That’s cool but it uses the inferior NES rom, and it’s just not the same without a second player.

Totally agree.
Bubble bobble is a 2player game and the NES version is not an arcade substitute.

I still have the original Nintendo with the gun and controller and game actually. haven't played it in bout 10 years but its sitting right here under my TV
