I've had multiple families of wild rabbits living in my backyard for years now. They're great to have around; very calming and great for your emotional well being. After dinner I go sit in the yard and watch them all run around munching on clover. They're comfortable with me watching them and every day I leave a fresh bowl of clean water out for them. 🙂
I do love these videos but with that being said no matter how much you educate the public humans still believe that it is rabbits in cages and hutches and it's not natural
Domestic rabbits need more attention than wlid ones n u don't care about them girls rabbit died of cancer couldn't be her fault he was 2 yrs old don't judge help ❤
every time someone says domestic bunnies are the same as wild bunnies i show them a picture of my bunny and i ask “does this guy look like he has ANY survival instincts?” then they understand
Amazing Video!! People really need to understand DOMESTIC and WILD rabbits ARE NOT THE SAME. I've really had enough of this nonsense where people just release their rabbit into the garden to "free" them or keep them out in a hutch. This really needs to stop, thank you for spreading the word Lorelei❤️ Sending Love from my 2 buns💕😊xx
I have a wild rabbit that I named Ginger that lives in my yard. She's very tolerant of us, sometimes hanging out with us when we're having a BBQ. While she won't come up to us (except for the time I was filling the bird feeders), she's comfortable enough with me to to flop down and stretch out and relax while I talk to her. By the way, I know she's a girl as she had a baby in our yard 2 summers ago and last year, she did attempt to make a nest in our raised flower bed that she figured out how to get into by climbing the back stairs. (It sits next to the staircase.) She's been visiting for about 4, 5 years now and has a spot in our back yard where she sleeps or hides during the day. (I've seen her go in there.) Also about 2 weeks ago, I saw the cutest thing: while on a walk, there was this wild bunny in the corner yard, that suddenly got the zoomies and ran around in a circle in there side yard for several minutes! Sometimes that rabbit would jump up in the air before continuing the zoomie! The best part was having that rabbit run within inches of us (that neighbor didn't have a fence)!
Thankyou Lorelai, I've learned something new today . I didnt know domestic rabbits and cottontails don't mate. This is very surprising and interesting to me. Great video.
We found our domestic rabbit outside, seemingly hanging out with the wild rabbits. It's hard to say if the wild rabbits were accepting of him or not, and we have no way of knowing how long he was living in the wild before we found him. I'm surprised about how bold rabbits can be, wild or domestic. The wild rabbits have been known to hop right over to us at times, and our little domestic rabbit didn't show much fear of humans when we first captured him, and has never been particularly concerned about our cats either.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with me. I have a pet ❤ there are many wild ones that I feed leftover hay, but there's no contact with the wild ones
I’d say that if you see a domestic rabbit, when you’re walking by the first thing to do is take a picture to post on Facebook or something and lost animals groups. Also for places like Australia where there are no local rescues. Normally it is best to try to catch them yourself and watch videos on itto know how.
I have wild rabbits in my yard. As much as I would love to get close to them, I give them a wide berth and only shoo them out of my yard when I go to mow the grass.
I have 10 rabbits living in my place. Free roam of course, I have 6 domestic and 4 ‘mixed half wild breeds. The mum (Goldie) aka Big Mumma looks exactly like some of these wild rabbits. In the UK wild rabbits can mate with domestic. It’s a wild ride. No pun intended
It would be great if you could make a video about deep knee bends since rabbits like when you come down to their level (rather than being picked up). My back was getting destroyed getting down on my rabbit's level. With the deep knee bend position, things are working out better. Sitting crisscross apple sauce on the floor destroys by back.
Dear Lennies out there: I heard a good joke the other day. What gets a bunny drunk? Hopscotch! (Eeyore🐰: (🤔Mommy, I don't get it!) As always, great video, Lorelei!
I live in a neighborhood, the Bunny Run Country Club, that has a *lot* of wild cottontail rabbits constantly running around with many living around my house.
Of course, the breeding is different too. Wild rabbits is a natural selection, whereas domestic rabbit breeds have been intentionally bred for characteristics and traits.
Hello Lorelei, just wondering could you pls do another rabbitat reaction video as I am soon getting bunnies and would love to have some feedback on my set up when I get them
We live on a farm and about an hour ago our neighbours dogs came Into our garden, our bunnies were in hutches with runs attached but they got very scared so my mum shut the gate and then got the bunnies out (one by one)and tried to reassure them and stuff. One of the bunnies was rlly scared and flew out my mums arms as she was still terrified and sprinted over the fence out into the field we have left food and stuff out there any one know any way for us to get to back or how to find her?
just a few days ago i saved a wild baby rabbit. unfortunately my dog killed its mother and nearly killed the baby but i saved her. i happen to be a veterinary assistant and a bunny lover with 2 buns of my own. ive been nursing her however im not too sure what to do now hah.. but im just happy the baby is healthy.
Can you make a video on how do we know that what breed my rabbit belong and how do we know the weight of rabbits and how do i know what age my rabbit is if it is not small or too huge. As i am a new owner of rabbit so i don't know. Please make a video on these. Please please please....🙏🏼🙏🏼😊...
I have a question that is not related to this video at all. My one year old bunny who is turning two in September choked on her pellets about a year ago. (Fortunatly she is ok now.) We did a bit of research and discovered that we should add a bit of water in to the pellets so that they are softer and easier to chew and swallow we have done this ever since the incident. I don't know if we should continue to do this forever, or if I should stop adding water to her pellets.
Check with an exotics vet that sees rabbits. They’re the best people to consult with regarding diet issues with your rabbit. It took me almost a year to get our group of rabbits diets perfected because each one ended up getting stasis at some point. And was due to feeding them too many gassy greens. So I have to limit them now to specific greens 🥬 and only 3 times a week. They get unlimited orchard grass hay and 1-2tbsp of pellets a day and a digestive tab everyday. This is just the diet that works for my group and my vet agrees with it. Since all my rabbits are seniors from 6 years of age to 12 years of age. Just had one put to sleep the other day from respiratory failure and she made it to 11 years 8 months. Rip my Grace 😢
I now know why other gals hate on Lorelei, cus she never runs outta subject matter.Correction, a bunny will mate with anything, when #LuckyDBunny mounted my forearm,n bit my wrist, as his foreplay..I got him Luna, a spaded blonde Dutch
Hay Lorelei I can’t free Rome my bunny all the time my parents won’t let me but I give them a huge space and when I am at home I give it access to the hole upstairs of my house is that ok
Lennon i know rabbits needs to be free but my dad forced me and my mom to take it in other place we still live we work in that place into something like they can't leave because mom does not want like my rabbits to go free😭😭😭😭😭😭 other things you know to make them happy?😄🥰🥰❤❤❣❣💗💗
hi, i have a quick question. I was planning on getting a bunny and I was planning on free roaming it in my room but when I'm at school how would the bunny react and how will I manage to have someone take care of it.
Let me tell you a story a baby wild bunny showed up at my hurt very badly I didn't want to put the poor thing down so I took care of him and he loved it but sadly passed a few days later
I have a question. Are harnesses/leashes safe for rabbits? My mom told me that a worker at a store said that they were not safe when she brought them up.
They aren’t. If they’re outside with them on and a predator freaks them out they could easily bolt and harm themself. Keep your rabbit indoors especially with the threat of RHDV.
i have a question! is it true when bringing a bunny home we need to leave them in their little cages/hatch until 2 weeks before we let them roam around??
Never heard of such a thing. And don’t get a cage or a hutch that’s not enough space for a rabbit. Minimum size should be a puppy play pen and you let them out to run around in a rabbit proof area of your living space for exercise.
I have a question: What if you can't keep your bunny out of a cage bc you have dogs that want to attack the bunny and you dont want to leave your bunny or dog alone in a room? (This question is from a previous video you made)
My sister has a bunny but we cant free roam because of our dog and that means she has the tedious task to get her out well it's just hard because she eats everything that her teeth can get into got any ideas
We had a wild rabbit which we rescued from a non-veg food area, and she gave birth to 4 bunnies, by the help of domestic rabbit, soo My question is can I teach my half wild/half domestic rabbit litter training?
I have a wild rabbit that comes to visit mine when they are playing outside in their x pens. Domestic rabbits are tough and can survive for years in the wild. I work where people dump them all the time so I see it daily. All mine were rescued from my work. It’s sad to see and they do get hurt sometimes but they are survivors.
Theres a concerning video/short from a youtuber named "fishin with Tate" and if you could talk about it I think it would do some good. Unfortunately the damage is done, I read the rabbits he bought he accidentally got them k!lled by his dogs. His behavior is absolutely disgusting.. I i feel so helpless when it comes to people still buying rabbits and separating bonded pairs, just for them all to get murd3r3d by dogs..

I love to see these type of videos cause everybody thinks domestic rabbits and non domestic rabbits are the same thing but they're really or not

I had two bunnies before, and this channel felt like home after a while. I don’t have them anymore but it still feels like home.

I’m getting 2 rabbits and your such an inspiration to me ❤❤
The wild rabbits are so cute! I have some living in the woods behind my house and they just lay in our clover sprawl out. 🤗🐰🥰
Thank you
Hey I absolutely love your videos ❤❤❤

This is so adorable that it put me to sleep twice at lunch. Thank you! 🐰💕
4:05 I can confirm this. The wild rabbits love to eat the herbs my mom grows in her garden.

0:15 THE BUNNY AT THE BACK LOOKS LIKE MY ONE !!
I used to be around rabbits when I was a young boy and believe me those rabbits were very waskley! That's why I called them wabbits.
I saved an injured wild rabbit from a hawk and took it to a wildlife vet
i love u
“rabbits sleep 10+ hours a day”

Hiii do you have tips on how to bunny proof wires?
I always used chicken wire, cut in long strips.

hi, i have a quick question. I was planning on getting a bunny and I was planning on free roaming it in my room but when I'm at school how would the bunny react and how will I manage to have someone take care of it.
Hello, Lorelei
I want to ask you, is it a good idea to travel with rabbits? Like flying somewhere with them etc, not only driving.
what happened to the hop litter box i went to look for it coz i finally had the money to buy it but now i cant fined it on amazone
Let me tell you a story a baby wild bunny showed up at my hurt very badly I didn't want to put the poor thing down so I took care of him and he loved it but sadly passed a few days later
6:20 Ah yes, the number six, usually written as '7'.
Do you still go to peoples houses and help them with their bunnies?
I have a question. Are harnesses/leashes safe for rabbits? My mom told me that a worker at a store said that they were not safe when she brought them up.
They aren’t. If they’re outside with them on and a predator freaks them out they could easily bolt and harm themself. Keep your rabbit indoors especially with the threat of RHDV.
