This tournament was so much closer in quite a few rounds than the other, or at least it felt like it. Too bad most of the more mage-based creatures fell for the same trap of being backed into a corner. The moment this happened, it was pretty much over for them.
Some of those creatures did much better than I expected, yeah. 😄And I would think they have enough room to move around in the arena, but it doesn't seem like it. 😂

Flame enchant on sword is OP. That ticking damage really whittles down health, and I think being on fire actually boosts damage taken from other sources.

This was sick. I'm very surprised by the outcome, the last time I had a Dremora Lord and Wrathman fight, they actually killed each other at the very same time haha. Probably because the Wrathman had that extra 100 health boost from Conjuration. Very nice my friend, can't wait to see more. 😎

I love the grand champion arena maps they fight on. The colosseum map is my favorite but I wish it had NPC's in the stadium seating like this map does. Can't stop watching these videos once I start playing them it's good work you put in

@@lSlendermaster i was more talking about how wrathmen (and any draugr in general) when wielding a 2 handed sword specifically they perform 2 swipes instead of 1, essentially double their damage output

Wrathman and Dremora Lord are the best conjurable summons. If you want them to do damage, summon Dremora Lord, if you want your summons to tank the damage, summon Wrathman.
Would love to see some sort of boss enemy tournament, or boss enemies vs like all the types of certain enemies. Like Forge master vs all the types of dragur, or Miraak vs all types of dragons
That concept sounds like my usual battle videos. 😄 I don't use the Forgemaster often though because he is bugged, and I try to mix up my rounds to have some variety, because I think it would get boring to watch otherwise 😅
Good call, but the Dremora Lord's final hit put the Wrathman's HP down to -122 (you can see it in one frame if you pause), so it wouldn't have made a difference for this video. In general though, you're right of course! 😄

Fair point! I usually switch between Dremora Lords for damage, Wrathmen for tanking, and atronachs if ranged attacks and their elemental immunities matter, like against dragons.

And spectral assassin counted as follower in the tournament i recall^^ Then its just the call of valor shout warrior left. I assume arvak would get wrecked.
@@killjoy7346 Yeah, the focus was on regular conjuration spells, which are much more commonly used. 😄The unique powers and shouts aren't featured, mainly because there are too many, and I wanted to keep things simple. I honestly don't even know how Arvak would act. But he's not Shadowmere, so probably yes 😆
They're pretty bad, honestly. They have a good amount of health and can reduce their opponents' magicka, which can be useful against mages. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend them. Especially since you can only have one at a time, even with the Twin Souls perk 😂

Great video, but I am Roy Ross so I have to btch about one thing: some of the competitors seem way off balance, maybe you could level the playing field by choosing npcs who are more evenly matched. Just my two cents. Anyway, great vid.

The thralls do have more health, but hardly any players use them. None of them are as powerful as a Dremora Lord anyway. I didn't include unique powers because things would get too long and complicated in the tournament, and the unbound Dremora isn't a normal conjuration spell you can use in battle anyway 😄
@@lSlendermaster ok I love the thralls personally they are good for different situations, also how did you get the ash guardian to move around cause when you summon it it stays in one spot. Also is. It more powerful than a storm atronach/thrall. Oh and which atronach is your favourite 🙂.
@@elric5371 When do you use the thralls? 🤔 I usually use a Dremora Lord for damage, a Wrathman or Frost Atronach for tanking, or a Storm Atronach if I need ranged attacks. But the thralls take too long to cast for me because of the master spell animation, so I'm interested to hear a different opinion. 😄 For me, the Ash Guardian moves around in combat, but stays in place otherwise. 🤔 And it's definitely stronger than any of the atronachs, including the thralls. A lot of health and higher damage output! I actually prefer the Frost Atronach because he's a decent distraction and can stagger enemies well, even the bigger ones like Karstaag. I just wish he had some ranged attacks. 😂 What do you think?
@@elric5371 Ahh, I don't usually prepare myself for fights before they start, unless it's a boss battle. 😄I also walk around a lot in Skyrim, so I often have random encounters that happen unexpectedly and I have to react quickly. That's another reason why I prefer spells that are quick to cast. And I agree, I do find the atronachs/thralls more interesting to use too! I honestly don't know how strong the ancient version really is, because I only get to see it once per playthrough. But looking at the stats, that seems promising! Frost Atronachs can stagger easily, so I can see the ancient one possibly beat a Dremora Lord, but not consistently. 🤔
@@lSlendermaster oh I have a few suggestions for battles i your interested, You could use the arch cultists in Dragonborn as it has some pretty good stats the conjurer version has more hp than a night master vampire. and I think it would be interesting seeing it go up against a night master vampire. I think you could also do like a mage tournament like conjures vs necromancers, pyromancers etc. I think throwing in werewolves and bears could be cool. Also you could use like levels in different rounds different levels of creatures like one round a night stalker vampire vs a draugr scourge etc. Finally have you considered doing modded battles like the Summonable creatures from apocalypse and testing them against different creatures, always wondered about their stats?
@@lSlendermaster Yes I mean Dlc. I thought Stormy wins because he is the best Player summon practically. He can attack from distance while also being way more tanky than Deadric Lord which always gets One Shot and just sucks up mana. But I guess the Deadra has the edge in Closed Arena short range combat. Though he also had an early start to bridge distance so I imagine this battle could have definitely gone both ways. I wasn't sure about the Ash guardian since he is extremely hard to face in Legendary early game since his ash attack can't be dodged. I eventually managed to cheese him in my lvl 1 run but it's extremely annoying. I am surprised that he is actually not higher lvl than Storm despite needing a heart stone and all.
@@eliasvonbrille For me, it really depends on the opponent. I like to use Storm Atronachs for ranged attacks (especially against flying dragons), Frost Atronachs for staggering bigger opponents, Wrathmen for tanking, and Dremora Lords for damage. The Potent Storm Atronach did better than I thought, and yes, he's pretty close to the Dremora Lord. 😄 The Ash Guardian also is much better than I expected. I almost never use them though because I don't want to clutter my inventory with heart stones 😂
@@lSlendermaster I don't think the Ash guardian has anything over Stormy tbh so I never use them either. And yeah of course it depends on Opponents but generally Frosty or Stormy seem to most reliable. Though I usually ban all Summons in my Legendary pd runs because they simply make the game too easy since you can just cheese pretty much everything. Since I never use summons I am a bit clueless about their strengths.

Shame that arena is broken for AI. You can see how all range characters keep backing up into the gate ending up getting stuck in a corner. Seem like AI doesn't know there is a gate. Would be a different story if range AI would bait around the arena.
@@lSlendermaster , is there a reason why you don't use the vanilla world map? You could use well know beautiful environments for battles. I am sure AI would have less problems navigating them. I just think this could be a solution:)
@@chacknoris6552 I wanted an enclosed arena-like environment like this, and there's nothing in vanilla that really fits. 😅 At least I'm not aware of anything. Most maps are either too small or too large, which leads to many problems, such as making good camera work impossible. This especially applies to smaller rooms, where I constantly end up moving the camera into a wall because both NPCs are at opposite sides of the room. With larger maps indoors, there usually are different "levels" connected with stairs or something similar, and NPCs are terrible at navigating those and aiming with spells, let alone making it very hard to follow with the camera. If it's outdoors, it's usually not a flat area, so NPCs constantly get stuck on something, or move into something that I can't capture properly with the camera. If you have any suggestions, feel free! I have tried many maps, but I'm open for suggestions 😄

@@lSlendermaster well i assume this was conjuration spell and not power/shout since otherwise dohnuver(butchered his name) would dominate i think. and idk how the 1 wizzard would do (from winterhold when you obtain the keening knife). And spectral assassin counted as follower in the tournament i recall^^

@@killjoy7346 Yeah, the focus was on regular conjuration spells, which are much more commonly used. 😄The unique powers and shouts aren't featured, mainly because there are too many, and I wanted to keep things simple.
I honestly don't even know how Arvak would act. But he's not Shadowmere, so probably yes 😆

They're pretty bad, honestly. They have a good amount of health and can reduce their opponents' magicka, which can be useful against mages. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend them. Especially since you can only have one at a time, even with the Twin Souls perk 😂

Great video, but I am Roy Ross so I have to btch about one thing: some of the competitors seem way off balance, maybe you could level the playing field by choosing npcs who are more evenly matched. Just my two cents. Anyway, great vid.

How would the thrall variations of the atronachs compare? Don’t they have more hp. Also what about the Arniels shade and unbound dremora?
The thralls do have more health, but hardly any players use them. None of them are as powerful as a Dremora Lord anyway. I didn't include unique powers because things would get too long and complicated in the tournament, and the unbound Dremora isn't a normal conjuration spell you can use in battle anyway 😄
@@lSlendermaster ok I love the thralls personally they are good for different situations, also how did you get the ash guardian to move around cause when you summon it it stays in one spot. Also is. It more powerful than a storm atronach/thrall. Oh and which atronach is your favourite 🙂.
@@elric5371 When do you use the thralls? 🤔 I usually use a Dremora Lord for damage, a Wrathman or Frost Atronach for tanking, or a Storm Atronach if I need ranged attacks. But the thralls take too long to cast for me because of the master spell animation, so I'm interested to hear a different opinion. 😄
For me, the Ash Guardian moves around in combat, but stays in place otherwise. 🤔 And it's definitely stronger than any of the atronachs, including the thralls. A lot of health and higher damage output!
I actually prefer the Frost Atronach because he's a decent distraction and can stagger enemies well, even the bigger ones like Karstaag. I just wish he had some ranged attacks. 😂 What do you think?
@@elric5371 Ahh, I don't usually prepare myself for fights before they start, unless it's a boss battle. 😄I also walk around a lot in Skyrim, so I often have random encounters that happen unexpectedly and I have to react quickly. That's another reason why I prefer spells that are quick to cast. And I agree, I do find the atronachs/thralls more interesting to use too!
I honestly don't know how strong the ancient version really is, because I only get to see it once per playthrough. But looking at the stats, that seems promising! Frost Atronachs can stagger easily, so I can see the ancient one possibly beat a Dremora Lord, but not consistently. 🤔

You could use the arch cultists in Dragonborn as it has some pretty good stats the conjurer version has more hp than a night master vampire. and I think it would be interesting seeing it go up against a night master vampire.
I think you could also do like a mage tournament like conjures vs necromancers, pyromancers etc.
I think throwing in werewolves and bears could be cool.
Also you could use like levels in different rounds different levels of creatures like one round a night stalker vampire vs a draugr scourge etc.
Finally have you considered doing modded battles like the Summonable creatures from apocalypse and testing them against different creatures, always wondered about their stats?
Before watching the Video I will bet on Storm attronarch. Seems easily the strongest.

@@lSlendermaster Yes I mean Dlc. I thought Stormy wins because he is the best Player summon practically.
He can attack from distance while also being way more tanky than Deadric Lord which always gets One Shot and just sucks up mana.
But I guess the Deadra has the edge in Closed Arena short range combat. Though he also had an early start to bridge distance so I imagine this battle could have definitely gone both ways.
I wasn't sure about the Ash guardian since he is extremely hard to face in Legendary early game since his ash attack can't be dodged.
I eventually managed to cheese him in my lvl 1 run but it's extremely annoying. I am surprised that he is actually not higher lvl than Storm despite needing a heart stone and all.
@@eliasvonbrille For me, it really depends on the opponent. I like to use Storm Atronachs for ranged attacks (especially against flying dragons), Frost Atronachs for staggering bigger opponents, Wrathmen for tanking, and Dremora Lords for damage. The Potent Storm Atronach did better than I thought, and yes, he's pretty close to the Dremora Lord. 😄
The Ash Guardian also is much better than I expected. I almost never use them though because I don't want to clutter my inventory with heart stones 😂
@@lSlendermaster I don't think the Ash guardian has anything over Stormy tbh so I never use them either.
And yeah of course it depends on Opponents but generally Frosty or Stormy seem to most reliable.
Though I usually ban all Summons in my Legendary pd runs because they simply make the game too easy since you can just cheese pretty much everything.
Since I never use summons I am a bit clueless about their strengths.

Conjuration is one of my favorite schools of magic, so I always use it. 😂 You're right about legendary though. It's just completely unbalanced so I avoid it.
Understandable! I have tested many properties of them such as resistances and damage output per second, but in an actual fight, it gets more complex
Shame that arena is broken for AI. You can see how all range characters keep backing up into the gate ending up getting stuck in a corner.
Seem like AI doesn't know there is a gate. Would be a different story if range AI would bait around the arena.
Yeah, that arena isn't the best for this, sadly. I've seen a really cool colosseum map, but it's not available for download. :/

You could use well know beautiful environments for battles. I am sure AI would have less problems navigating them.

@@chacknoris6552 I wanted an enclosed arena-like environment like this, and there's nothing in vanilla that really fits. 😅 At least I'm not aware of anything.
Most maps are either too small or too large, which leads to many problems, such as making good camera work impossible. This especially applies to smaller rooms, where I constantly end up moving the camera into a wall because both NPCs are at opposite sides of the room.
With larger maps indoors, there usually are different "levels" connected with stairs or something similar, and NPCs are terrible at navigating those and aiming with spells, let alone making it very hard to follow with the camera. If it's outdoors, it's usually not a flat area, so NPCs constantly get stuck on something, or move into something that I can't capture properly with the camera.
If you have any suggestions, feel free! I have tried many maps, but I'm open for suggestions 😄
