    Great, great, great! I discovered Purros the very first time in Oct 2022, and I am looking very forward to return there in this year's Nov. When I watch your videos and listen to what you're talking about, then not much is missing from being there myself. Thank you for sharing! 👍🏾

    Hallo Big D! Wondering if the elephants ever poke your rooftop tent while u r sleeping? Also have you heard any lions or leopard? Baie dankie!

    • @roamingyak
      @roamingyak  Год назад +1

      Yes, in other places, not Purros, elephants have come up and used the rear roofrack platform to scratch themselves on in the middle of the night - very very scary to be woken up by the vehicle shifting side to side.
      A lot of lions and leopards in future series. In Purros the lions were moved out of the area due to lion/human conflicts I believe. There is at least one leopard in the canyon of Purros.

    I really enjoy your videos - and appreciate all the effort you put in. RUclips tends to support the small and often - but what you are doing is much better. I really hope you keep going with it.

      No ! … 😊 Africa seems a bit of a scary place from what I read and hear … though that’s one of the reasons your videos are good - they are a glimpse of real life over there.

      I have always wanted to explore that Kuene region…a good friend in Swakopund has offered to guide me anytime I am ready. He has a hunting conservancy up there as well. Be well!

    Been waiting for this to drop....awesome!.
    The key word you used is reality. We are bombarded with videos from RUclips "Overlanders" all racing to get to the next destination and to outdo one another with vehicles, cameras and "the shot". Your content and style, almost naive, are so refreshing and real. I kinda hope you remain a bumbling technical idiot. The camera misbehaving, being afraid of lightning and snakes, you're not superhuman, just one of us. These are the things that most ordinary folk will, and do, go through, and I find it very comforting. I don't want to be sold the glamour of overlanding and adventure. I want what it will be like to follow where you have been. Selfishly, I hope you stay true to your adventure and presentation. Purros would have been endlessly better than being locked up in our own homes, you made the right decision.
    Looking forward to the next one....stay safe...

      Thanks for taking the time to share your kind words Dallas, it's always greatly appreciated - even more so on this video where the comments section is very quiet, I assume because its so bad most people fell asleep after 10 minutes!?
