    Brilliant video - I have watched 5 others and they all complain that the filter is really difficult to get to ... perhaps they should watch your video first lol AWESOME dude !

      @@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD It was a massive help. Looking at a Haynes manual is good but it's better to actually see soneone do it properly before I do it myself.

    Recently took my Citroen dispatch to a garage because it would occasionally cut out and take a while to restart.
    They told me it needed New injectors and fuel pump and possibly a fuel rail. Total quote almost £2500
    I told them to try the fuel filter first and it was instantly cured for £20

    • @HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD
      @HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD  Год назад +2

      Always good to try the simple things first! I've lost a lot of confidence in the "professionals" over the years so try and do as much as I can myself. I think common sense and technical skill have deteriorated over the years and now mechanics just plug them in, read the codes and change whatever the computer says has a fault code, not thinking what may have caused the fault code may not be a faulty sensor, but the sensor doing its job.

      @@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD Yes that was exactly what they did. They were very embarrassed when they fixed it for £20

      Thanks for watching and the comment! I know, I've looked for things about this van and not found anything. I had a problem with the alternator and changed the pulley on it a few months ago. I should have done a video on that TBH. That was one I looked for myself before doing it!

      Thanks for watching & the comment! According to my Haynes manual, this covers the citroen dispatch, fiat scudo and peugeot expert from 2007 - Aug 2016 (56 reg - 16 reg). Remember this video is for the 2 litre diesel, procedures do vary for the other engine models.

      @@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD Thanks, this is for my engine, definitely.
      I just wanted to service it myself as I don't trust the garages do it properly.
      Used to have a Berlingo and the air filter was incredibly difficult to access, loads of parts to remove.
      A Citroën mechanic told me a lot of mechanics were not bothering to change the filters, shocking !

    I have same from 2014 and I can't find the DPF sensor, DPF was flushed and the garage told me I need a new DPF sensor.Thanks

    • @HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD
      @HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD  8 месяцев назад

      I'm pretty certain mine doesn't have a DPF on it. when I turn the ignition on, lights such as the EML light up but not one for a DPF (I can see on the dash where it should light up). Usually there are two thin pipes on a DPF filter, one to the front and one to the rear, and these would lead back to the sensor which I believe measures pressure before the DPF and after the DPF. Thanks for watching and the comment.

    I have the same van but when i remove the felt cover there's an additional thing bolted in place & tied with a maze of hoses & cables. Cannot find any combination of extentions & knuckles to get a socket on that filter cover. Not made any easier by the fact the hexagon at the top of the cover is.... plastic. Even grips don't work in the tight space. Maybe there's a "special tool" involved?

    • @HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD
      @HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD  Год назад +1

      On the video I manage to get in with a ratchet and 27mm socket, however the most recent time I did this, I joined a few extension bars together and got to it that way. I'm sure I fed the extension bars between some wires / pipes to get reasonable access, I know its quite tight! Maybe there are some variations between engines? Hope that helps.

    • @myfrequencies1912
      @myfrequencies1912 Год назад +2

      @@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD I could get a 27mm socket on top of the filter cover, but with no space for the ratchet handle to go on the back of the socket! Went to buy a 27mm spanner, cut it in half with an angle grinder, job done. Next time it's a ratchet spanner cut in half, even easier!
      Clearly some variation. As soon as you pulled the felt cover to the side you could see the filter. Mine is totally obscured by.... A thing!
      Cheers for the very informative video nontheless!!!

    Great, easy to follow video. Thanks. Im having problems with my lights (staying on / hazard flashers coming on etc). Been told it would most likely be the light control module, but cant locate it. Any ideas where that would sit on this model (mines a 58 plate, 2.0 D). Thanks

      Thanks for watching and the comment! Had a quick look in the haynes manual and the BSI unit (built in system interface) which I believe controls lights etc, says "BSI unit is located behind fascia panel panel on the drivers side" I think that will be the small plastic tray type thing about knee height to the right hand side of the steering wheel. Ive never had any issues with this so not 100% certain TBH.

    • @HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD
      @HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD  2 года назад

      Hi, thanks for watching and the comment! Unfortunately not. As it is such a minor leak (not even dripping onto the plastic tray) I decided to leave it for the time being. I may have a look when I next service it in the summer when its a bit warmer. Depending on what it make take to repair I might just live with it. Its a relatively old van and will probably change it in the next year or two.
