Brian was in total pain in 1992, but he was still laughing and facing his problems. He’s so strong, he was able to bring his life back to reality and don’t kill himself❤️
“everything wasn’t really fine inside”, “I missed freddie dreadfully”, “don’t try to be me”, “it’s not something I’d want my kids to take on”. my heart aches for bri. even here, there’s an overwhelming feeling of sadness in this interview. I hope he’s doing okay today, despite still struggling with depression. Brian inspires me to keep going, even while at the darkest point in my life. He battled depression whilst being inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, playing on the rooftop of the Buckingham palace, being knighted by King Charles, and much more. bless him. Also, Brian’s voice is so incredibly calming. Just listening to his dreamy voice is putting me to sleep.
The journalist conducting the interview asked very intelligent questions and I think she was good at getting him to open up and share some personal thoughts.
What an amazing interview. He has gone through so much pain at one time. At least he sought help to get himself better. We all go through something in our lifetime, but we manage to get ourself back to reality. He is a strong person to admit his problem & then to seek help to move forward with his life. No one is perfect but we do what we can to achieve what we want in life. Much love & respect for this man. Keep going forward & don't go back into the dark. Keep following the light & you will be fine. There is always help if the person really wants it & seeks help to get through. Brian is so special & has so much love from his fans. 🥰❤️🫂
Brian is just AMAZINGLY truthful....this interview is very eye opening and raw.....I love Brian's honesty about himself and his life!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS!!!❤❤❤❤#brianmayforreal#simplythebestbetterthanalltherestatanyage#brianmay
What a beautiful interview. He had such a hard time after losing his Dad & Freddie. Glad he sought help to get him through his depression time. He did write songs & you can see the pain & hurt when he is singing them. . Songs are what he was going through & he put them into words for his songs. Thank you for seeking help & for all your beautiful songs put out during the Brian May Band era. And continuing to this day with QUEEN +ADAM
@@lorrainecimino8508 ALL the great ones deal with depression. Do a bit of research. You'll find Einstein on the list. Brian's IQ is 180. Higher than Albert.
@gaylachiriaco8667 honestly with a loss like a family member, as in Freddie, I don't blame him for his depression. Brian also went through a traumatic time with his help during 1974 thinking he was gonna die from hepatitis and assuming he was letting the band down. But through it all he still pulled through. He's quite an inspiring person.
I am 48 now and have loved these guys since 1974, so I have reason to speak hahahaha. Roger and Brian should play as much as they can, but I am an OLD SCHOOL fan and will never forget the days when QUEEN kicked ass!!!!!
Hi. Your last point was what I meant, yes. My dad was a huge fan when I was born and I was raised on The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and such from birth. Sorry for the obvious confusion.
I always liked Brian. He was and still is my favorite. He's been through some rough times. But, managed to come through being a better person for it. God bless him.
This man seems very driven, and that can be a hard thing to deal with. He is all over social media now, in learning more about Queen I did not realize how much more it was his band rather than Freddie Mercury’s. Some people can’t retire (my own husband has had a hard time-he feels low when he feels he has not accomplished anything). I know John Deacon has, he seems content. May’s being an only child may have something to do with it. The man has a Ph. D., I imagine he gets bored easily. There must be some ego involved in having talent like he does, & wanting to show it off. But he still seems very grounded and as down to earth as a millionaire rock star can be. :)
dont think he gets bored as is very involved in his animal charity, and made docu aired recently on bbc uk. Took years in the making, needing in depth research on bovine tb and belief was transmitted by badgers - he proved uk govt wrong
Brian sounds and looks like he is carrying all the problems of the whole world on his shoulders. It's hard to listen and watch, I just want to hug him and lift some of his pain from him. 💔 He's souch a deep soul and he was hurting badly... 😢 But he didn't give up, he managed to get help and he found that light eventually. What he didn't see or believe that HE was the light (and he still is to this day). He was shining so bright for everyone else that he forgot to use some of it for himself. He is an outstanding human being.
Actually here on the outside, looking in, it seems Brian even telling it here had a problem-free life from childhood on, achieving higher education, marriage, children, legendary band etc. Concerns me his morose here. He was an only child. Maybe that’s a factor affecting his demeanor. Obviously a talented guy.
Brian May displayed his depression from as early as QUEEN 1. I know he has suffered for years. However, what about John Deacon? Just think about that for one second....Roger too. Brian is very me, me, me.
The interviewer was asking Brian about himself, not Freddie or John or Roger. They had their own demons for sure, but this interview wasn’t about them. Besides, their insecurities & depression stories are their own stories to tell…..not Brian’s.

I am taken by how normal these men were in this band. Freddie had his queen life, but even the core of him was just a normal, good human being.
Genius, professional, perfectionist and pure classic guitarist on earth. God Bless you Brian.
He still shows here many physical signs of depression.❤️
Thought that too. There's a heaviness in his aura. Like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders 😢
This was a very old interview, but he still suffers from depression in 2022.

You can still see how dark his mind is during this point and he was in so much pain
Brian is cool ..calmest hero
Beautiful soul
U reached far beyond the stars with that guitar playing love that song queen the show must go on u rocked that!!!

may i ask how u liked these guys since 1974 when u are only 48? i am 49 n was born in 74'.

he’s the reason i play at guitar and i exercise every day to be just like him
Very good, but you should be original and yourself. Come up with your own style.
i dont thing brian is me me me. He is being interviewed and he is answering the questions.
I know how BM feels. Everything seems to have cracked in my life all at once. I really do emphasise with and sympathise for him ❤
Excellent interview !
strange how brian always talks about his dads passing but never his mothers!!
His mum died in 1998, this interview was in 1992 and she was still living back then.
Is this interview conducted in Finland? Which year was this?
@thijs78 Thanks dude

What a silly thing to suggest. Brian can/could only really talk about his own life. Roger and John could only speak for themselves.
Lo adoro muy guapo se ve aquí.
I reddie _eddie Great interview! Do you have a date for this please?!
i only know its 1992, sorry!
