My grandad used to drink with him regularly . He used to work in the federation brewery in Gateshead and Brian Johnson would pop into the local where my grandad would drink
I’m a guitarist and the drum teacher of where I’m taking lessons was invited to a party at Brian’s house (this was right before he had to leave AC/DC) and met him and he said he was extremely nice and gracious. Would give anything to meet this man!
People always, always miss the point... He is the epitome of the Cinderella story. This guy joined AC/DC at 32, hardly the time when you expect to start a successfull music career, and he was flat broke . Just shows it ain't over until it's over.

The thing I love about Brian is that he makes me feel like I've been friends with him for years, even though I haven't met him. I feel like I'm having a conversation with him when I watch stuff like this even though I've never been able to say anything to him. He always puts a smile on my face and makes me happy, ever since I first got into AC/DC before I could walk. thank you Brian. You've inspired me as a 17 year old to pick up my guitar, microphone, drums and bass and give it my best shot to make more rock n roll in the world.
Brian did good, stayed sane and never lost His roots along the way with the band. Top man and I would love to have a pint with Him. A true British Legend.
Indeed! I actually came to watch this video to hear an example of a Geordie accent, after looking up what "Geordie" meant in the Mark Knopfler tune Sailing to Philadelphia.
One of the best frontmen of all time. Just an all over class act. He seems like such a respectful person and so easy to approach, oh how I would love to shake his hand.
It is the mark of a great man that refuses to let fame & fortune go to his head and change him. To quote Abraham Lincoln “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power”. Hats off to you Brian.
Did anyone notice something about Brian in this interview? The guy is worth millions upon millions of dollars, he's got one of the most bad ass resumes in history, he fronts (or fronted) the biggest and best hard rock band of all time, yet he just comes across as the most down to earth, average Joe kinda guy... even when he talks about buying a bloody Rolls Royce, he just sounds so normal! What a brilliant personality Brian has. I grew up in Newcastle, England and my mum went to school with him. I’ve lived in the USA for past 15 years, so it was fantastic to hear his Geordie dialect. I really enjoyed the interview.
Brian is a great singer. He is also a very humble person. Love listening to him tell stories. He has a way about him that he just i a interesting person.

Brian is such a sweet guy very down to earth. Brilliant he hasn't lost any of his Geordie accent. He was the only one who could take over the vocals for AC/DC after Bon.
what a great guy! down to earth, so respectful for joining ACDC. Gave an indication of how demanding and how much work is done by the group, great upload!
Slash, the Godfather I hate people constantly comparing him to Bon. He is incomparable to anyone. He was in that band for so long time and who knows where they would be without him.
I.m from Bulgaria, I learn English almost 50 years from my 3 age but I barely understand what Brian says with his Geordie dialect. However, I love him for everything what he did for Geordie and AC/DC. After Bon i didn't like him cause of the Pain of his loss. But now i find his one of the most natural superstars ever, means i like this guy very much now. As well as a musican.
I'm in my Sixties now, and I wish I could go back to the 70's. Today music is become homogenized. Nothing is unique or original, and it all sounds the same. There has been such a loss of quality when music was translated into digital. There isn't that warmth any longer, everything sounds tinny today. Back on the earlier years when you flipped the power switch on you could hear the hum of the tubes warming up, and as you took the record out of it's sleeve, and placed it on the turntable, and gently placed the needle onto the record you knew you were in for a treat. Todays kids have no idea what real music sounds like. Thank goodness that the equipment of an age is coming back. To get your hands on original equipment will cost you thousands of dollars. I remember back in the 70's my brother spent over $7000.00 dollars for his entire sound system, and the sound was incredible. If My brother today wanted to replace this exact same system it would or could cost well over $32,000.00 in todays money. The only way I can describe the difference is this. The old days (I'm speaking back in the 70's to mid 80's) listening to music back then is like sitting in an old comfortable chair in front of a fireplace with the lights turned off, and enjoying the warm glow of the fire, and the music you're listening too. Todays music is like sitting in a stiff uncomfortable chair in front of baseboard electric heater. I really miss those days.
