I highly recommend anyone with a vita laying around to mod it. Recently modded my vita its been pretty fun looking threw all the homebrew apps, downloading and playing games.( btw great video can't wait to see the updates on your vita )

@@Clarke2316 It’s surprising easy watch retro game corps for a easy to follow guide on the whole process. there might be some other hard things but that only comes down when you’re patching games and adding a english patches to games. Or downloading and making sure all homebrew games work but there’s probably a guide for all those things.

I've had it for around a week now and have been downloading some psvita games, tons of n64, nes, snes, gameboy, and some psp/psx games. I still have over 120gb left but I'm not done yet! Still lots of things I want to download and I'm glad I got the 200gb!

@@Renvaar1989 Make that extra mile and get the 512 GB, you won't regreat it. After the first 3 days i had 300 GB of stuff and i still have to go through half of the ps1 library, and i've only done psp and ps vita so far.

I personally think Killzone is bit overrated in terms of being the best shooter for the Vita (many people along with you claim this). I'm personally a fan of Unit 13 - controls and graphics are amazing and fit the Vita much better in my opinion! Great video.
I also like Unit 13 a lot - I actually remember playing it back in 2014 and it's definitely one of the best shooters on the system!
Love Unit 13, I bought it at launch, and still today I find new ways to finish the game, best cover shooter imo...

I miss my vita. Nintendo switch is really fun but it’s just something about the vita! That background music while your scrolling is so soothing
yeah man. I actually got a switch lite before this vita and it lacked all personality. Had to go back to the vita

Nice collection man, I have two vitas one for my US account and UK account. I have 80 ps1 games, 23 psp games, 30 vita games. It's a good system shame it failed tho.

Sony made a Big mistake with the ps vita it can still hold it's own in 2022 and beyond

I really need to get a spare PS Vita for modding. At this point, Sony forgets the PS Vita exists. Unfortunately, the PS Vita is still on the chopping block considering the impeding 3ds eShop shutdown.

I have a Japanese copy of final fantasy X. I don't really know why I have this? I think that I ordered a PS Vita, for a friend & it came with it... Aka thats exactly what happened. I didn't hear you say it but you need Neon Chrome. It's an overhead cyberpunk shooter and feels alittle like Hotline Miami.
Also hearing you say Jet Set Radio gives Dreamcast vibes is Hilarious, well yeah since it is a Dreamcast game originally. 🤣

Nice dude I've got a 1tb SD card in my vita and its the best thing ever! I have about 600 vita games and full romsets for every emulator available including the n64 and dreamcast one!
that's awesome dude. hows the n64 emulator? I've tried to play the Animal Crossing N64 version, but there are always weird screen glitches. Are all games supported?

I don't use flycast at the moment.
@@rlheffner724 yeah I use flycast all the time to play marvel vs capcom 2. Flycast is only version 1 tho so crashes are to be expected but with overclocking I can play a few matches before it crashes

I have a non hacked original and a hacked 2000 model more recently. Didn't think I would feel this way but I like the 2000 model a bit better even though it's slightly cheaper made. Lighter weight, better battery life, easier to clean, and the screen really isn't that noticable of a downgrade from the OLED.
same, I bought a mint condition PSVita Slim recently and the screen isn't that bad as people say it is, as for the overall looks, despite being thinner and losing the glossy finish it still looks good regardless
Want that white grip, here in the philippines it cost like $20. I have my vita since 2014 and didn't have any problem on it's control no drift or anything like that except the rear touch it's really annoying when a game use it like GoW, but my switch I have it like 4 years and having problem with the face button, triggers, joycon lock and worst the tablet rail.

Great collection bro. How do you get the PSP games to show in bubbles. I have to be in adrenaline/xmb to play the psp games but not on the same screen as the psvita bubbled games
I have the system jail broken and have vita shell and all the apps I’m running into problems getting the actual games and roms. RUclipsrs don’t mention where to actually get them( I understand why) but I’m having a hell of a time. Only thing I was able to get was homebrew type games and only a few of them work so far

I just hacked mine and love it. Psvita makes it the easiest console to mod. Plus you have any game avalable to you. You can also make it into a PSP or any other older console with retro arch.

I’m wondering about how the SD2VITA works with physical games. I don’t wanna worry about setting up a PSN account when the Vita Store may or may not be shut down soon.
If you want to play physical games, you can back them up and store them on an SD2VITA, however you will need to have to store it on a memory card first, and then transfer it to the SD2VITA. Alternatively, you can install a PSVSD in the Sim Card slot, if you have a 3G PS Vita.

Been wanting a molded vita but don't wanna mess my only one up. I have the OG model. Can you mod the vita and still have access to the vita store and games you already bought from Sony and still be able to earn trophies and stuff?
you will be able to use the story and earn trophies. It is very hard to mess up the vita, as long as you follow the vita hacks guide, you will be fine.

Yo, I got a question! I'm thinking about picking up the Vita for the modding scene but I'm concerned about the ban - do you earn trophies on your main account? I've heard that you can get banned when playing and earning trophies from games that weren't released on cartridge and weren't bought from PS Store. Do you know anything about it? Thanks!
Sorry for late reply - I do get trophies on my main account and I have never been banned. I have done this for quite a while. Even games downloaded through PKGj, I have never been banned. This is most likely because Sony didn't anticipate mods for Vita and Didn't have any system to detect it, like the PS3 did. There has not ever been a recorded ban for modding on PSVita, so I would say it's safe.
I'm debating getting a vita or psp. Do you know if all psp games run well on vita? I want to relive the old ratchet & clank and smackdown vs raw games as well as just the 2000's gaming era. I got a psp in 2009 and it was the best thing I've ever had but I've seen videos on the vita and I don't know if I should get that instead. Great video by the way
Pretty much all PSP games run in Adrenaline, after you mod it. Ratchet and Clank and Smackdown games will run well on the system, and you can actually run PSP games in a higher resolution than the PSP itself. Along with the added Vita games, I would definitely say get a Vita and mod it instead.

@@billystyran the Vita is a PsP on steroids, when you get a Vita, mod it, through adrenaline all PsP games work perfectly, some has patches for higher resolutions, some has patches to use the second analog stick natively, others you can set to use it.
I have a modded vita with adrenaline, but I think if you want to play mostly psp games a psp is just better. Playing psp games on psvita is like playing vita games on a phone, a psp gives you a much more authentic and nostalgic feeling. The vita works really well for its games.
If you need a 3G vita I recommend the PSVSD over the sd2vita.

What’s up? I love the content man, just had a few questions (I’m sorry if you’ve answered this)
1. If I jailbreak my vita, can I still play my normal games on cartridge?
2. If I jailbreak my vita can I unjailbreak it?
3. Will I not get banned from the ps store if I do jailbreak it?
1. You can play normal games, however if you use an SD2VITA adapter, you'll lose access to the cartridge slot.
2. If you reset the Vita, all the Jailbreak software gets removed - so yes.
3. There is a chance you will be banned from PSN - HOWEVER, there have been no instances of people being banned for having a modded Vita and I have personally used my PSN account for almost a year without any Ban.

the vita version of lego batman 3 doesnt have a open world unlike the ps3 and ps4 it also has missing characters and you can only explore batcave and watch tower :(
What size micro SD card do you recommend for sd2vita? Also how did you get kingdom hearts I couldn't find it on pkgj?
i recommend no fewer than a 128gb sd card, but if you want to store many games, at least 256gb. For some PSP games, PKGj won't have all of them and you will need to dump a game copy.
What would be your top 10 indie games for the vita?
to list a few, probably Iron Snout, OlliOlli 1+2, Reverie, Home, spelunky, Fez, Steamworld 1+2, Runner2

Not very active but doable during the right hours and depends on the game. If you buy a used vita, it'll probably cost around $200 with the sd card included. Free.

also, regarding installing emulators on the vita, is it fairly straight forward? or do you have to jailbreak it first. Dont know if thats the right term lol but you know what i mean :p
You need to jailbreak to use an SD2VITA or get emulators. Installing emulators is very easy - just a matter of installing files into the Vita. The SD2Vita is a great addition - the only downside is that, if you have a ton of games installed, rebuilding your database can take 10-15 minutes.
