Best game that was ever created! I mean, the people who bought this game in their generation, and played thousands of hours to complete it! I myself have completed a couple of times on the Commodore 64, and many times on the Playstation 1. A brilliant, IF not best game of its generation, and a game to test only the best Gamers! If you (the green dragon) can survive until round 20, you will get a bonus game (the gate), and every 10 rounds after if you do not die! your little blue friend is best to help you survive, taking the killings for you if needed! I remember the very first time I completed round 100 on my own, to be told it WASN'T a true ending! I almost cried!!

There's a THIRD ending! When you let the final boss go krazy red & then kill him, it leads to a different ending - with "Mama & Papa" coming out of the big bubble monster, in addition to the littler siblings...That's in the arcade version, I think...
Interesting facts: 1. 99.99999999% of the northwestern hemisphere didn't know this was originally an arcade game 2. Those same gamers never saw the true ending 3. No one understood how Rainbow Islands could be a sequel to the game because of that. This game came out in the B.I. era (Before Internet) so we didn't have the same level of awareness as today.
That third ending is only obtainable if you catch a "magic" crystal in level 99 and go through the door. then you go to bonus levels and then level 100. that's when you get the true end after defeating drunk.
Heres a funny question. How do you find ABCD On PS4? Idk what the 8 big words are. Aww but i did beat levels 1-100. 5:38 im on the hunt for the secret game somehow.
"ABCD...." first appears in a silver door on Level 20. Just go through the door when it appears. The only way to make it appear, though, is to make it there from Level 1 without losing a single life. ....yeah.
I remeber that..before you start you have to write power up to get all the power and original game to gey thr secret doors for diamont city 20 30 40 and the door in 50(umbrella)to lead you to 70..if you dont make the systems you go without power and there is not doors.if you loose in 1 round and start again you will get door for diamant city in first round...i was complete all these 100rounds many many many times but i never boring
You have to finish it with 2 players to get the good ending right? That's why I couldn't. I needed another person, I didn't have at the time. Or is that just the NES version?
I really prefer the NES version over the Arcade version when it comes to how th bubbles work. I like in the NES version you can still form bubbles, even while up against a wall.

At the last boss if you want to spam the lighting bolts against the wall you'll only be able to shoot 1 of them, because it has a long animation of you getting hurt by it. The same thing happens with the fire bubbles... You can't jump after touching the flames so you'll be stuck there...
So what if you don’t have friends!? You don’t get the real ending just because you don’t have a friend to play with!? Wow! A video game that punishes you for not having friends. That’s pretty rich, Taito Corporation! 😢
you have to get to the middle of the stage in game 99 I think, getting the ''oracle'' ....... and yes , in order to pass the game you have to play this in two player mode
In this version the enemy's won't spit fireballs it's a little bit easyer. I've played this game back to 90's and I still searching for this version in the old wooden box with the tough joystick handles.God I've mist it

No, that's Super Bubble Bobble, you dont need to make him angry to get the ending with the parents. All you need to do is have the mode enabled.
So as long as you pay an extra quarter at the very end to bring in player 2 at the last sec. Yer good.
That second ending tho... At least the nes version tells you right away that its a bad ending...
