and might see something in a used game store abroad, and if it is cheaper, ask them to get it
I still can't believe it, the PlayStation Store for PS VITA is still active today, for a handheld console that failed to sell this is truly incredible.
Sadly and also weird, the Nintendo 3DS, the handheld console that was much more successful than the PS VITA, had to lose the Nintendo eShop which should not have been closed due to its popularity.
That's true! Everyone has their own opinion about companies, but from my experience Sony listens to their customers more than Nintendo.
@ilya_played Seriously? People were literally BEGGING Sony to lower the prices of their proprietary cards...but they didn't listen.
I have a PSP and Vita. I love them both.
@@wleon4068I'm not saying Sony always listens (unfortunately) and there is no "good" corporation but Sony always seemed just a tiny bit better. But the cards were pain, they put their memory sticks everywhere, from PSP to cameras...
I've only ever hacked 3 consoles.. my PSP, PSVita and my Wii U. Maybe I'll hack my 3DS one day.. and my PS3 completely crapped out on me and erased all of my games. So I might as well hack it and restore my games that way 🤷
With the closure of the eshop it does make sense to hack the 3DS. Sorry to hear about the PS3, I hate re-modding the consoles or restoring the games on them. it just takes too much time
Exactly. And I have to say.. hacking my PSP and now my Vita has been a great experience. Frustrating.. but great 😅 I've had to remod it a number of times due to some kind of error or system hiccup. But when it works it works. And yeah, the PS3 is collecting dust at the moment. I have an original PS4 with PT still on it but the HDMI cord shorted out. That's something I wish I could experience again 😅
Hhmmm weird everyone talks about how the OLED panel is superior than the lcd
The blacks are for sure great, I guess what I wanted to say is the overall 1st gen vita vs 2nd gen. Plus Vita's OLED panel is not what you expect when you talk about OLED in 2023
@@ilya_played I agree OLED now is way better, I also heard anbernic is using psvita OLED for their RG505
thanks to vita i love uncharted
The vita exclusive library is just too small.
For sure, there are not a lot of exclusive games for Vita, but if we take in to account vita + psp libraries, it is getting better
I used to want one, but now I want to buy a used android phone to emulate everything up to ps2 wii and GameCube and maybe switch at some point!!!!
That is a good thing to do ! I did emulate psp on my s21 and it ran great.
About switch, I think Yuzu is making its way to Android pretty soon
@@ilya_played it’s crazy to think that phones and other devices have come this far!!!!! I’m not dissing the psp or vita in any way. I’m just used to an android device and wanted to play higher end emulation.
@@georgenorthcutt6774 Yes, it is crazy to see where phones are right now. You can get any Bluetooth controller and a holder for phone and get a better experience than PSP or Vita in some cases.
Old consoles are more of a nostalgic thing in 2023
@@ilya_played very true! I have an old wii console but the disc drive failed. I’ve thought about fixing the wii and getting wii games to backup on the wii.
CRAZY saying the slim looks better than OLED vita Lost me 🤨
I just can't resist the colors available for the slim version 😅
No its 2 to 7gb per game
I was saying average is 2 to 3gb as only a couple of Vita titles go over 3gigs. Yes borderlands was around 5gb with dlcs and PSO2 was even more but 90% of the games on vita don't go over 3gigs
Everyone is talking about this because the new PlayStation system is coming soon
For sure many are interested in Vita because of that. That wasn't the reason behind the video tho :D Just good timing
Your android phone plays way more than psp vita including GameCube, wii ps2 and switch
For sure, the argument works better if we compare it with PlayStation portal lol, but, in my S21 Ultra video I do talk about psp emulation briefly
It’s a shame the vita is more popular now than when it launched 😢 that’s why they lost interest… it just wasn’t profitable enough and sold way less than psp
