They will not throw codes and they're still available on their website, they have the bright ones as shown here and then slightly cheaper ones where you can adjust the color from bright white to orangish.
I had the Lux 180s in mine for about 9 months, then one went out on the way to my first track day. Lux replaced it immediately, no questions asked. Great product and awesome customer support.

You can actually do all that without even removing the headlight unit or even needing any tools. You only need to unscrew the cap part. It's a little tight, but I changed mine in the parking lot at the part store in just a few minutes.
I don’t remember 100% but I believe the LED is a good bit longer than the original halogen bulb so you can’t get it into the headlight without removing it
Lol I died when you said it’s like a wwe wrestling match putting the headlights back in. I’ve had to take mine out probably 4 times so far and still can’t comprehend what’s the best way to reinstall them without spending 15 minutes putting one back in.
Tried this today and I could not get them lined up. The headlight assembly has to slide and lock into the tray under it and it's a pain in the ass. Gotta work on it again tomorrow

Consider yourself lucky! Some people have said they are able to do it if they have smaller hands. I have 2009 550i LCI. These are definitely gonna be my choice to upgrade angel eyes. My only question is how hot does the resister get in the housing? Will it damage any part of inside of headlight if you place it in a particular place?

It’s by design from the factory unfortunately. The bulb sits inside the inner rings so those are the brightest, and the light makes it’s way to the outer rings but is dimmer at that point. Had they used two bulbs or placed the one bulb in between the two rings, they would both equally be bright.

I just suggest buying one with only one or two owners, maintenance records, and if it's an smg I would try to find one with the smg pump already replaced since they will fail between 80-120k miles. Also, I recommend 2008+ models.
Yes, but probably even easier since those headlights aren't as curved. I changed the ones on my X5 before this car and didn't even have to remove the headlights. Popped the cover and just swapped the bulbs... hopefully its that easy for the E90 too.

It powers both the inner and the outer, so just one bulb for both the inner and outer. Poor design by BMW for the inner ones being brighter than the outer.

Hi there, Nice video on installing your led angel eyes on your 2008 BMW 5 series. I upgraded my regular headlights to LEDs ( low beams, high beams, and fog lights) on my 2008 BMW 528i. But I didn’t do the angel eyes yet. I found a local mechanic to help me install my headlights to LEDs because doing the fog lights is difficult if I were to do it all alone. The place I got my LED headlights installed is Audio Shack El Cajon in San Diego, CA. I live in San Diego. They installed my headlights at a decent price. My headlights requires using a load resistor in order to cancel out errors on my dash because it’s aftermarket headlights. After watching this video, I’m planning on installing LED angel eyes on my 2008 BMW 528i myself. BTW I love your BMW car in this video. Is your BMW automatic or manual transmission. My BMW 528i is a stick (6-speed manual).
My fog lights uses H8 LED. And I believe my low beams and high beams uses H7 LED bulb. Are you looking into switching from stock halogens to LEDs soon? I did mine a year ago😊

I’m just letting you know that so you’ll be aware just in case you get a headlight warning. Most aftermarket headlights require a load resistor.

No I believe these run cooler than the original halogens. I haven’t had any issues with the whole thing being tucked in there.

U said it works for 2008 and higher. But mine 2007 lci is also a facelift

Which spacers, lowering springs combo have you used on your M5? Looks just right.
I have 20mm spacers front and rear and the front is lowered with lowtech springs, rear is stock.
