- Wonder Woman's theme is downright iconic by now, and yes... I did not use WW84 or 2017 Justice League versions of the theme (mostly because I didn't really care for neither of those movies)
Props to Hans Zimmer, Junkie XL and Rupert Gregson for giving us such an amazing theme for such an amazing character

Except the part where she got completely diminished from fighting Doomsday just to make Superman necessary from Justice League.
The Diana from BvS should have been able to turn Steppenwolf into fish food without ANY help at all.
While we are on the subject of fish, the fact that Atlanteans got so thoroughly bitch slapped in their own environment makes zero sense at all.

That was where the film jumped the shark for me.
Don't get me wrong here.
It's definitely a better film than Josstice League for srue - but that was a low bar to jump over.
Just like BvS it's still bloated, plodding and in need of a rewrite and/or a serious edit to remove the unnecessary bloat.
It could have been much trimmer without fan service that has no relevance to the film plot (ala Martian Manhunter and Iris West) and far, far too many long shots at normal speed on top of the mountains of slow mo that already bloats it.
If this had gone to the cinema he would have been forced to trim it to maximise the number of showings.
Where as we basically got a alpha/beta edit with full CG.
The entire continuous lamentation meme for Wonder Woman actually sounds like an editor temp score/sound track that wasn't fixed before it was released - because that is what they do, put in a temporary track in various places until they have discrete score to fill in the blanks.
This wasn't discrete, just the same thing ad nauseum.

It's not overused! It's a leitmotif and does exactly what it is supposed to do. A leitmotif is a recurrent theme throughout a musical or literary composition, associated with a particular person, idea, or situation.

When Zimmer's Dark Knight theme starts to play you know that something cool is about to happen. Zack snyder did what no other person has been able to do, portray Diana as the literal Goddess she is. (In live action that is). Hell he even kinda portrayed Barry as a God even though he isn't. The snyder cut is an absolutely Epic, Enthralling, Awesome and Awe Inspiring movie.

Wonder woman had the craziest awesome scenes ever, i wish the men's scenes were as epic as hers. I kept rewinding in awe and amazement especially the bank scene.

The lamenting is not overused, I don't care what anyone says. It adds so much about wonder woman's story musically rather than the energising beat music that could be applied to any badass hero.

For all the people that says that the WW JL theme is overused, seems to me that none of you know anything about this topic. Every time Vader comes to the screen the Imperial March is there, every time Godzilla shows up in KOTM his theme is there. Every time the avengers show up in battle their theme is there, Every time the Shark shows up in JAWS the same leimotif shows up. Every single time Indiana Jones do something Indiana Jones would do his theme is there. Have you ever seen 300 or Gladiator?

It’s a quote from Wonder Woman when Diana tells off a British general for not stopping the Germans because they’re convinced the armistice promoted by Sir Patrick (a.k.a. Ares) will stop the war.
For all those saying the lamenting was overused in the ZSJL. It felt that way because the film was originally supposed to release in EPISODES. That motif was supposed to be sprinkled throughout the series. But because we got it as a whole it makes it seem overused. When ZSJL was announced, Junkie XL had to write more of the score in episodic format but hbo max later changed their mind with the release format.
Yeah I do remember that and I never thought about it that way, it does make sense to change the score depending on the format.
Honestly, after the second or third watch I get used to the lamenting plus it has grown on me.

Wait, those movies had her theme? The absence was acutely felt, especially in WW84, composed by Zimmer who with Tina Guo gave us this theme in the first place.
It's like they were afraid use it.
I mean WW84.
I think in the original WW it was used masterfully in one of the best scenes in comic book movie history.
It was in JL 2017, albeit barely and since it used more orchestral music it was harder to notice. Probably the most noticeable parts were her introduction on the statue and right when she uses her bracelets during the terrorist attack. WW84? Honestly I’m blanking so hard rn on where it even plays.
I love how Hans, Tom, and Rupert all gave their own flare to the Wonder Woman theme. I think Rupert’s is my favorite and Tom’s is my second. I just love all of them, though. Rupert is like his own person as well as an incorporation of Han’s heroism and Tom’s badassery. And I’m so happy with the addition of the female vocals in ZSJL!!!!! It’s so perfect!!!!!!!!!! I need that in Wonder Woman 3. I want Rupert to do the music for Wonder Woman 3, though.

Ancient lamentations gaves perfect thrills to all the scenes . Loved these themes made all the scenes very energetic and intense breath taking. You can feel that threat if something powerful stands against you .

the alternate timeline in bruce's "nightmare" was the one in which he sent robin (im not sure if it was dick or someone else) to save lois but failed, causing lois to die and superman to go evil. What should have happened was that wonder woman would go either with batman or without him and saving lois at the cost of her life
@@Bilal2303 no Robin has been dead for years you can see his burnt suit in the batcave in BvS. This nightmare is actually the future where Batman didn't save Lois when Darkseid bootumed into the batcave (which funny enough you can see the Robin suit again in the background).. This Future (Knightmare we fans call it) will eventually become an alternate future when the Flash manages to go back in time and warn Bruce just before Darkseid comes instead of "too soon" in BvS.
@@Bilal2303 also if you read the storyboards of what originally would have been JL2 and JL3, Wonder Woman actually returns in Themyscira only to die there. That is why they have her funeral there (which if you pay close attention to the quick shot, Darkseid is also attending maybe as a firm of respect). When Batman sacrifices himself to save Lois in the Batcave (thanks to Flash actually warning à the right time) Superman goes berserk on Darkseid (he boomtubes out) and then manages to go save Diana just in time and thus preventing the events etc
Humming and the guitars are the hero element of the song.

Now whenever I’m at a museum and I’m looking at the ancient history/native exhibits and artifacts and such, I think of this music. Very powerful and ancient sounding!
