      By this video my 2020 Hellcat Redeye widebody last year and got 712 rwhp which puts it a little over 800 hp. This year still no mods but more milage and a lot better. This year I got 791 rwhp which is over 900 hp. So there you have an idea of what it can be. This year was at a different time of day and about 20 degrees cooler. Also done on a Mustang dyno. Not bad at all. I am getting ready to mod her up to around 1000 hp this month or next. Just waiting for a slot to open up. Good luck and enjoy your beast. Be careful out there!!

      @@BlessedMe11so the manufacturers hp and tq rating is how much power the engine produces. When you dyno the car that number is lower because the power is transferred through the transmission, driveshaft, axles, and then finally to the wheels. When you see someone referring to "wheel horsepower" or abbreviated "whp" this is what they're referring to, which is the actual power output being put to the pavement. Hope that helps!

      Fact all dynos can read what you want, they are estimates because every dyno has setttings that can alter readouts. Engine dynos are the most accurate. It’s best used as a tuning tool. Trap speeds tell the story of the car. Drag times tell the story of the driver. Drag runs still have variables like temp, weather, tires, surface, and altitude.

    Actually the calculation is "85% of what is 661", or
    0.85x = 661
    or
    x = 661/0.85 = 778 HP
    However, most modern drive trains are more efficient than the old ones (where the 15% number originated) so the loss is actually more like 12%. Doing that same calculation, but replacing 0.85 with 0.88, you get 751. Either way, it's more than 717. 🙂👍

      Heat “soak” and yeah without intercooler or after cooler forced induction engines suffer a lot in heat.
      I always go back to blown injected alcohol engines compared to blown gasoline engines. I was always underwhelmed with gas blower engines compared to blown alcohol. Alcohol takes about twice the fuel to burn completely in a given amount of air.. all of that fuel goes through the blower cooling the charge and not needing a cooler. New supercharged cars don’t get that advantage because the fuel injectors are after the supercharger. With a supercharged big block Chevy on gas 700-800hp is reasonable whereas on alcohol 1200-1500hp is typical. Mainly due to cooling the air charge but you are also using twice the fuel so more energy as well. You can look at a blown engine on alcohol and the supercharger will be sweating like a cup of soda with ice on a hot day.. condensation because the supercharger/cup is so cool. Every 10 degrees is %1 horsepower up or down.

      512 whp with a 4500lb car would move like a snail.
      Drive train loss is 215hp? I'm not an engine builder but I find that hard to believe. You loose 200hp from drive train.
      I've seen multiple dynos of hellcats and usually it's 590-630whp depending on the dyno. So thats a average 10-18% loss.

      Just got a white 2020 Hellcat with demonic red interior. Is it possible that the Dodge stated numbers are closer to correct, but there is actually less than 15% drivetrain loss? Do you really think Dodge actually tweaks tune to add 10 horsepower or more likely they just tell us that the Daytona is 10 more hp than regular Hellcat to sell the Daytona. Same engine so seems like easier and less cost for Dodge to just say that. I realize that you have seen Daytonas pull away, but in real world everyday driving you know you are not going to notice 10hp when car puts down over 700. If they can add 10hp with a tune tweak seems like it would be possible to add even more just with a tune?

      You can't, the math in the video is slightly incorrect. The FLYWHEEL power is what gets degraded as it travels through the clutch, transmission, axles, etc. You can't reverse the process while keeping the 15% of an already lowered figure (being wheel hp), so you need to to find what 661 is 85 percent OF. Dividing by a number less than 1 is the only way to reverse it - you had it right. 661/0.85 is about 777hp brake horsepower.

    To add 15% is incorrect. When you add 15% to 85% the way you did you only added 15% of 85%. The problem you’re trying to solve is 85% of what number gives you 661. So what u should do is “(X).85=661”. Your answer would be 777.65hp. Divide whatever horsepower you get on the dyno by .85. If the loss was 20% that means the car would’ve had 826.25hp.
