ATH, you've just single handedly redefined how fragrances should be reviewed. The breakdown of the notes, the ratios, the proportions, why this and why that, the linking, the switching and what we should expect in the performance category. And to top it all of, the occasions this masterpiece was designed for, I mean, c'mon! Brilliant review ATH.
Finally a positive review on how I’ve always felt about this fragrance. This cologne actually works as a head turner for me even tho I don’t wear fragrances to impress anyone, I wear fragrances because I love how they smell.
The fact that Aaron knew the performance issues of this fragrance on the spot just by putting his nose on it is by itself freakin' remarkable! Great Review Aaron.
After watching this video countless times, I finally found it on Chanel's official site available in the 100ml (50ml seems to always be available). Just received it today and sprayed twice on the forearm just like Aaron. Being able to watch Aaron's review while experiencing the scent and it's novelty is a fantastic way to discover a scent. Fantastic!
This man whispering in my ears whilst giving me a class of aroma chemicals and concentrations and combinations to make certain smell profiles is something I didn't know I needed or enjoyed so much. Keep up the good work.
I love how you speak about the fragrances in general in a avery professional yet simple way Aaron! I can't help but watch the videos and enjoy your honest review, breakdown and general reaction. Truly love them all :)
This is the best daytime(mostly) summer fragrance in my collection(with Dior Cologne close second) and IMO the best of the Allure line. The way that the sweet accords are used here, so well blended in order not to "undermine" the fresh character of the fragrance, is indicative of the brilliance of Master Perfumer Jacques Polge. Wonderful video, Aaron! Greetings🇬🇷
Very smooth creamy lemon meringue pie that's exactly why I've liked this scent since it was released. Definite compliment getter. Great review as always ATH 👌
Been waiting for this for a long time because the allure line is my favorite. Immediately stopped what I was doing to watch this. Great fragrance, great reviewer. Thanks and regards from the Caribbean.
Aaron, your channel is so unique, really...most reviewers talk about perfumes in such a superficial way, whereas you go full out talking about the technical side of how these perfumes are composed and that is so interesting. Keep doing you Aaron!
I'm so happy you finally reviewed this, Aaron. Either I have miracle skin or I got a really good batch because the projection bubble is slightly larger and the sillage is to die for. I was at an end of year work party (here in Australia that means high summer heat) wore this for the first time and received a great deal of positive attention. Very few people wear this in my part of the world, so I get to enjoy it often. High time I got a backup bottle. Thanks for reminding me!
Big fan of édition blanche. People crap on the longevity but after owning my bottle for a bit after buying it brand new from Chanel, I can say that it has improved, for me.
Edition Blanche has good performance for me. Lasts throughout a whole workday. I can put it on 07.30 in the morning before going out and my family can still smell it when I come home. I do however do 6-8 sprays.
Hey Aaron, love your videos! you've come a long way from your first videos, the way you interact, the way you connect... Here's to many more vids to come!
This is an excellent summer fragrance, different from the bleu and other allure fragrances in the Chanel line. It has a pleasant sillage and very easy on the nose. It’s long lasting enough for a summer scent which are decidedly effervescent as I hope you’d agree. Thank you for an excellent review! PS I know you said you don’t like vetivers but I do think Chanel Sycomore is a really good example. Fingers crossed you like it!
Another great review! You were the first RUclipsr to point out the Chanel DNA to me. To my nose, it has a warm, slightly feminine body lotion smell. It seems to be an all Chanel fragrances. Thank you for all that you do!

Just discovered your channel, and love your knowledge base regarding the construction of fragrances. At 57 I seem to be on a personal journey to discover my 'signature' fragrance - as yet I haven't discovered it. I used to wear (and love) 'Happy for Men' by Clinique, but they had a bad batch run where it would not smell at all upon my skin. I'm experimenting with various fragrances, trying to learn about the various notes and seasonal aspects, but in all honesty, I'm a fresh, clean, seaside smell kind of guy. Oddly, I've gone along with other reviewer recommendations and found them not to my taste. Even the 'infamous' Armani Acqua De Gio Profondo doesn't do it for me. Looking forward to learning more from your video library. Keep up the good work.
Hi Simian. If you can get into a Chanel boutique, try a spray of their Sycamore fragrance. It’s part of their “exclusives” range. Absolutely stunning. It might be something that suits your requirements nicely.
Love your reviews mate. Can you review Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, or is it similar to Edition Blanche its not worth doing? I know you ripped it to bits in a Frag-Mental video.
First time I smelled this I thought "what is all the hype and talk about, this just smells like lemon" but then........ The second time I smelled this 😬😬😬😬oh my days, one of thr best fragrances I've smelled 🔥🔥
Another great review Aaron. I couldn't agree with you more with how this Chanel reminds you of the beach. When I bought this it reminded me of the Carly Simon song "You're so Vain." Now this fragrance isn't offensive nor does it make people think that you're vain...but the line "You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht" beautifully reminded me of how this fragrance makes you feel...elegant and sophisticated with a subtle hint of confidence.
Wonderful review as always Aaron. Just a quick note, the recording of this video is sounding very boomy on my HomePod mini, the bass seems to be a bit heavy, and I’m wondering if the bass is being boosted somehow in post-production?
Excellent review. Like the chemical analysis. Just bought it today and really love it. I have a lot of citrus frags but this one is surprisingly unique.
Interesting. Vertiver has 3 main different origins. Bourbon vertiver (complex aroma, salty), Haitian vertiver (more earthy and greenish smells) and Java vertiver (smells a little like smoke, greenish and damp soil). Vertiver is an amazing ingredient I think and can elevate citrus ingredients and add depth. The Java variant is my favourite however (but that’s probably because I am in love with the smell of truffle also 🤫) Interesting fact: Why is there no scent that uses truffle as an ingredient???
@@ProtectMyLiberty Not yet, but I’ll keep this in mind and will make this my first try next time in the shop. Thanks for tipping. Let you know once I’ve smelled it ☺️
Soooo many fragrances use truffle lol. Half of Tom Ford's stuff uses it. A lot of Valentino does as well. Even one or two Carolina Herrera fragrances use it.
@@thedayidied Really? Thanks for the info, will check it out. Real truffle is heavenly, synthetic is simply 🤮 Somehow I do not like Tom Ford fragrances, something in the dna that really set me off.

I like a good, informative review. Been debating for months now to order this and AHSEE or not. I got the original AHS and I love it but the other flankers cost 128 dollars a bottle (100ml, mind you) which is kinda costy but you may have just pushed me closer towards placing that order.
I dont like vetiver either! How does this compare with dior homme cologne? Which is better? I own dior homme cologne, as well as bleu de chanel edp, allure home sport, and allure sport extreme, and have though about buying this as well. Chanel fragrances definitely are not as loud as dior fragrances but they tend to smell more natural. But I'm not huge on lemon. I prefer orange or the citrus in clinique happy. Another great video.
Yes I agree I think Clinique is the cheapest one that does the job with longevity and performance and safest pick in my opinion if you want to start on fragrances with cheapies.
@@elrubio3955 I also like the extreme the most. I dont get the greatest performance from the original sport. Its still good but feels unfinished. Extreme feels like the finished product and the performance is much better. I'm a huge vanilla fan and extremes dry down is amazing. I like bleu edp and parfum, as well. The edt version suffers from the same performance issues that allure sport original suffers from in my humble opinion. The edp is soft, intimate, and well put together, it doesnt project like a dior product but I prefer bdc to dior most of the time because I dont go nose blind from scorching synthetics. I catch whiffs of bdc throughout the whole day and I attribute this to its being less harsh on your olfactory senses. I was a huge dior fan but as I have grown older and gain better knowledge and understanding about fragrances and how they work, ive become more partial to chanel products.
@@elrubio3955 I havent owned a hermes product but its been on my list of wants for awhile. The flint note is intriguing to me. I like dry downs that are smokey and woody. I recently sampled sauvage elixer and the dry down is amazing. Its probably the best dry down ive ever smelled. That might be novice of me but we like what we like. I tend to gravitate to more mature scents with masculine dry downs, and other than fall and winter gourmands I dont really care for sweet fragrances. Ive heard that hermes products are more mature and masculine scents. I know intense vetiver is big right now but I dont like vetiver. May be the reason ive never owned a hermes fragrance. I think vetiver is a prominent not the use alot. Haitian vetiver I believe.
Oh the timing on this could not be more perfect Aaron! I’ve been going back and forth since yesterday trying to decide whether I want this or Chanel Pour Monsieur EDP since some people compare them somewhat, though obviously Pour Monsieur EDP is much more mature from what I hear.

I like your mic change! I am wondering if you can do a video of aroma chemicals only?
Favorite Summer fragrance together with Dior Homme cologne . Great video. Thanks.
Gotta love your work bro.
Big respect
I dont like vetiver either! How does this compare with dior homme cologne? Which is better? I own dior homme cologne, as well as bleu de chanel edp, allure home sport, and allure sport extreme, and have though about buying this as well. Chanel fragrances definitely are not as loud as dior fragrances but they tend to smell more natural. But I'm not huge on lemon. I prefer orange or the citrus in clinique happy.
Another great video.
Which is your favorite I like the extreme the most haven’t tried the others except bleu de Chanel
@@patricklary81 thats good yea extréme really is good, I need to try much more different ones thinking of getting the tres Hermès or the f black
What an amazing review! I want to buy one of your perfumes. What is your favorite perfume from your line?
Oh the timing on this could not be more perfect Aaron! I’ve been going back and forth since yesterday trying to decide whether I want this or Chanel Pour Monsieur EDP since some people compare them somewhat, though obviously Pour Monsieur EDP is much more mature from what I hear.
Il let you know. I have that to review
@@AaronTerenceHughes thank you Aaron, always looking forward to hearing your take and insight!
The LV also is not very long lasting and it will cost you double. Thanks for another lovely review, Edition Blanche is my fav for summer since 2015.
Hi Aaron, I love your videos, I’m a huge fan of Chanel fragrances . However my two most complemented fragrances are fougere royale by Houbigant and Arabians Tonka by montale . I wondered if you’d do a breakdown on these two as I’d I love to hear what you would say about them
Just picked this up and agree 100%, what a beautiful fragrance.
Definitely one of my favorite for my old ass! It's nice to have confirmation from a pro like yourself! I add a couple of shots of Carbon first to improve longevity. 😉
Love your videos. Please try Givenchy Gentlemen Intense EDT. Got released earlier this year. Its really nice.
