I wish everyone in Russia was like the lady who didn't speak Russian very well, she was very polite and understanding and so nice, and when she realized she had messed up, presuming she isn't from Russia so she doesn't know the signs and laws very well, she said sorry and fixed the mistake. They're wide for emergency vehicle use if it's needed.

I don't agree with you guys about that parking area.
It may not have the parking sign, but everyone is obviously parking there, *you're only crossing a few meters of the sidewalk*, at the very low speed and the sidewalk is ginormous. No one is actually endangering anyone, so if you should bug anyone about it, it's authorities to put the parking sign there.
If there ain't a parking sign there then parking is illegal there. Common sense...

If there are no areas where you can cross the sidewalk you cant cross it, often they use road crossings as an entrance(which sometimes you can see in the videos), thats all illegal.

I mean, everyone parked there. Since the police is doing nothing about it, it probably means that it's a "parking area".
No sign is needed when it's "illegal" BUT the community made it a parking area.

I'm obviously not familiar with the location they are filming, but in all fairness from here it looks to be a entrance to a parking lot and that's exactly what it seems many of the drivers are attempting to do.

If there weren't a lot of drivers breaking the laws, there would not be these vids in the first place.. Those cars, in fact, tell exactly how bad the situation is in Russia. Their traffic is in chaos, because government cannot design good infra for cities, officials are corrupted, most of the people do not care or are afraid of criminal organizations, etc. The county is a mess..
In honesty that sidewalk is freaking huge and looks kinda normal with cars parked in it. We have streets in california with no sideways and some that are below 2ft.

vehicles are permitted to drive over the pavement (sidewalk) only when accessing a property. since its a resturant car park it is a property and actually completely legal if due care is given and the vehicle gives way to pedestrians

I think you guys should take another tactic. You should wear roller skates and carry a lead pipe and every time someone drives on the sidewalk and you have to skate out of the way, you wack their car with the lead pipe and skate off in the other direction. This way they can't complain that some random pedestrian hit their car with a pipe by almost running them over.
