- Hi all, based on last comments I decided to record another but more detailed movie to show you installation of Android radio on BMWs E60 and E61. This radio is improved version that have newer Android and few more features like improved AUX connection, working FM radio, microphone and dedicated speaker for the navigation. I know that this movie is longer than last one but in addition I also explained how to install reverse camera.
I hope that this one will be better and easier to follow than my previous movie.

I am going to install this kind. I have checked a lot of video which is related. I don't want to compare those with yours by putting up example. In fact, to me, you are provided crystal clear video, explanation... You are the best !! Keep up.

Good to see a updated video, if anyone doesnt like gps sticking out. Get two cables that connects car gps and another adapter connects to android unit, costs £15

Those aftermarket-android parts were nice, got one in my E93. But at least with mine there are some issues that I should have known before purchase. The use in a convertible is quite different in one thing: If the roof is opened it is quite bright and the screen mirrors the clouds. And in that case my screen is way too dark even when brightnes is set to its highest level. It is VERY hard to see anything. And there is another thing that I had to consider: My android-unit is equipped with an connector for a cellphone-card in order to gain access to the internet. But it had to be configured first. I was lucky to find a description for server-adress. But now it seems as if the whole unit looses connection to even that whole cell-unit. No card is detected. That shouldn`t be the real problem... the real prob is simply there is no support I can ask. So in the end I think those unites where great but they are aftermarket. And that should be considered.
there is place in E60 for central speaker in the middle of cockpit. It is better to use original BMW speaker for navigation sound

I have one more question on your video in the main beam there is a super solved AUX case but how and to what to connect the jack cable if there is only an AUX jack input in the main beam and the included jack-jack cable to the plug on the back of the armrest if there is any other input. And behind this a very good detailed video
Hi there. Android radio connect to main aux on the back of your BMW unit, I am not sure why they give jack-jack cable as you dont need it, maybe old versions of these radios needed them.
Forgot to mention but mine is a Mekede Android. It looks exactly like yours.

Hi Andy. I did this installation but I have no sound from CCC Android. My car is an E60 with original aux in and USB and it also has optical cable. An Aux Out chord was supplied but I can´t find where to connect it in the Android unit. I believe the other end has to be plugged into my car´s Aux In port. How did you do in yours? I saw your Aux Out chord over the seat in the beggining of the video but I didn´t see you using it. Thanks...

How to use the micro ? If I push the VOICE button an my wheel, then I get the voice from the original BMW radio .
Did you ever figure out what that little speaker was supposed to be used for?
Yes, it work when you talk over the phone, you hear 2nd person from it
Andy N, ok, does it not use the speakers already in the car for that? Or do you have to install that speaker too?
@@ianmcgee7717 I have my extra speaker connected and it is where my calls are directed, on previous radios I didnt had this speaker and as you say calls were played by car main speakers. I didnt try to use this new model of Android radio without this speaker, but I think that without it sound should go as default via main speakers. I have two cars and must say that there is small plus for this small speaker, it is loud enough for me to hear from it but not loud enough to be heard outside of my car, like it was with older models

@Andy N also Andy, do you know if the USB ports charge a phone? Or are they only for pulling music from a usb drive?
Andy I have a question if I can connect the original gps antenna from the car directly to this radio and if it will work without errors in the on-board computer because I want to use the original
I dont think that this should bring any errors as long you will not use BMW navigation. My car also have BMW navigation, but I must admit that I had one occasion where Android for some reason was not working and as I was driving I had to use BMW navigation. In my opinion it is good to have two of them fully working just in case if Android will freze for some reason. I had this only once (funny as it was 3 days ago)

Then same as on my first car you will need to code it. It is very simple but you will need diagnostic OBD2 cable. Hi there, behind the radio you should have Video Out 1 and Video Out 2, they should be connected to your screens, audio will be played via the car speakers, I hope it helps, thanks

do u have any idea? I check with external DVD player and it shows it on the DVD screen in the heads.
it is like the app on the android does not send signal to the video output the yellow female plug,
it is only sending to the android screen maybe there is app that I can chose the output ? or in the settings of the android I should chose the video out put instead of the android screen?

@@MrYaniv29 Hi there, siadły I only used radio to connect Playstation to it, never to send signal to external screens. I dont have any device that I can connect on my end to test it. I just checked manual that I got with radio but it doesnt say anything about external screens. There may be some setting in "factory settings" but I will recommend to contact shop that sold you the radio. Sorry that I was not much of help.

Hi there, these android radios are universal and have few idrive types. If you will go to factory settings then you should be able to change to another type. I have made movie about these settings. I hope that it will help:

Andy N hi there. I have select the knob to A or B. It’s not changing at all. Even the menu button also not working. Don’t know it’s the harness issue or android player itself.
@@jjjrao83 I am sorry to hear this, but standard step should be to customize your settings to your car, if this doesnt work then maybe unit is faulty, I think that you should contact seller, explain steps that you did trying to solve the issue and ask for support. I think you may be correct and radio was supplied with damaged connectors. Sorry that I cannot help, but if you will find solution then it will be good to hear what was it, it may help other people with same issue.
