The portal is a handheld accessory for the ps5, not a standalone device. its not aimed towards the mobile gamers or fans of the old psp and vita its legit for people that cant use their tv that the ps5 is hooked up to. for example; girlfriend/wife or the kids are watching the tv in the living that the ps5 is hooked up to, and your in another room playing through the portal. If you live alone and have your ps5 in your own room to a personal tv. then the portal is not aimed towards you.

I do believe mobile gaming beat it, even if the quality of mobile gaming is subpar compare to it, the stream of content is enough to make mobile gamers busy & ignore the vita. Plus if they come from hacked psp (from which they get games for free), they will stay on platform which give them free games. On the vita they need expensive memory card which can't be use on different device & games need to be bought. I even believe if ps4 never have f2play games like fortnite & the like, it will fail along with the vita. Remember the WiiU also fail at about the same timeline. Everybody ignore the Android mania & it's impact back then. If genshin impact (or similar) back then is on vita, things may pick up but there is never viral games like that on it.
