Where I come from, if a public servant disobeys the law so openly they are shamed. If they say "I'm x and I work for y" we'd be like "EVEN BETTER! THIS IS GOING PUBLIC AND YOU'LL LOSE YOUR JOB!". Public servants should be setting an example, not using the title as a ticket to do what they want.
