      Hi Matt, thanks! Yeah you're damn right, I didn't sleep for a week before finding that madness!! I think we checked the measures like 50+ times for two whole days before drilling those holes!! Scaaaaary!! Lol lol
      But so much worthy man! Speakers changed radically their sound, it was like magics. In-wall all the way!

      Would you come to Los Angeles to build a studio?
      I'm looking for a trusted team to build my control room, but I haven't found anybody I trust to drill holes in my SCM110As. I want mine soffit mounted too. You guys looked very confident doing it.

    Hi, thanks for the video I am about to flush mount a similar sized pair of studio mains into my Control room front wall. My speakers are a custom built by a company in the UK, they are 700 x 700 x 350. Would it be possibly to get the contact details of the acoustician that advised/ consulted you with the process of mounting your ATC's
    Regards

    Hey can you tell us what kind of decouplers this were?

  • @MatthiasVanEnte

    Hi, impressive studio build, very nice studio! I have a question regarding the ATC speakers, if you don't mind me asking: did you use the active speakers and take out the amplifiers or is there a version of the speakers that alsready comes with the speakers and amps separately? And one more question regarding the runded edges of the speakers: is there a way to remove the rounded frame so that the fronts of the speakers are completely flat? This is the way I always see them when soffit-mounted. The rounded edges seem to be used when the speakers are set up on speaker stands. Thanks so much for you help!

    • @KarmalunaStudios
      @KarmalunaStudios  7 месяцев назад

      Hi! Our reseller (Funky Junk) took care of ordering directly at ATC the version with separate amplifiers and flat frames.

      @@KarmalunaStudios thanks for your reply. So the panels are like replacement of elastomer? to decouple more?
      And if you dont mind, What brand/kind of decoupler you use? thank you..amazing gear you have btw!

    • @KarmalunaStudios
      @KarmalunaStudios  3 года назад

      @@mixbyJM Thank you! No, panels are needed to create mass around the speaker-boxes themselves (the optimal would have been to create a case of concrete all around the speakers). Decouplers are working amazingly but are not an easy thing to select. They must be calculated by your acoustic engineer. They need to cut off some special frequencies and you need to pick them accordingly to the specificics of your speakers and the case you have built around them. The email of my acoustic engineer is in the description, just in case you want to contact him. Thanks again for your support and good luck with producing music!

    Can i ask how big youre room was before building, how big the room is now and distance between the speakers?
    Kind regards

    • @KarmalunaStudios
      @KarmalunaStudios  3 года назад +2

      Sure! The empty room was around 21 ft in length and 16 ft wide, 9 ft high. We lost around 30% of its volume with the sound treatment.
      The distance between the two speakers' acoustic axes is 8'-6" (around 2.6 mt).
      Thanks for your support!

      @KarmalunaStudios  2 года назад

      @@alieustiansamateh6401 No, not at all, they deliver some amazing and very linear bass, after being in-wall mounted. But when I first tested the speakers just out of the box, on some open-air stands, then yes, I was a bit surprised by the lack of bass.
