About a week after I adopted my rabbit she started pulling her fur out. I had *just* made an appointment at the vet to set up her spay. I thought it was a phantom pregnancy since she was only 4 months old but I decided to check in with the girl I got her from to make sure. Turns out she was housed with her brother and they might've gotten busy and dwarf rabbits actually reach maturity at 4 months rather than the usual 6.
Really took me by surprise. Unfortunately the baby was stillborn, but that was too be expected with an inbred. It did make me glad though that she decided to use one of my old blankets for her nest. It told me that despite only being with her for a week she was already comfortable with my scent and trusted me. She's spayed now and cuddlier than ever

My bunny wasn't just my pet, she was my best friend too! She used to snuggle up to me in my bed on a cold day and fall asleep with me. She used to lick all the tears off my face when I was sad too. She was such a funny bunny, some of the stupid things she did had me in stiches! Boy do I miss my big beautiful bunny rabbit, she was so cute and I miss the soft feeling of her lovely warm fur. I loved those big beautiful brown eyes! She was so sweet and lovely, I used to kiss her and feed her out my hands, she would just sit there enjoying being petted and loved. I used to kiss and tickle her face and stroke her furry ears. She also smelt nice too, like almonds or fresh bread!

My bunny Finnigan passed 2 months ago in his 11th year.
He was an avid tv fan and would turn his back on me to sulk when anyone changed the tv station. He would thump his disapproval and turn his back.
One time I went away for a few days and expected him to be so happy I was home, NO. He refused to come to me and turned his back. The rest of the family said he was so sad I wasn't home.

First time rabbit owner 😃 What I noticed is that rabbits and cats have some similar behaviours (I used to have a cat). The “turning your back to you” when they’re offended. Not caring when you call them. Doing things on their time and not yours. So I sometimes call them cats, but tbh in my language the words look a bit alike 🙄

It used to be that people would call me if their bunny ignored them longer than a day, because I am a bunny whisperer. In the short time I spoke to rabbits, I had over a 90% win rate. More often than not if the bunny has never given its mama or daddy a bunny kiss, after I have done bunny whispering, they give many kisses. I don't talk much about this anymore, but it's true!

One of my rabbits was quite aggressive and used to bite a bit. So I checked out, what other rabbits would do. The next time she did it, I squeaked a bit and turned around, eyeing my bunny over my shoulder. After that she still ran towards me open mouthed, but never bit me again! I also want to add, she used to fall asleep next to my foot when I was studying ^^ (Yes she had a buddy and yes she was a great, albeit difficult darling)

  • @catariahue5300

The nibbling of the clothes can also be a sign of being territorial and dominant. The difference is that the rabbit will nibble and also tug at clothes. Rabbits will pull each other’s fur as a sign a dominance and do the same with humans and their clothes.

It also to keep their teeth trimmed down as they keep growing, they love pine cones and is a great way to keep them teeth away from the dentist vet because if they have to grind them down they grow quicker and would need to be grinded down every six months or so, can i advice you to insure them cos if they fall ill you might not be able to afford the vet bills, not a lot that can go wrong with rabbits health but when they fall ill sometimes the vets cant diagnose the cause because of their lack of knowledge and the surgical equipment that is needed for their small bodies, so take care and keep your rabbit home clean and dust free and invent a song that will make them dance with your feet they will want more and love you more xx

My female mini lop is on day 3 of recovery from getting spayed. She's doing really well fortunately. Her eating is almost back to normal and I know she wants to run around her room so bad. She has 1/3 of the room penned off just for her but if we're home and away, she normally gets the run of the whole room, but I've been keeping her in her area until she recovers more. Gives me a chance to deep clean the room at least.

hello Lorelei. I hope this message reaches you. I have recently lost my sweet rabbit Rome. She was an amazing girl and I adored her more than anything in the entire world. We rescued her from an abusive situation where she sat on her own poop all day for almost two years. Would you like to know the reason I realized how wrongly she was being treated? It was because of you. I watched your videos and they gave me so much information. You are the reason she had an amazing quality of life with me, even if it was only for a short time. I am so extremely grateful that you came into my life, even if it was in a virtual way. I cannot thank you enough for saving my sweet baby Rome. thank you. Rest In Peace sweet Rome. 2020-2022 fly high 💔🕊

My bunnies; Bart and Lisa , are rescues from Bunny Bunch in the Los Angeles area. They didn’t know each other but after a year with Bart alone we decided to get him a bestie. We had to do several “bunny dates” before we adopted Lisa to make sure they were compatible. Within a week of coming home after Bart chased her around and was inappropriate ( even though they are both fixed of course) they were grooming each and have been inseparable ever since. They pretty much ignore me all the time unless I’m feeding them 😆🙄

One thing my bunny does is growl whenever it’s time for her to go to bed, or if I’m petting her too much for her liking. Is that just a way of her saying that she doesn’t like that? I’ve never heard of bunnies growling and hitting before so maybe she’s just sassy lol

My bunny has so much spunk and is too smart for his own good! He only comes to me when I open his food container, but when my dad comes in the room my bunny dances all around him! He’s a little booger. Also fun fact if you ever want your bunny ti run around in a room that doesn’t have a litter box, just lay a puppy pad on the floor and it will use it!

I wish I could pet my bun forever and ever, I love him so much. I hope he knows that. I love petting him but I also have other things to do as well like homework, but I typically try to pet him for as long as possible.

I don’t know if it’s strange behavior, but I’ve had the same futon cover for over a year with no incident. Suddenly the last 2 months, it’s like the futon insulted Lulu or something because he chewed a bunch of holes in the cover. I gave him the old cover as a toy to play with and currently have boxes on top of the new cover for supervised visitation on the futon till I know if Lulu’s animosity is restricted to the old cover. I haven’t been around any other bunnies or animals. He just went crazy. Total weirdo lol.

I also think my rabbit poops outside her litter box in retaliation..when I graduated college and had more time to spend at home, I cleaned and groomed more regularly and i noticed she wasn't pooping out of her litterbox as much..I guess she just wanted a routine or something

My bunny ignored me, because he wantes attention after he felt very sad when I accidentally stepped on his paws. He was not hopping around anymore and only sitting in his cosy rabbit net. I think he needed time to process about what just happened and I came to him and stroke his fur gently. We bonded the most during those times. I let him know, that I care for him.

Okay, so this Is a pretty interesting story on why my rabbit ignored me for a day.
So I was preparing food for my rabbit just like every day and I was opening the door where his food is stored I didn't know he ran in there so I closed it. A few minutes passed and I didn't see him anywhere I checked thef food stash. And there he was looking super pissed at me qwq. I let him get out he went too eat his food. But after that he ignored me for almost a whole day.

I am our rabbits favorite person ☺️😉😄
Basty & ChinChin can recognize my voice and body movements.. whenever I'm around or near their cage or when I'm about to feed them, they stand up and thrust their heads against the cage grills looking excited to meet me. They like me to groom them from head to belly ☺️ they eat grasses aside from feeds & drink too much in a day, so I always make sure they have fresh green grass and feeds in their food bowls and their water bowl with clean water 💖

My rabbit just started to ignore me when I got him a really nice Rabbit Hutch with a "Penthouse". I pick him up properly sometimes anyways and he's sweet, but wants to make the Hutch his Territory. It's the feeling I get from him.
But I do pet him and let him know that I want him to still cuddle. He's good about it, but when he see the Hutch as I bring him over, he JUMPS back in. I smother him with Love and delicious greens of all kinds, because I Love him. Even though he may ignore me sometimes, I don't want him to turn on me. Rabbits ARE smart. ❤️

Oly doesn't generally ignore me if I call him because he knows there are either loves or goodies headed his way. He does however get coy when I catch him chewing on the carpet. He'll stop and give me the "what. I'm not doing anything" look or if he hears me coming when he's doing something naughty he'll jump into one of his potty boxes look at me like "Oh hello there..just sitting here doin' my business." He's such a silly boy!
He does let me know when he's mad at me. He'll turn his back or if I have to "accost" him to clip his nails he'll give me the bunny version of f-you kicking his hind legs out when I let him go and he runs back to his house. But he forgives me as soon as the post trauma treats come out 😆
