The Vita helped me so much when i was in AIT back in 2022. When i needed something to take my mind off of training this helped. I took this to my annual army training in the summer this console keep me sane. So many good games, had my music and movies. PSP, PSX, RetroArch and Vita. I recommend this highly. I also go my PS Vita from Japan 👍
Pros of a modded Vita: - 98% of the PSP library is backwards compatible with no issues using Adrenaline - no region locks. - 85-90% of the PSX library is backwards compatible with no issues using Adrenaline - no region locks. - Modern SD card support to store and backup all Vita files and games/roms using the SD2Vita adapter. - Software level fixes for battery (battery fixer 3.0 app). - Access to fan made translation patches for Japan only PSV/PSP/PSX games. - Custom fan made emulators to run some GBA, NES and SNES games. - Overclocking to bypass lag in heavier games. - It can still connect to multiplayer servers and obtain trophies with no ban risk. Cons of a modded Vita: - ???
@@dimepia123 Depends. The only big difference is that OLED only supports a proprietary USB cable while the Slim supports standard USB cables. Also, the Slim has 1 more hour of battery because the screen is less demanding. These are the only differences so I went with a Slim and a 128gb sd card but if the screen is important to you, then go OLED.
You can overclock your vita when modded too. So some games like Borderlands 2 play quite a bit better and hit more playable framerates. Love the system to death, really solid games on both psp and vita.
Yuppppppp.....Im Playing Mhfu Through adrenaline R8ght Now With A Blunt And Some Tea 🚬 Its Awesome ..My Fav Handheld OF ALL TIMEEEEE LOVE MY VITA 1000 feel As Though i dont need A Other System Bro Vita Is Only Sytem i own and play Its Hellla Underated

I still love to watch new videos related to the ps vita, especially your video. I enjoy it so much! My Vita arrived on January 30th after watching so many recommendations on getting one. I’m so lucky and blessed to get my hands on a good model, all thanks to this type of content I see. It’s a hell of a beast and a timeless device. Keep up the good content❤👍🏻
Thank you for all the work you're doing atm bro, love the channel. Been trying to convince my friends to get a PSP1000 cos they love to emu on their phones but complain about so much shit. After watching the video, I'm still on the fence with the Vita, but the console hacker in me needs to play around with the Vita, especially given how easy it is to do.
I love my Vita. Own it since 5 years and still use it next to the switch. Played so many gems on it like the translated HD-Remasters of Trails in the Sky 1-3, Crossbell 1+2 and Cold Steel 1+2 - such an amazing device and the size is perfect too.
I'm a simple man. I see Sam upload, I get to watching! Great video, seeing that MvC on there REALLY makes me want to get one and I never knew about the Vita Game to SD card!
Really great video Sam! I got the PS Vita when it originally came out. I remember playing the demo for Uncharted Golden Abyss a bunch before i got games for it. Some of my other favorites are Littlebigplanet & Gravity Rush.
Hi! I just ordered a second hand psvita and this will be my first ever handheld console. I just have some questions I hope you may answer, how do I prevent bloating my battery or make the battery life longer? Any tips you can give me to make my experience better playing psvita? Thank you and sorry for my english since it's my second language, I hope you understand!
I randomly found my PS Vita charger again last night and by pure chance I ended up spending the night putting Enso on there and figuring out how the basics work. It was really easy and super fun, can't recommend it enough.
I love my hacked Vita!! Every time I play it, I can spend hours playing games from Different Generations that I never got to play or even heard of!?!? It’s awesome!!
I didn’t even have to hack mine, and I love it just so much. So much so in fact that I also bought a second mint one from JP. There’s so much stock over there it’s actually easy to find one at a really good price with a 64GB card
Only other thing worth mentioning about Homebrew enabling on a PS Vita is the ability to overclock. Overclocking the PS Vita resolves those frame rate issues on retail PS Vita games!
jak and daxter is one of the worst ports and even with overclock it averages like 23-25 fps with city scenarios but a notable example is Most Wanted where you can set resolution close to native and overclock to achieve a mostly stable 30
As someone that owns both the slim and oled models, the oled screen is better provided it is in good condition. The problem is with time the OLED panels degrades and ages, slowly losing brightness could potentially burn in etc, and this is more common due to it being an early oled display. The Slim is probably a safer pick in this regard with its conventional LCD which still looks good. You have to deal with stick drift but they are cheap and easy to replace on the slim model.
I really regret selling mine like 4 years ago. I had the OLED model and I loved it so much, I don’t even remember why I got rid of it, but I regret it.
Recently got my first Vita and switch, and gotta say, I ran to get PS store gift cards to load it up. While the switch is neat, a lot of the games I already played on Wii U. Where as the vita has exclusives, as well as HD remasters or some of the best PS2 games. If the switch adds more GameCube it’ll be a more even comparison. I’m currently nervous about home brewing it while the PS store is still active, but I’m loving it enough that I’ll probably buy a second one to mod out and go crazy.
LOL I remember getting a 3DS after hearing about the Vita's mem card issue. For me it was damn scandal. I was so surprised when the 3DS came with a standard SD card. Literally laughed out loud. It was great.
Great video ! Can the OLED model of Vita be homebrewed ? And can you still remote play from the PS4 with a homebrewed Vita ? Thx a lot and keep up the good work !
I know half of the appeal of the Vita is that its a handheld, but if anyone is really into the scene, I HIGHLY suggest picking up a cheap PSTV. Having the vita as a proper console experience with a big screen and nice controller goes a long way with quite a few of the titles on the system.
I was thinking about buying a vita. But i ended up saving up a more money and holding out for an Odin Lite, mostly cause i wanted to play psp as well as gamecube and wii games. The streaming isnt half bad either with PS Play and Steam Link. Havent tried Game Pass tho.
Just picked up a vita and a couple games for $20 😅 and have been looking into mods etc think I'm gonna give it a go only thing I've ever done was some mods to spin tires years ago
Just got one like a week ago best thing I've bought in a very long time. People in Jap know how to take care of their stuff too so it came almost new looking. The things you can do on it is cool and I'm just getting started. I even use Emudeck for windows and moonlight so I can play ps3, 360, gamecube, and everything emudeck can do. I ordered a grip with L and R to make that better but so far streaming to it isn't bad at all doesn't lag unless I'm on the other side of the house with the door shut (easy fix I doo doo with the door open now) I've only dced once and that was trying to set up moonlight. I can't believe all this thing can do it really was a head of it's time to bad they dropped it soon after it came out that's why I never got one because even Sony was saying it failed. I know Sony's Q thing isn't like a vita and for steaming over but man if can mod that thing as easy as the vita I'd get one that's one thing I've always wanted was just a real controller with a screen slapped in it. Handheld is cool but the sticks just suck no matter what handheld it is.
Planning on homebrewing my old vita or picking up a new one to homebrew, depending on price. Apparently there's an english translation hack of persona 2 eternal punishment so once i finish innocent sin I'll be jumping right on that!
And let's not forget that with a hacked PSVita you don't need a VitaTV at all, because you can stream all your games into your computer and play on a big screen. I played the entirety of Gravity Rush on my PC monitor through the Vita XD.
I used to really enjoy the Vita but honestly found little reason to keep it once the Switch came out as most things had been ported onto either that or the PS4. Sony dropping support for the console so fast and those awful memory cards really didn't help and actively put me off buying any further Sony consoles. Still, I can play Little King's Story if I don't want to set up the Wii so there's that
Yeah luckily a LOT of publishers have put their games on different consoles rather than letting them be stuck on the vita. With the rumors of Sony releasing another handheld, I really hope they’ve learned some lessons from the vita
if you don't have VitaGrafix Configurator check it out it's amazing it lets you config games it supports you can cap fps at 30 and lower the rez save the config go back in game and it's better than just running the overclock alone. You can also cap games at 60 fps and up the video rez to make games better. It supports a lot of games too really helps with god of war, dexter games, and the rachet games.
I definitely regret not picking up the Vita. Especially since I loved the psp. If I ever run to the PS Vita I'm for sure going to buy it. Really great video Sam!
Thanks for the kind words! Cloud gaming doesn't interest me too much but I do think remote play is cool! I like to play my PS5 remotely on my iphone from time to time in my bed with the backbone controller
I love my vita i have a 1000, 2000 and pstv i hacked my 2000 and pstv and both have 1tb sd cards in them. I have every emulator available including dreamcast and n64 with full rom sets its amazing, especially being able to play mvc2 anytime and anywhere i want
I'm jealous!!! I currently got 12 but the daily player I always used had a 1tb also. Sadly it was stolen. I got 3 with 512sd cards and 4 with 256sd cards. I'm almost outta room on my new daily player with 512sd. I'd like to get a 64 memory card and a 1 tb SD in it also!! I got almost every color and some I have 2red 2 blue 2 orange 2 artic white and 2 black/khaki but I was paying 100-125$ for one's practically brand new. Nothing included though, not even the charger. I ended up buying 4 chargers though. I originally bought 17 but gave a few to best friends because I wanted people to game with. And 3were stolen including my daily. It was blue and orange & looked great. I mixed a couple of colors together. They look great. Anyways, all my friends absolutely LOVE them. My one friend had 3 not at the same time but they were always getting stolen from him. He looked for almost 6 months in stores for them. I felt awful so I gave him one that I hooked up w/512 SD clear protector and case and charger. Plays it ALL THE TIME!!!
There's more choice from Japan too. I got a Japanese white 1000 and a Cosmic Red 1000 - only available in Japan. The Japanese seller was good, the Vitas were perfect. You can choose to buy boxed or unboxed to make it cheaper.
I’ve modded the anolog pocket, 3ds (failed doing it cause region lock) and ps vita. Ps vita was so easy and has amazing titles. Don’t recommend using it for retro emulation, it works but save files are so hard to create for every game. I recommend using vita only for psp and other ps titles. There are other consoles that are better for retro emulation like the analog pocket. My 2 cents.
Don’t forget, you can remote play on your ps3 and ps4 with the vita. Still a little restrictive, and Sony removed the ability to transfer content, but nothing a little homebrewing can’t fix.
I've never owned a Vita so I haven't a clue where to start or how expensive it would be. It would be nice to see a refresh for it though I've only ever used one for a few minutes to play in a demo at Fries but it would be cool to have one today and play through all those awesome games. I've never had a playstation anything so I never got to play any of those games. I've seen my cousins play them and stuff but I never played any of them myself, the one I want to play are the Ape Escape games :D those always looked funny and goofy
@@samssidequest Oh no way! Yes! I just bought a PSVita 1000 cause I found a good deal for a hundred 110 bucks excellent condition :D and I got a memory card and the little adaptor! I am so stoked! You convinced to take the plunge and try this 😁 Ape Escape here I come! Any recommendations on what I should play? I haven't played any of the library at all.
When I buy a Vita from Japan, will the settings be in Japanese or in English? Because if it's in Japanese language, like I expect, how do I turn it on to English without studying Japanese first?
Separate subject, sort of, but as one would suspect, for those interested in buying physical Vita games, they are a lot more expensive than their equivalent on other consoles. For those who want to buy digital games, the PS store for Vita is still alive-and-kicking. You can buy Vita, PSP, PSOne games, and more from there. Not relevant for those who are going to hack theirs, but just some info for those who aren't doing that. The digital version is nearly always a lot cheaper than the physical Vita carts at this point.
I should get my vita repaired. I took it to Italy and we had to go through ... France. They opened my luggage and slammed it down and cracked my vita screen. It was a limited edition one.
What are some of your favorite Vita games?!
Some of mine are Persona 4 Golden, Tearaway and Hotline Miami 🔥
call of duty
attack on titan
Warriors Orochi 3
Soul sacrifice delta is hands down the best vita exclusive for me its a shame it wasn't ported to ps3 or ps4

There are other consoles that are better for retro emulation like the analog pocket. My 2 cents.
I have a 1TB sd card on my modded vita. My 18 hours+ flight to Singapore felt like a breeze. I arrived before running out of things to play lol
Where do you get a SD card holders for the VETA
Don’t forget, you can remote play on your ps3 and ps4 with the vita.
Still a little restrictive, and Sony removed the ability to transfer content, but nothing a little homebrewing can’t fix.
With Moonlight homebrew app, you can also remote play your PC games. As an AMD user, you can use Sunshine instead and it works great!
your psp menu looks not blurry, what did you do for that ?
I've never owned a Vita so I haven't a clue where to start or how expensive it would be. It would be nice to see a refresh for it though I've only ever used one for a few minutes to play in a demo at Fries but it would be cool to have one today and play through all those awesome games. I've never had a playstation anything so I never got to play any of those games. I've seen my cousins play them and stuff but I never played any of them myself, the one I want to play are the Ape Escape games :D those always looked funny and goofy
I loved playing ape escape growing up! Hopefully you can play it sometime in the future🔥
@@piplup10203854 WELCOME TO VITA ISLAND BROTHER!!!!!!! TRY MURAMSA REBIRTH GOD OF WAR COLLECTION GRAVITY RUSH

When I buy a Vita from Japan, will the settings be in Japanese or in English? Because if it's in Japanese language, like I expect, how do I turn it on to English without studying Japanese first?
Answer: Yes
What site did you purchase it from japan?
Persona 4 Golden OST 😌😌😌
What site did you get your ps vita?
Does anyone know the fighting MARVEL game he is playing? Is it CAPCOM v MARVEL and is that for VITA or homebrew?
Separate subject, sort of, but as one would suspect, for those interested in buying physical Vita games, they are a lot more expensive than their equivalent on other consoles. For those who want to buy digital games, the PS store for Vita is still alive-and-kicking. You can buy Vita, PSP, PSOne games, and more from there. Not relevant for those who are going to hack theirs, but just some info for those who aren't doing that. The digital version is nearly always a lot cheaper than the physical Vita carts at this point.
Just pirate them all XD.
This sounds great, but can you still earn trophies and play online if it's hacked?
Got 2 systems from Japan... came so fast! like 3 days fedex!
How much did you end up paying for yours?
does game data save when it's hacked? I don't want to play a game and then have to restart every time
Kept mine from back in the day, now running Retroarch, it’s nice but memory is an issue..
Where did you purchase this?
How to order PS Vita from Japan? Please guide
Dude I want a ps vita!!!!! Aaahh
The moonlight client is updated.
Ok question, why buy one when I have a New 3DS and I could go for a retro console for less money and that can play PS2 games?
How do you remap the buttons
I have a steam deck still watching vita videos because it’s still had a game I never played and want to uncharted golden abyss
Love me some steam deck:)
How much is the psvita 😊
I've been thinking about buying a Vita. But I have a hard time justifying the cost, or the need for one, when I own a Steam Deck.
The biggest memory card was more expensive than the system itself. Was the only reason I didn't buy one at the time.
I should get my vita repaired. I took it to Italy and we had to go through ... France. They opened my luggage and slammed it down and cracked my vita screen. It was a limited edition one.
What game is at time stamp - 1:30?
