Agree my friend but compromises had to be made for her and neighbors. Mainly just spoiler (her only) and catback. But it’s all good. She didn’t care at all about intake and BPT (Graham) custom tune!
I installed the Noble version and had some similar troubles. I put the whole wing together and had someone hold it while bolting to the trunk. I almost karate chopped the wing at one point but it’s on and holding strong. I went with the black wing on a white VB.
Haha dude it's definitely a challenge. If I had to do this alone I would definitely be yelling. Now that I've done it I know for sure I can do this again in half the time or less.

as sexy as it is, i really think subaru dropped the ball by not offering the oem sti wing as an accessory option for the wrx. Like, if you wanted to you should be able to factory build the car and have the option to add the wing. It's such a bummer too because you have to settle on aftermarket parts to which quality will vary. Ik you can import the actual wing from japan and what not but still, i wouldn't mind paying for it here in the states. love the vids, my favorite wrx channel, love your car, dont stop!
I really appreciate it! I'm pretty sure you can order an OEM STIbwin even in the US unofficially especially now that the 24s are coming with them in AU. I knew dealerships last year that were importing them for people to install from Japan.

Hey Awais, would you know if this wing uses the same holes as a Noble V1 wing? My wing whistles bad and I'm considering buying another unless I need to drill MORE holes...
IIR sells a kit that removes that 'whistle' the wing makes. It's called the "Noble Whistle B Gone Kit" and it's made specifically for the issue you have. It's only $30. The kit uses a PPF film to cover the indents on the bottom side of the wing. Easy to install.
I did this with the original have to move paper template from side to side.. it was a real .p.i.t.a but i did it love it but next time id pay someone else personally lol 😆 😅 😂
Just my opinion. I hate the look of sti wing on vb. There is no VB Sti. There is no Sti wing for the vb. The rear of the vb is already busy. This just makes it look like it's trying too hard. But if you like it. Good for you.
@@jkim8282 since the 22 was first released a STI wing was available in Japan. The wing is just a piece of plastic It is not what makes a STI ASTI. Also now all the TRs available overseas come standard with the wing. I understand it's a pretty subjective thing but the STI wing has never truly been just STI considering Subaru offered it as an option on the WRX if you wanted it.
@@jumpnjack808 the bit i had has the pointed tip but what was happening was my bits were cheap. I am not a professional and don't have all the right tools sometimes. The point is to show you if I can do it poorly then you can for sure do it!

Looks good. All now to do is to remove the stock lip spoiler and plug the holes.
Yea that's my only problem. Most of us have premiums or above so it has the trunk lid lip. When I do my wing I'll swap for a base trunk.
