Howdy, a quick note. It was brought to my attention that the Dragon Priest Summon is actually a cut spell from the game. It is technically in the game but only obtainable through console commands. If you are wondering the command, a quick google search will pop it up. I apologize, I did not see that when I was conducting my research on these spells. Sorry again. I was wondering why I had never seen this spell, I assumed it was just a really rare drop or hard to obtain. However this summon can still happen through a mask in the game, but the tome itself is not available.
It wasn't cut from the game, it just isn't a normal spell. It's summoned randomly when you're wearing a draonpreist mask called "Konahrik". So the spell is still in the game, you just don't cast it via normal means.

The game become too boring when I reached 100 conjuration, no matter what attacks me, dragons, dragon priests, trolls, whatever! I just summon 2 dremora lords and grab the popcorn
Any skill tree reach 100 make the game easy as fck. I played steal archer and with sneak and dark brotherhood set i can 1 shot most enemy. The boss is also the same. Just put a follower to distract it and sneak shot behind.
One huge weakness that the seeker has is that it is extremely vulnerable to ranged attacks due to the fact that its movement is restricted to a slow glide. Archers and spell casters rip it to shreds in no time at all.
You forgot to mention that Arniel's Shade literally costs 0 magicka to summon and is immortal (doesn't take any damage). He doesn't die, his timer just runs out. And when that happens you can just summon him again at no cost.
flaming familiar is kinda op. 1.The explosion does 50 dmg (the same as a fireball) + the cost is way smaller compared to the fireball 2.For some reason the guards dont attack you if the explosion kills anybody so you can Summon it next to a npc wait for it to explode or attack it yourself to make it explode and nobody cares (I used it in the dark brotherhood mostly but still cool) 3.If you have high enough conjuration you can get a perk that allows you to summon it super far so It becomes a more accurate fireball.
I had illia and a goblin follower. I gave illia the sanguine rose and she would summon a dremora and use her own summon for a storm atronach. The goblin would summon a storm atronach. I would summon a flame thrall. I just sat back and watched them take an entire fort by themselves.
Conjuration classes are some of my favorites to play in Skyrim. I really would've like it if your conjurations could be "leveled" individually. I like the Familiar as well, so it's unfortunate how weak it is and will always remain unless you've got a mod for it. I thought Mistman would look cooler. For some reason I was expecting him to be wearing a ragged black cloak giving a kinda of grim reaper look. Haha, I love how the Troll just turned and ran from the Seeker. I mean, I would too. The Dremora Lord appearing in just his small clothes had me dying! He's so badass he doesn't need armor.
The zombies were overlooked for a good reason, but I want to add something regarding our trusty rotting friends outside of combat or aesthetics: they are perfect chests. You can use the spell to permanently reanimate one humanoid after dumping all your trash into the corpse and it can still move freely and (more imprtantly) fasttravel with you. You don't even have to search for new corpses when you want your stuff back. Just summon/conjure other units -for example an atronarch- and the zombie will just fall over instead of falling apart into a pile of ash. You can reanimate it again when you are done with your stuff.
I love the sanguine rose, sure it uses soul gems instead of magicka but it summons an unbound dremora that doesnt want to kill you. And also you can use it along with a summon or conjuration shout
I really wish we could have evolved the 3 elemental Atronachs into their Ancient counterparts (the only one we ever saw was the Frost one, which was Summoned by Vyrthur). Would be nice to see actual progression in the summon, since there are two summon spells of (visually) the same Atronach for each.
Id bump up the ash guardian and here's why: I've played with build where you are basically absorbing all magic from spells. Spawn a hostile one and bam, unlimited magika. You can do that with a circle of protection but that's a master spell and restoration is hard to grind. Either way this is extremely useful for mages, especially if your a vampire in broad daylight. OwO
Super late to mention this but still one of my favourite parts of an ash guardian is that they don't count against your summon limit and also they will guard wherever they are summoned for a crazy amount of time, so if you want you can have one set up around your home to deal with any trouble
I remember playing with a spell mod years ago that wound up adding in a game breaking spell that summoned a Mudcrab who exploded on death... So many encounters were made trivial by just unleashing one into a room ahead of me, so that little suicidal mudcrab will always have a special place in my heart. I can't find the mod anymore, think it might've been Midas's?
Arniels shade it’s actually a pretty good summon I think I remember it costing zero Magica also it’s immune to physical attacks so it’s good for any playthough any build should use it If you get it maybe except stealth archers while they’re not detected once they are detected tho they should probably use this spell because he can take melee hits Also in your demonstration he does his spark spells he has other spells like chain lightning for example I bet his Ai just uses it with crowds though hence why he just used spark spells

I like the Wrathman best. I play a sneaky mage and a meatshield that can actually deal damage is pretty good... I like them better than Dremora as well, because they usually last longer in combat for some reason.
Seekers have a fear effect with them, so the troll was right to be scared. As for the dragon priest, I would say it's second because it also summons either a frost or (usually) a storm atronach. So you get 2 summons for the price of one.
If Karstaag was a permanent thrall then he would take the cake for best summoned creature. But of course they had to make things “fair” so you can only summon him 3 times.
Arniels shade is awesome because it always lasts the full 60 seconds cuz he can’t take any damage it can take a boss enemy’s attention for a while plus you can spawn him in a lot farther than most summons so if you want him on a different roof to take an archer off you it’s a lot easier
Few i think are worth mentioning that you missed. The flaming familiar, basically a walking fireball spell. Fun times with silent casting. The aetherial staff that summons dwemer spheres & spiders- but who tf needs it when dragonborn has them as actual followers? The aetherial crown's too op to give up anyways lol
Ash spawn are probably my favorite vanilla summon, they are like tankier flame atronachs and have melee attacks. Seekers are pretty fun too, nothing like setting eldrich horrors on unsuspecting bandits.
Love the list, (being a summoner main) but I think you should have separated the thralls from the regular atronaches because they get extra abilities along with being able to last ‘indefinitely’
yo Arniel's shade is literally s teir, the reason for this is that he DOESNT TAKE ANY PHYSICAL DAMAGE meaning he can only take damage from spells. this makes him the best tank and also the fact that he costs NOTHING to cast. how did you over look this???
4:35 Watched this just to see what you had to say about flaming familiar. Little known facts bout flaming familiar: Damage *is* effected by destruction fire perk tree AND fortify destruction potions. This makes flaming familiar a very deadly heat seeking missile, and far from just a gimmick to me, but glad to see him mentioned any way. Edit: ... K, don't know if you noticed but... Arniel takes 0 damage from everything. He'll be a zappy boy until his time runs out, and doesn't stagger either.
Missing summons: Karstaag, Durnehviir, Werebear (Beast Stone) Yeah. Karstaag can be summoned. Three times and outdoors only. Sorry bud but Durnehviir is counted as a summon. He takes up a conjuration slot. Ash Guardian, on the other hand, doesn't take up a conjuration slot, i.e. you can summon two Dremora Lords (Twin Souls) and an Ash Guardian at the same time.
Shout, shout, power. None of the three are spells, which he stated was the criteria to be on the list (even though he flubbed up Dragon Priest, since it’s a passive on a mask).
I just started a playthrough where my chick supposedly escaped from cyrodil and was once a healer. So obviously she mainly has restoration skills, and even heals her companion during combat. I stumbled on being a Summoner in my first run though and oh my god I loved it. Twin Strom Atronachs for anything ranged or Dragons and twin Dremora Lords for any close in combat. I would just let them run loose and then I would just conjure swords or bows and cast spells when needed. Very, very powerful and fun. I am thinking of doing another Skyrim run through in the near future and you can bet I will go Summoner. I will have to find me that dragon priest summon though, that one looks quite awesome.
Also forgot one last importance to the Frost, Flame, and Storm Atronachs. They have the Thrall form where they’re permanent personal companies. Though the Conjure Thralls does have a huge downside, they cost more magical to summon and takes longer to charge up.
To me the Wrathman is the best Very tanky, like very very tanky, specially with the dark souls perk He's damage is comparable to the Dremora Lord, he's obviously weaker than the Dremora Lord but he's superior tanky-ness makes him a more mana efficient combat summon when fighting late game enemies Although Arniel's shade is technically the best tank you can get since he's literally untouchable, his mage ai makes him unreliable I put a lot of value on tanking over dmg with my summons because as conjurer I have to reduce my hp/lv a lot just so I have enough Mana to use summons effectively in the first place, meaning I can't tank for them all I can do is throw them out and hide shooting fire bolts or something from a distance
Wrathmen do indeed have the highest HP. With the Dark Souls perk it should be 1,000+. They're the defensive tank to the Dremora Lord's offensive attacker; the latter always come with Daedric Greatswords of the Inferno.
I use the flaming familiar a lottttt, especially in draugr filled caves/ruins. He can seek out enemies but you have to time it at least 5 seconds before you want your enemy hit. They def do a lot of good in the beginning and more towards the end depending on your build. They’re pretty cheap for conjuring, and I most commonly use him with a mix of builds. Really enjoyed this video ^-^ I will agree the ghost pupper has a place in my heart
I love/hate the Conjuration school in Skyrim. I love having the ability to summon up your own posse of two or four beings to fight on your behalf. And I hate how said conjured beings do not level up with you.
@Ralis Sedarys That's where the necromancy variant comes into play. Using Dead Thrall on a Volkihar Vampire(requires Necromage) or a Forsworn Ravager, or any of the Arch level spellcasters gives you quite a bit of power in fights. The Vampire and some of the spellcasters can also heal themselves, making it rare for them to get dropped in a fight.
Once you can summon two bound dremora, you can start looting while they deal with the dungeon boss.

You should have this comment fixed
I JUST got my hopes up
It wasn't cut from the game, it just isn't a normal spell. It's summoned randomly when you're wearing a draonpreist mask called "Konahrik". So the spell is still in the game, you just don't cast it via normal means.
@@James--Parker The chance is pretty low. 3% of summoning a Dragon Priest if u are below 15% of your max health. I guess that's why I didn't know this till today.
The Interesting NPCs mod includes a quest where you can obtain a tome to learn this spell, actually. Or yeah, console.

One huge weakness that the seeker has is that it is extremely vulnerable to ranged attacks due to the fact that its movement is restricted to a slow glide. Archers and spell casters rip it to shreds in no time at all.

@@mal4797 It's a power, not a shout.
flaming familiar is kinda op.
1.The explosion does 50 dmg (the same as a fireball) + the cost is way smaller compared to the fireball
2.For some reason the guards dont attack you if the explosion kills anybody so you can Summon it next to a npc wait for it to explode or attack it yourself to make it explode and nobody cares (I used it in the dark brotherhood mostly but still cool)
3.If you have high enough conjuration you can get a perk that allows you to summon it super far so It becomes a more accurate fireball.
The flaming familiar is actually really good in narrow hallways where all the enemies group up.
Arniel is best against mages
Shock < magic users
Fire < quick fight /trolls
Frost < melee/charge spam
I really wish we could have evolved the 3 elemental Atronachs into their Ancient counterparts (the only one we ever saw was the Frost one, which was Summoned by Vyrthur). Would be nice to see actual progression in the summon, since there are two summon spells of (visually) the same Atronach for each.
That Dremora Lord's prolly like, "Oh come on! Now!? Of all times!?"
Id bump up the ash guardian and here's why:
I've played with build where you are basically absorbing all magic from spells. Spawn a hostile one and bam, unlimited magika. You can do that with a circle of protection but that's a master spell and restoration is hard to grind. Either way this is extremely useful for mages, especially if your a vampire in broad daylight. OwO
Frost Atronach carried me through my legendary pure mage playthrough
I summon Frosty and Stormy, they will fuck everything that move
@@MyH3ntaiGirl lol
Super late to mention this but still one of my favourite parts of an ash guardian is that they don't count against your summon limit and also they will guard wherever they are summoned for a crazy amount of time, so if you want you can have one set up around your home to deal with any trouble
I remember playing with a spell mod years ago that wound up adding in a game breaking spell that summoned a Mudcrab who exploded on death... So many encounters were made trivial by just unleashing one into a room ahead of me, so that little suicidal mudcrab will always have a special place in my heart.
I can't find the mod anymore, think it might've been Midas's?
i loooove that the Troll just ran from the seeker! xD
It took one look at it and was like
OH HELL NO I'M OUT OF HERE
Arniels shade it’s actually a pretty good summon I think I remember it costing zero Magica also it’s immune to physical attacks so it’s good for any playthough any build should use it If you get it maybe except stealth archers while they’re not detected once they are detected tho they should probably use this spell because he can take melee hits Also in your demonstration he does his spark spells he has other spells like chain lightning for example I bet his Ai just uses it with crowds though hence why he just used spark spells
There’s also another niche “summon”. With dragon aspect, once you get low hp a spectral ancient Dragonborn will automatically show up to defend you

Kaarstagg: Hello
Seekers have a fear effect with them, so the troll was right to be scared. As for the dragon priest, I would say it's second because it also summons either a frost or (usually) a storm atronach. So you get 2 summons for the price of one.
Flame atronach is so good since you can get the summon so early. I started my first battlemage build and she can carry you so hard in a lot of areas

My daedra always scream “A challenger is near!”
Arniels shade is awesome because it always lasts the full 60 seconds cuz he can’t take any damage it can take a boss enemy’s attention for a while plus you can spawn him in a lot farther than most summons so if you want him on a different roof to take an archer off you it’s a lot easier

Missing summons: Karstaag, Durnehviir, Werebear (Beast Stone)
Yeah.
@@motodog242 They ARE spells, or better called "magic". Otherwise what are they? Physical weapons???

Fun fact the wrath men spell benefit from necro perks and conjuration perks so… kinda dope
I just started a playthrough where my chick supposedly escaped from cyrodil and was once a healer. So obviously she mainly has restoration skills, and even heals her companion during combat. But why she had to escape was because of her unacceptable ways. She would resurrect loved once so you could say bye to them one last time, even if they didn't live very long. Currently shes trying to get to the point to where they won't die, and she can return people to their families for good. (goal is to get conjugation leveled up and have the dead thrall perk. During any quest line my main focus will be keeping everyone on my side alive, including the civil war. Challenging so far but I think it'll be fun and keep me from just shitting on everything and getting bored.)
They have the Thrall form where they’re permanent personal companies. Though the Conjure Thralls does have a huge downside, they cost more magical to summon and takes longer to charge up.
He literally said it 3 times lol
To me the Wrathman is the best
Very tanky, like very very tanky, specially with the dark souls perk
He's damage is comparable to the Dremora Lord, he's obviously weaker than the Dremora Lord but he's superior tanky-ness makes him a more mana efficient combat summon when fighting late game enemies
Although Arniel's shade is technically the best tank you can get since he's literally untouchable, his mage ai makes him unreliable
I put a lot of value on tanking over dmg with my summons because as conjurer I have to reduce my hp/lv a lot just so I have enough Mana to use summons effectively in the first place, meaning I can't tank for them all I can do is throw them out and hide shooting fire bolts or something from a distance

@Ralis Sedarys At level 100, I should be able to summon 10 or 20 Atronochs/ dead bodies to fight for me. Not just two!
@Ralis Sedarys You can actually take the equipment off a Thrall, smith and enchant it, and put it back on their corpse before raising them.
I see what you're doing. You think by putting a sexy woman Dragonborn in the thumbnail, I'll click.
Well you're right.
