Even tho this is true in most of the other videos, the officer here wasn't answering to their call. He answered to other call.
That cop wasn't unreasonable actually. There was a unit patrolling the area, it wasn't his job to do their job. He was there only to answer an accident call, that wasn't his area to enforce. He said he'll tell the patrolling unit of the problem. If they didn't come, then the police car they keep talking about is the problem.
Just because they said that no one got hit, doesn't mean that no on actually got hit. He's responding to a call and is probably going to look around.
Besides, not everyone can write/has the tools to write traffic tickets.
I love how that smashed car stayed there yet idiots still tried driving on the side walk around it.

Best part is, the insurance won't cover ANYTHING because both were driving on the sidewalk so the repairs must come from their own pockets. And if they try to sue or go legal, they'll both will have a bit of a hard time explaining to the judge why they were driving on the sidewalk in the first place. So wherever you look at it, they are pretty much screwed.

***** There are laws relating to damaging other peoples property. A stationary vehicle if hit by another always will win costs. Just because there is a civil traffic violation doesn't stop other law applying otherwise you e.g. could kill people committing illegal acts etc.

An accident is potentially and most likely higher priority than parking violations, people could be injured, he did the right thing IMO.

that car was written off id say. a very expensive encounter
Modern cars are built to crumple like that, as long as the main passenger compartment is not damaged it can easily be fixed by replacing the front end.
I think there was more damage than just the shell part. Hence why the car was still there at night.
they are designed to crumple like that yes. but it also dosent take much to write off the axle , differential etc and make it unroadworthy
