When the scene jump cuts to Martha Kent as she's at Superman's grave as the song ends with "I will miss you more then anything" Gave me Goosebumps. This Movie is truly a work of art.
I’m completely blown away by how Snyder was able to not only make the world see Superman as a god, but also make a small group of Icelandic sailors see Aquaman as a God as well. He understands that beings with abilities that defy all human logic, and force them to question their place in the universe, are seen as more than human, more than what we humans can begin to understand. Therefore, we tend to deify them, idolize them, aggrandize them into more than just people trying to do the right thing. Which is why this scene is so powerful, because it takes a moment of cultural awareness and intersects it with what popular culture defines as superheroes.
I thought they were singing/telling a story about Aquaman but it's a regular song that also it's linked with Martha mourning Clark, Zack amaze me everytime with details of his work. A great visionary.
That’s the point. To the eyes of the mortal world, beings like Aquaman and Superman might as well be considered Gods. One comes from the sea, bringing food and gifts to starving people, and protects them, the other comes from above, cracking open the sky like a bomb, and saving people he doesn’t even know. How else are these people meant to view these beings?
And perfectly synchronized too lol. Like they all knew it was coming and have rehearsed it before. Does Aquaman even know that they do it? Like imagine he just pokes his head back out of the water because he forgot something and he sees them all singing like a freaky cult and he’s just staring at them like “what the hell????”
@@babayada2015 yeah but like how though? These aren’t some uncontacted tribespeople living in the jungle, they’re just regular Icelanders with modern technology. Who did they worship before he came along? We see a vegvisir hung up in their village, but I’m guessing most of them were probably Christian. How long has Aquaman been doing this that he replaced their religion? Does he know that they worship him? Does he want them to? How did he get here to begin with? They provide an interesting setup but they explain nothing.
people complaining the singing is awkward and doesnt mean anything. No wonder people didn't like Snyder's take, he was crafting big brain meals for small minded imps
I wouldnt put it that harshly but I do agree Snyder is heavily misunderstood. His entire artistic vision is based on musical and visual aesthetics and I find it awesome! Watchmen is a great example of this and those who find Zack Snyder pretentious are pretty ignorant. He just likes epic shit so thats what he makes.
Ahh the communist reaction to anyone who disagrees with them. “You’re just a stupid head”. The truth is no matter what Snyder wanted the scene to mean, the creepy woman sniffing his underwear then singing a lament is one of the cringiest things I’ve seen in a movie. It is out of place, awkward and just silly. But if you disagree you’re just not smart….
No movie scene is necessary. Unless it further the story and this does by showing you how people like Arthur are seen by normal people. It’s also just plain fucking beautiful

What a 'tard😂😂 This film sucks, and is overrated and was NOT ENOUGH to save the DCEU franchise.
Rot in Pieces Suck Snyder and his fanbabies!😂🎉

I've always thought it's unrealistic for humans to not take these superhumans as Gods or atleast Gods messengers or something.
Another amazing scene from ZSJL that was cut from the theatrical release. So moody. Thankyou Zack.

Love this
Part of the film
Seeing Martha Kent 😮 breaks my heart, she is a very good actress
Ver a Martha rompe corazön, su mirada llena de dolor (Que Buena actriez)
My favorite Martha Kent right next to Annette O'Toole from Smallville.
James: Mary? No, you are not mary
Maria: it's maria

what a Monty Python sketch is this? XD lulz
Thank you for existing.
Atleast better than most trash Mcu films 😂
Doesn’t it have to be funny in order for it to be Monty Python?
Norse and Icelandic music is the most amazing form of music
Wow!💕💜💜💕💜💜💕

This song makes aquaman feel like some sort of God living in a mortal world

@@nateborie6329 Exactly. The Justice League are more or less modern gods in this world.

I didnt understand this scene the first time i saw this, i started laughing thinking it was a trash scene but they are worshipping
A god comes and blesses them every year when they need help most, they are revering him
And that's quite laughable, to
me.
