Should we make a lesson video for the cowbell part next?
How about a lesson covering Buck's fills and the solo? ;)
😆 Saturday night live Will Ferrel
Ima need a little more cow bell
Can we get a tab for the cowbell part?
Yes
Look you and me are the same. We put our pants on one leg at a time. Once I put my pants on though, I make hit records. I need more cowbell!
I was going to ask for a cowbell tutorial! And it is necessary. Good job!
So very well done on this intro and demo of how to play certainly one of the best and most recognisable riffs in music! Love this!
I’ve never seen the animated fretboard before. For me, it makes a huge difference. Corny cowbell references aside this is a fantastic lesson. Bloody brilliant!
💀🤘
I say yes to the Solo!!
Would love to learn the solo Nick. Thanks for the lesson.
OH!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE, DO SHOW US HOW TO PLAY THAT FANTASTOC SOLO RIFF!!! THIS IS AN AWESOME TUNE TO PRACTICE!!!!
THANK YOU, NICK!!! MUCH APPRECIATED!!!...
THANK YOU, SWEETWATER!!!
One of favorite all time song
Ive heard that in so many movies
iconic !
Came across this video and felt like you showed me this just the other day. Picked up the gutiar for the 1st time in months. Thanks Nick! Be in soon for more lessons. Keep rocking stay safe.
Thank you NICK. Love This!!!
Excellent! One of my favorites.
Thank you for breaking this down. I think I may be able to actually teach myself this.
You are truly awesome....I now can play this right and proud. Thank you so much. 😊
Love your lessons Nick!
Excellent!
Great job Nick. This lesson has to be my favorite YT lesson!
Really good job. Great teaching
Awesome guitar lessons
Good to see you, great work, Nick!
😎🤘
Seen other tutorials (and they're great) but never seen one that breaks it down simply like this with the power chords (other tutorials seem to use barre chords). Awesome lesson. Thanks so much!
Great lesson!!!
Great lesson! Thanks!
Awesome, Nick! Would love to learn the solo part from you!
You are awesome guys!)
Nick is just tooooo cool! this was funny at the beginning!
Great video; maybe the best guitar tutorial I’ve seen on YT. Yes, please, on the solo...
Great cowbell!!!!
Wise man Love it !!
One of our all time favourites of all time there, mate.
Still love that song, their best one !
I don't kmow why it took me so long to find this vid, you explained it so well and it really stuck with me. You know what I'll be noodling this weekend. Thanks bunches.
I was fortunate to see Blue Oyster Cult at Mohegan Sun in CT and Buck was playing an interesting looking "Swiss cheese" guitar. That's how I first discovered Vigier guitars and if anyone is worthy besides Sir Bumblefoot of such an incredible instrument, it is definitely Sir Dharma.
The Swiss cheese guitar is a Steinberger. In fact Buck calls it the "cheeseberger"
I may already know everything in this video, but I still enjoy watching Nick teach it.
Between the cowbell intro and the album toss, this might be Nick's silliest video to date. :)
Great detailed lesson thank you
It would be great if notes were on fretboard
Don’t fear the Cowbell!!!
I'm from Brazil, thank you ma brotha
I have that same guitar, with 500T and 496R ceramic zebra pickups I got from Sweetwater...
Omg! You have now truly released the Kraken. Enormous thanks Nick!
How about that solo lesson Nick!!
Yes, solo please. Very nice lesson!
Lol kool song I seen blue oyster cult in my town my town don’t have much concerts so it was kind of kool
Yes! Solo please!
Solo PUHLEEZE!!!!!
Also…for about 15 seconds the lefty thing was weird…and then i dodnt even notice. Great job Nic!
Oh ya, SOLO !!! Its a super tasty one.
18:23 - I think this is the first time I've ever seen someone teach that part correctly on RUclips.
Great lesson! Please do the solo!
😎
Great lesson, one of the things you don't point out that is great for beginner to intermediate players is your picking pattern. I know you mention it but demo it would be great. I myself play it three down picks and up on the G string.
Great lesson with fret board
It helps tremendously however if you could write notes on string it wil be so much better.
Thanks so much great lesson on you tube with nice details
Would love to learn the solo. Cheers
Yes do it
Please do alesson on the solo!!!
Yes. more solos.
👍👍👍
The solo please !
Yeah, do the solo. Even better get Buck Dharma on with you to show it!
What KEY do you tune the CowBell ?
Needs more cowbell
Not sure if I should mirror what is showing, Left to Right ?
Yes solo solo ! : )
😎👍
Solo!!!!!!
Im gonna say it Dont fear the Grim Reaper
🏆💀🏆
Guess what? I got a fever. And the only prescription... is more cowbell! Just as classic a line as "Hello Cleveland!" "Hello Cleveland!"
8 bars: Riff #1
Riff #2
9 Bars Riff #1
2 bars A minor
8 bars: Riff #1
Riff #2 + 3 Bars Riff #3
I got a fever… and the only prescription… 🤔
Please teach the solo.
Teach us See You In Hell next!
Definitely. You need to get Will Farrell and Christopher Walken to help.
That was good but it could have used a little more cowbell...
You were playing it wrong. Don’t fear the reaper requires a special tuning DGDGBE
see ya....wanna be ya Great teach! And english bankster accents turn me off. (old retired dinosaur bass player who went from playing fretless fusion to punk to country swing)
All the cowbell talk ruins the beauty of the song. It’s very low in the mix. A crew member plays the cowbell in the wings only during the bridge and not on stage
He's trying too hard to be funny and it distracts. Heaven help you if you decide to replay this.
Yes do it
