Hi everyone, just wanted to remind you that I have written in the video description that this video is Brian's narrative parts only, so that excludes the actual music videos, to avoid copyright infringement. Thanks!
Brian is one of the most underrated people out there. Everyone knows him from Queen but he is also a practicing astrophysicist who's worked with NASA, photographer, author, and the guy made the guitar he has been playing all these years from scratch. This man is the Leonardo Da Vinci of our time and that is barely an exaggeration.
I don't think he is! I always thought he was hot! He is highly intelligent, very talented, tall, dark , handsome, the whole package....and still is! Brian May is timeless.
the older i get, the more i realize that queen (and many other bands) simply enriched my life so much. freddie was simply a millennial talent, and so were roger brian and john. simply unbelievable how much good music the 4 men created, and even today, 33 years after freddie's death, their work is unrivaled. queen forever
@leokimvideo there are other rock stars today who have phds in various areas, and Brian has always said that science and music go together. He is also an animal activist and has his own animal rescue hospital and refuge, he has his own guitar company, he is a book publisher, he is a leader in the stereoscopic world, he has worked with NASA, his 3d pictures were used by NASA to determine the best place for the Osiris-REx spacecraft to land on the Bennu asteroid. Overqualified? He has four or five different careers, I don't know how he finds time to sleep.
@@lorrainecimino8508to be fair he earned his. Most rockers who get PhDs are just honorary ones. Dr May literally earned his through schoolwork and a dissertation so please don’t try to downplay his PhD compared to others who only got honorary ones.

I always like listening to Brian and Roger talk about the band and a lot of the things that went on while they were writing songs, touring, and making videos to the songs. I realized early on with Queen songs that there was always a message in them even, when Freddie said he didn't write songs with messages or specific meanings. But there were, and one of those songs helped save me from a very big and bad break down. So in essence, Queen saved my life with their music. ❤️☺️
I've been a Queen fan since the early 1970s, Strange feeling now that my son is engaged to the daughter of John Harris, Queens first sound man/roadie from the early day, It's a strange feeling talking to someone who knew Freddie, Brian, Roger and John so well. In fact I believe Brian referred to him as the 5th member of Queen at one point, He is also the only non Queen member to have his picture on the back of the Queen (First) album.
@@shepchester3567 It was quite a surreal feeling :-) To hear someone talking about "Fred" and realising he is talking about Freddie Mercury is quite weird
Such an extraordinary guitar player and most beautiful human being...so warm and calm and kind ,he has aged so well ,he looks young and healthy....listening to him talking is nearly as good as listening to him playing his iconic Red Special guitar...All my respect and love for you ,Brian !!!
Tie that mother down ! I totally get this and Brian you just made me cry when you were saying we all just want to be loved . So true . I am 48 and I still seek the love and approval
It's just so relaxing listening to Brian tell the story, at least until he gets to the part about the Hammer (H-Bomb) falling. I don't think any of us growing up in the 60's figured we'd see 70 years old!! They used to have the Nuclear clock. For years it was 3 or 4 minutes before Armageddon. Then for a couple of decades after the cold war was over it actually moved back a few minutes. It's now moved back to 2 minutes before Armageddon with the current state of the world. Bri certainly was a comfort during the pandemic. 😊 Glad he included the Pandemic Champions!

No, he wrote it in the Summer of 1979. This was just as Freddie and American chef, Joe Fanelli were breaking up. Freddie was devastated, Joe was going back home to the U.S. Freddie called David Minns (his first real boyfriend) crying about the breakup. He thought so much of Joe that he continued to pay the requirements for Joe to stay in London when he wanted to come back and work in London restaurants.
